Meanwhile, Beautifly flew over to May's head.
Professor Birch observed it and praised it. "This Beautifly's color and luster are excellent!"
"Thank you, Professor! Beautifly, let's take on the Pokémon Contests together!" May was delighted by the praise.
"Hoo~" Beautifly nodded.
Beautifly has now become May's number-one battler, reaching the peak of the Normal-Class!
"By the way, May, here!" Brock took out a box and handed it to her. "This is a special jelly I made for Beautifly. I prepared it a while ago because I knew it might evolve at any time."
(?˙▽˙?) May quickly took it. "Brock, thank you!"
Then, May opened the lid and said to Beautifly, "Come on, Beautifly, eat up!"
Beautifly came down from May's head, looked at the jelly, and began to happily eat it.
Professor Birch gave May some advice. "May! If you're going to compete in Contests, you should start practicing as soon as possible!"
"Beautifly can use moves like Gust and Stun Spore..." Ash used his system to check the moves Beautifly had learned and told May.
"Gust?! Okay! Beautifly, use Gust!" When May heard that Beautifly had a new move, she immediately wanted to try it out.
Beautifly flew into the air, flapped its wings, and created a gust of wind, kicking up a cloud of dust.

May threw the disc, and Beautifly flapped its wings, using Gust, but it couldn't control the disc, and it fell.
May looked disappointed. "That's a shame. Beautifly, let's try again, Gust!"
And so, everyone watched May throw the disc over and over again. The time Beautifly could keep the disc aloft got longer and longer, until the Seedot finally made a sound, reminding them that they were supposed to be looking for a new home for them.
Ash and the others had no choice but to try tree after tree in the forest, but none of them seemed right.
"It looks like they don't like the trees in this forest!" Ash said helplessly.
Professor Birch suggested, "In that case, let's go check out a different forest."
Everyone nodded in agreement.
Later, Ash's group arrived at another forest. Brock pointed to the trees. "Professor Birch, what do you think of this place?"
"Let me try." With that, Professor Birch hung a Seedot on a branch of a tree, and the Seedot smiled, looking very happy.
"The Seedot seem to like it here!" Professor Birch nodded happily, then saw the other two Seedot happily rolling on the ground. "This is great! This place is perfect for rolling around too!"
Just then, Team Rocket appeared in front of them. "Since you asked... (Team Rocket's motto)"
Jessie pointed at Ash. "You little brat! I'm challenging you to a duel so my 'Silcoon' can finally evolve into a Beautifly!"
Professor Birch once again tried to correct her, saying, "Ma'am, that's a Cascoon!"
Jessie didn't listen. "Go, my Silcoon!"
May was about to send out her Beautifly, but Ash stopped her. "May, let me handle this!"
Ash knew that Jessie wouldn't give up until her Cascoon evolved, so he decided to personally help Jessie get her evolution.
"Huh?! Okay!" Waaah~ Goodbye, my first victory!
"I choose you, Croconaw!" "Wani~" Croconaw came out and did a little dance.
"Alright! Go, my 'Silcoon'! You're going to become a beautiful Beautifly!" Jessie sent out her Cascoon.
James and Meowth sighed but dutifully stood to the side to watch the battle.
"Croconaw, use Water Gun!" "Wani~" Croconaw shot a small stream of water from its mouth toward Cascoon.
"Hmph, 'Silcoon,' use Harden and then Tackle!"
Cascoon hardened, tanked the Water Gun, and charged toward Croconaw.
"Croconaw, Bite!"
Bang! Cascoon and Croconaw collided, and Cascoon was sent flying.
After who knows how many hits, Jessie finally activated her special buff. "Go, my 'Silcoon'! Use all your might for this Tackle!"
Cascoon tackled Croconaw with all its strength, and Croconaw was pushed back a few steps. Just then, Cascoon began to glow with a blue-white light of evolution.
"Is that..." "It's evolving!"
Jessie cheered. "This is great! My 'Silcoon' is finally going to evolve into a Beautifly!"

"A Dustox... I caught a Wurmple just like that little brat did, and it went through the same evolution process. Her Pokémon became a Beautifly, and mine became a Dustox," Jessie said mechanically.
"That's right, they both started out as the same Wurmple."
"But Jessie's didn't evolve into a Silcoon; it became a Cascoon, meow."

"This is my Dustox..." Jessie looked at Dustox, as if she was about to explode.
James and Meowth hugged each other in fear, already picturing Jessie's enraged face.
"Here it comes, the explosion is coming."

James and Meowth fell to the ground in shock.
"Look, isn't it? The jagged lines on its tail, its huge eyes that have to work hard to wink, and those huge antennae that look like American footballs! It's absolutely gorgeous! It's so much cuter than that little brat's Beautifly! Hahaha, it's just so cute and enchanting!" Jessie said happily.

On Ash's side, Croconaw gained enough experience to reach the peak of the Elite level. Ash decided to send both Croconaw and Quilava back to Professor Oak's lab to let them grow before using a Rare Candy to get them to the Gym Leader level.
That night, Professor Birch also said his goodbyes and returned to his lab.
