Chapter 144 - Chapter 144: The Turmoil of the God Realm

Chapter 144: The Turmoil of the God Realm

In the God Realm, in the Sea God Palace.

The golden light in the crystal coffin suddenly receded.

Tang San abruptly opened his eyes, a bitter sweetness surging in his throat. His fingers instinctively pressed against the crack in his chest—where the life force of the Blue Silver Emperor's light should have been flowing, but now it was riddled with cracks, spreading like a spiderweb.

"Big Brother, you're finally awake!"

Xiao Wu's voice came through, accompanied by the sound of her sobbing.

Her soft pink hair brushed against his hand, bringing with it a unique, gentle warmth.

Tang San lifted his head, meeting Xiao Wu's red-rimmed eyes, filled with worry.

Before she could say anything, Tang San suddenly sat up.

The divine power inside him was like scattered sand, difficult to gather. The strength he once had, enough to crush stars with ease, now barely made his fingers tremble.

His face changed drastically as he scanned his palm— the markings of the Blue Silver Emperor's martial soul had faded, dull and lifeless.

The inner strength of his Xuantian Skill was like a dried-up stream, flowing intermittently through his meridians.

"Such severe injuries..." Tang San muttered, bitterness filling his throat.

He clearly remembered that day, the battle with the mysterious woman. Her leaf, cutting through space, shattered both his Sea God Trident and Asura Sword, and dealt a heavy blow to his origin.

Now, as he scanned his body, what was once a brilliant sun-like origin had now become a weak golden light, flickering on the verge of extinction.

Xiao Wu reached out, wanting to touch his face, but paused mid-air.

She saw the flash of pain in Tang San's eyes, a pain deeper than physical injury—it was the torment of being a law enforcer of the God Realm, now reduced to a prisoner. How could the proud Tang San accept this?

"Xiao Wu!"

Tang San suddenly grabbed her hand, his voice deep, "What's happened to Douluo Continent now? And that woman..."

As he said the last part, his pupils constricted, a cold gleam flashing in his eyes.

The woman's strike that day not only shattered his divine body but also made him feel a long-lost fear. It was a power beyond the level of a God King, as if it came from the abyss beyond the universe.

Xiao Wu bit her lip, about to speak, when suddenly a heavy footstep echoed from outside the hall.

Four figures appeared from the light— the other four God Kings of the God Realm: Destruction, Life, Goodness, and Evil.

As the God of Destruction stepped forward, cracks spread like spiderwebs across the floor, and black mist began to seep out from the cracks.

Wherever he passed, destruction energy permeated the air.

His gaze swept over Tang San, and a cold smile appeared on his lips. "Tang San, you finally woke up."

Tang San's face darkened, and with great effort, he forced himself to stand.

Xiao Wu immediately supported his waist, feeling the chaotic divine power surging within him like a storm.

"The decision of the God Realm Council," said the God of Goodness, his voice as gentle as a spring breeze but carrying an undeniable authority.

"Tang San, because you arbitrarily opened a spatial passage and intervened in Douluo Continent, causing an unknown force to invade the God Realm, the following punishments are decided: first, you are stripped of your position as a law enforcer of the God Realm; second, starting today, you are responsible for repairing the spatial cracks and damaged areas of the God Realm; third, without the permission of the four of us, you are not allowed to leave the God Realm."

The air instantly froze.

Xiao Wu clenched her fists, her nails nearly digging into her palms. "This is unreasonable! Big Brother did this to protect the God Realm—"

"Enough."

Tang San raised his hand to stop her.

He stared at the four God Kings, his eyes sweeping across the mocking expressions in their gazes before finally falling on the crack in his chest and the injuries within him.

After a long silence, he said in a deep voice, "I accept the punishment."

The God of Destruction raised an eyebrow. "Oh? It's rare to see you so sensible."

Tang San suddenly looked up, his gaze like a sharp blade piercing toward him. "But I want to know what's happening with Douluo Continent now, and..." he paused, "my backup plan."

"Tang San!"

The God of Destruction took a step forward.

"You should worry about yourself. As for Douluo Continent..."

A cruel smile appeared on his lips, "You think the little tricks you left behind at the Haotian Sect can still hold?"

"Before, we turned a blind eye to your actions, but now that you've caused such great harm to the God Realm, if it happens again, don't blame us for being ruthless."

"Since you've become a God King, stop meddling in matters of the lower realm!"

Tang San's pupils shrank.

A sharp pain shot through his divine consciousness, as if someone had forcefully severed his connection to Douluo Continent.

He staggered back a step, and Xiao Wu hurriedly supported him. She saw his face turn as pale as paper.

"Big Brother!" Xiao Wu cried out.

"No need to guess," the God of Evil lazily interrupted, "We were just 'cleaning up' some unnecessary trouble for you. After all..."

He licked his lips, "Right now, you no longer have the qualifications to leave any backup on Douluo Continent."

Tang San closed his eyes, taking a deep breath.

When he opened his eyes again, his gaze had turned cold.

The four God Kings said no more.

The God of Destruction flicked his sleeve and turned around. Black mist gathered behind him into a portal. "Remember your punishment, Tang San. Reflect on it."

Before his words finished, the four of them vanished through the portal.

The hall fell into silence again, with only Xiao Wu's sobs and Tang San's heavy breathing filling the air.

"What did they... do?" Xiao Wu whispered, "Wutong, she... she'll be okay, right?"

"It's fine."

Tang San forced a smile, raising his hand to gently pat her head. "Niutian and Titan are at the Haotian Sect, they will protect Wutong."

But the worry in his eyes betrayed him—he knew, Douluo Continent was no longer the world he once knew.

The rise of the Starry Auction Pavilion, the appearance of the mysterious woman, and the attitudes of the four God Kings...

All of it made him feel an unsettling sense of foreboding.

Late at night, in the ruins of the God Realm.

Tang San sat alone before a spatial crack, staring blankly at the pitch-black tear in space.

Every time his divine power circulated, it felt like it was severing his meridians, but he gritted his teeth and persisted. The tender sprout of the Blue Silver Emperor emerged from his fingertips, futilely trying to mend the crack.

"Big Brother?"

Xiao Wu's voice came from behind, "Rest for now, your body..."

"Xiao Wu," Tang San suddenly spoke, his voice strangely calm, "What do you think, if one day the God Realm is no longer the God Realm as we knew it, what should we do?"

Xiao Wu froze.

She had never seen Tang San look so lost. The man who had always been confident and composed now looked like a lost child.

She walked forward, gently wrapping her arms around his waist, resting her head on his back. "No matter what happens, I will stay by your side, just like before."

Tang San closed his eyes, holding her hand.

In the distance, in the palace of the God of Destruction, the four figures appeared again.

"Will Tang San really accept this punishment willingly, or will he try something behind our backs?"

The God of Life frowned.

"Whether he accepts it or not, he can't escape this punishment!"

The God of Destruction sneered.

"Don't forget, he almost destroyed the God Realm. This is just us taking away his powers."

"What's there to fear?"

The God of Evil sneered, "He's already half broken. What kind of storm could he stir? Besides, once his injuries heal, the God Realm might have already undergone earth-shattering changes."

Time passed slowly, and soon, two months had gone by.

Today was also the day when the Starry Auction Pavilion would hold another auction. Since the Starry Vault had been opened earlier, the gold soul coins had been almost completely consumed.
