Lucky for Klahadore, his hand wasn't ruined.
Jack only used around 5% of his cosmic energy projection. But it still bleeding heavily, which is good because Klahadore treat will lower with this.
The longer Jack charged his energy, the greater the damage on his enemy.
Everyone was too stunned to speak, the next thing happen is Kaya get angry.
"How dare you attack my people!" shouted Kaya.
Usopp gulped, "They... I..."
"Usopp! How dare you drag strangers into my home!" Her voice trembled with anger.
Usopp shrank under the rebuke. "I... they said They're pirates! They want ship.... I protected the village....."
"You brought pirates into my house!" Kaya shot back, hands trembling.
A commotion in the garden drew the others, the old servant come in sawing the bleeding Klahadore and the angry Kaya.
After gasping for breath, Klahadore rebuke Jack. "What is this nonsense?" he asked smoothly, trying to deny him as a captain Kuro.
"I heard your parents died after here came here, right? Wasn't that around the same time you came to serve the family? If anything happens to Kaya, you are the one who stands to gain all of it. Convenient, isn't it?"
Silence cut the garden. Even the crickets seemed to hold their breath. The old butler mouth hung open. Usopp, who had been scolded earlier, stared as if someone had dragged his bravado into the night and stripped it of paint.
Kaya stare snapped to Klahadore. For the first time, the old warmth in her eyes curdled into suspicion. "You...are you saying..." Her voice cracked.
After Jack mentioned Kaya's parents, silence gripped the room. Kaya knuckles whitened on her cane, her eyes darting between Jack and Klahadore. The old butler froze, his normally calm face showing the first crack of suspicion.
"You… you dare throw suspicion on me?" Klahadore said, voice low.
Jack didn't answer with words. He raised his hand and let cosmic energy swirl, glowing faintly around his palm. The room trembled with its charge.
"This time I'm not holding back," Jack said coldly. "Twenty-five percent power."
He shifted his aim to the nearest wall and fired.
BOOOOM!
The wall exploded into dust and rubble, leaving a gaping hole. The force of the blast sent a gust of air through the room, scattering papers and blowing out a candle.
Kaya staggered back, shocked speechless. Usopp's jaw dropped. Even Zoro blinked in surprise at the raw destructive power. While luffy, he is in torn between awe and seriousness of the situation.
Klahadore eyes widened, for the first time, true fear flickered behind him.
Jack lowered his glowing hand, the air around him still humming with residual power. His expression was deadly calm.
"If you stay where you are and don't try anything stupid," Jack said, his voice like steel, "I won't have to use the next shot. But if you run or fight me…"
He raised his hand again, palm glowing hotter this time.
"…the next blast might blow you to dust instead of the wall."
For a moment, Klahadore didn't move. His mind raced... run and risk being shot, or fight and risk losing?
Then his face twisted into a snarl. "You insolent brat. I've had enough of this!"
In a flash, he lunged, drawing his curved claws and slashing toward Jack's throat.
But Jack didn't flinch.
He extended his other hand, channeling Sersi power. The claws in Klahadore's hand shimmered and then.. with a soft fwump, turned into a bundle of feathers that floated harmlessly to the ground.
Klahadore stared in disbelief at his empty hands.
Jack smirked. "Your weapon's a little soft. Care to try again?"
Zoro's hand tightened on his sword hilt, ready to step in, but Jack stayed calm, still aiming his cosmic-charged hand at Klahadore's chest.
"You're done lying," Jack said. "Drop the act, Captain Kuro. Or the next shot won't miss."
Klahadore's calm mask shattered. His back straightened, and the soft, servile butler was gone. replaced by the cold, predatory pirate he truly was.
"You'll regret this," he growled, stepping back.
"No," Jack said quietly. "You will."
