Chapter 22 - Chapter 21 Return Home

They made it back to Heaven after being gone for over a

Month, without any problems.

Micheal left the New Colony with two wagons and asked that

they continue to hunt and process meat for Heaven, that they would receive

payment in grain when they returned.

They had two wagons full of jerked and cured meat, twenty buffalo

calves and six pigs. They arrived at Heaven's door and took one wagon inside.

The other wagon they distributed to the people waiting anxiously. The livestock

placed in the new corrals.

 Michael, the next day,

went to the top of Heaven and looked at all the progress. Hundreds of acres had

been cleared and planted, their community around the Bunker was thriving, a lot

of gardens, and he could see Sandra tending to her new pets. New house, being

built, some of the more industrious had started using stone to build their

homes.

He had held a lot of the equipment in the basements back,

only releasing what he thought necessary for time being, especially guns and

ammo. Right now, they did not have a way to reproduce bullets, but he had his

soldiers collect and return the brass just in case they found a way.

In the months that followed he toured the Eden Colonies,

they are thriving as well, he thought about bringing them to Heaven but trusted

in GOD's plan for them. The only thing that gave him concern was the Vestige

groups, he knew that not all the rouge bunker personnel had been destroyed

during the battle, and they had for the most part moved far to the South, far

away from the range of his normal surveillance. In preparation for the

next conflict, he expanded his military training to all Heavens population,

including the use of archery.

It had been a year now since he and GOD had spoken. He

had reached out to GOD, several times while traveling west. They were in full

winter now but continued commerce with Mathew and Jhon's community had filled

their storage with meat and fish. In return they shipped corn and flour to

them.

He decided to fly to the highest mountain south before the

batteries in the Aircraft completely degraded. Sandra begged him to take her,

or at least a Squad of soldiers for protection, but he firmly denied her

request, his reason was that he could travel further and faster alone.
