Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Control Talent Brought by Consciousness Mutation

Chapter 2: Control Talent Brought by Consciousness Mutation

Humans, whether it's the soul or the body, are constantly radiating energy at every moment.

This is easy to understand. A living body is a source of heat, continuously emitting it outward.

It's a natural energy-loss process, common to nearly all living beings.

The heat dissipated in this way is essentially energy released by cells during life processes.

That energy is exactly what's needed for chakra refinement—physical energy.

The same goes for the soul. As long as it hasn't been extinguished and there's still consciousness, any fluctuation of thought or emotion will naturally release mental energy.

Chakra is the result of combining these two constantly leaking energies—physical and mental—in a one-to-one ratio.

At first glance, it might seem like refining chakra in this way isn't slow.

But actually, it's very difficult.

So where's the difficulty?

It lies in the word "control."

In truth, almost no one can perfectly control their physical and mental energy.

Even geniuses like Minato, or those born from long-standing clans like the Senju and Uchiha, cannot precisely manipulate both types of energy.

So if one can't control them precisely, how does anyone manage to fuse physical and mental energy to produce chakra?

The answer is "guidance."

While precise control is impossible, one can guide these energies using conscious intent.

People with ninja aptitude can guide their physical and mental energy to collide and merge.

During this merging, a portion just happens to combine in a perfect 1:1 ratio and becomes chakra.

The chakra refining process is essentially the act of guiding this fusion.

It's more about guidance than strict control.

Since it's guidance, there's naturally a question of efficiency.

Imagine guiding two drops of black and white ink to merge.

You can't get them to mix into perfect gray in a single instant.

Only part of the mixture turns out right—the rest leans more black or more white.

It's the same with guiding physical and mental energy.

You can't instantly get all of it to fuse in perfect 1:1 ratio to form chakra.

Much of the energy will fail to fuse and simply dissipate.

In theory, if you had unlimited time and kept guiding the energies to merge repeatedly, most of it could eventually become chakra.

Just like stirring the black and white ink multiple times to finally get a uniform gray.

If you could repeatedly guide physical and mental energy, you could refine more chakra that way.

Unfortunately, physical and mental energy are not like ink—they don't stick around long.

Inside a ninja's body, they dissipate quickly, typically lasting less than a tenth of a second.

It's like a waterfall—no single drop stays in one place for more than a second.

The same holds true for these energies.

Even though the body continuously produces them in large amounts, they vanish just as fast.

That's why precise control is nearly impossible, and most people can only manage partial guidance.

So the vast majority of ninjas can't utilize every bit of energy their body and mind naturally produce.

From the remnants of Kimura Yō's memories, Li Yao could roughly estimate:

Kimura Yō's energy utilization rate was only about one percent.

In other words, for every hundred units of energy he tried to guide, only one became chakra.

Without comparison, Li Yao wouldn't even know how bad that really was.

But based on instinct, he figured Minato's talent probably allowed him to utilize at least twenty percent of his energy.

He couldn't be sure though, since he couldn't perceive Minato's chakra refining directly.

Still, even a genius like Minato could never achieve 100% energy usage.

But now Li Yao could.

Because he could precisely control every bit of energy his body and mind released, preventing it from dissipating.

He didn't know if it was due to his transmigration…

But it seemed that his consciousness had mutated—no longer just a vague concept, but something tangible and material in the real world.

His consciousness wasn't just "awareness" anymore. It felt like another self—come to life.

And this awakened consciousness had merged naturally with his body, allowing him to achieve the legendary state of unity between body and mind.

His perception of the body had reached an incredible microscopic level—he didn't just feel his cells; he could see them.

The sensation was intoxicating—it felt like becoming a god.

But it wasn't just ultra-fine perception.

This awakened consciousness also granted another ability:

The power to control the energy he perceived, as if through telekinesis.

From the moment he began refining chakra—

Every bit of energy his cells released, every single moment, was detected and controlled, prevented from escaping.

And the same went for the mental energy his soul emitted.

Each unit of mental energy was precisely sensed and fully controlled by his consciousness.

This precise control led to 100% efficiency in converting physical and mental energy into chakra.

"So satisfying!!!"

Feeling the steady stream of chakra being refined inside him, Li Yao was overwhelmed with excitement.

Compared to the old Kimura Yō's slow, drip-like chakra formation…

Li Yao's chakra now poured out like water from a burst pipe. The difference was astronomical.

Every moment, the escaping physical and mental energy was caught and perfectly fused in a 1:1 ratio—without wasting a drop.

If someone were to touch Li Yao's body right now, they'd find it ice-cold.

That's because almost all the energy his body emitted was being used to refine chakra—leaving his physical temperature lower than usual.

Right now, Li Yao was like a popsicle in summer—chillingly cold.

Minato, sitting next to him, felt it clearly—it was like sitting next to an air conditioner.

"What a fast chakra refining speed!!!"

Minato was stunned. Li Yao's chakra output was absurdly fast—and abundant.

Inside Li Yao, the chakra surged and grew rapidly.

Most of it flowed through his chakra pathways to be stored in the dantian, while some remained in his chakra nodes, and a portion scattered throughout his body's cells.

Li Yao could feel that the chakra entering his cells was being absorbed.

And as the cells absorbed chakra, they became more powerful and full of vitality.

The more energized cells, in turn, enhanced the spirit—making it more stable and active.

This improvement was subtle—most people wouldn't notice.

But over time, it would significantly widen the gap between an ordinary person and a ninja.

Now Li Yao finally understood why child ninjas in Naruto were so ridiculously strong.

The difference between having chakra and not having it was enormous.

For geniuses, age didn't matter.

With enough chakra, their physical strength could rival—or surpass—older ninjas.

"So… can I direct even more chakra into the cells?"

Li Yao suddenly had the idea. Since he had absolute control over his chakra, he could easily direct it into his cells.

"Let's try."

He gradually increased the amount of chakra going into his cells, careful not to overdo it and risk damaging them.

"Hmm… doesn't seem to work."

After a while, Li Yao frowned. The amount and speed at which cells absorbed chakra seemed fixed. Even increasing the input didn't result in more absorption.

So his plan to enhance his body by speeding up chakra absorption had failed.

Still, it wasn't a big deal.

With his 100% chakra refining efficiency, his total chakra would rise quickly.

Soon, he could maintain a continuous supply of chakra to all his cells.

Other people couldn't do that—only Li Yao, thanks to his consciousness mutation and absolute chakra control.

This would allow his physical improvement to happen quickly—far faster than in the past.

As he thought, a stinging sensation started in his cells. Li Yao withdrew the extra chakra, redirecting it back to his dantian.

There was another benefit to absolute chakra control:

He could prevent unused chakra from dissipating.

Like physical and mental energy, chakra too gradually leaks out, though at a slower rate.

It's just like body heat—while the temperature (chakra amount) stays stable, it still constantly radiates.

A portion of the leaked chakra gets absorbed by the body's cells, but most simply disappears into the environment.

But with full control, Li Yao could prevent this.

He could redirect the escaping chakra back into storage in his dantian.

So while others leaked chakra, he conserved it.

Over time, this would significantly increase his total chakra.

In the original story, Tsunade's Yin Seal worked similarly—collecting and sealing chakra over time, then releasing it as needed for a massive boost.

If Li Yao learned the Yin Seal, he'd be able to store far more chakra than Tsunade.

Because Tsunade couldn't collect chakra at 100% efficiency—but he could.

"Looks like I need to find a way to become Tsunade's student!"

The Yin Seal, a forbidden jutsu for storing large amounts of chakra, was rare and precious. In the original, only Sakura managed to learn it by becoming Tsunade's disciple.

For Li Yao to learn it, becoming her student was the only path.

But that wouldn't be easy—

Especially since he was a boy.
