Chapter 93 - Chapter 94: Chakra Nature Transformation Fluctuations

Chapter 94: Chakra Nature Transformation Fluctuations

Snake Island.

Under the setting sun.

Atop the mountain's observation deck, Li Yao lay on a lounge chair with his eyes closed. He seemed relaxed, but his consciousness was fully focused on researching the storage-space chakra within his acupoint dimension.

Chakra truly was a miraculous energy.

It could become fire.

It could become water.

It could become earth.

And now, it could even transform into a black liquid possessing flowing spatial properties.

Chakra was like a universal energy source. It could become anything—substance, illusion, even conceptual elements.

If chakra could become something as intangible as space, it truly defied logic.

Following this idea, Li Yao aimed to delve deeper into how storage-space chakra transformed into a black fluid with spatial flow—to identify the spatial property at the root of its transformation.

If he could convert chakra into space chakra—essentially materializing "space" as an energy form—then maybe he could cast space-style jutsu the same way he used Fire Release chakra for fire techniques.

For example:

Spatial teleportation.

Spatial barriers.

Dimensional slicing.

And so on.

Eventually, perhaps even interstellar travel by manipulating space with chakra.

That wasn't entirely impossible.

The Ōtsutsuki clan's space travel certainly wasn't through simple flight. They had to possess high-level spatial movement abilities.

Li Yao didn't need all that. He just wanted teleportation.

Right now, he was trying to identify the specific property within storage-space chakra that resonated with space itself.

Chakra's nature transformations behaved like waveforms—spatial, radiating out from a central point in three dimensions.

Over the past two days, Li Yao had studied the fluctuations of Fire and Water chakra nature changes.

He discovered that Water chakra resonated naturally with environmental water, creating a kind of energy harmonization.

The result? When using Water Release near the ocean, some sea water would be pulled into his jutsu, boosting its power.

The same applied to Fire chakra—it could harmonize with naturally burning fire.

If he infused his Fire chakra into existing flames, he could control them as his own.

Li Yao suspected other chakra types worked similarly.

Take Lightning Release, for example.

Sasuke's Lightning Release: Kirin technique used this same concept—resonating his chakra with a natural thunderstorm to create a massive, one-shot lightning attack.

From this, Li Yao formed a theory.

Storage-space chakra's transformation must include a specific fluctuation that could resonate with spatial elements.

His goal now was to find that resonance within the storage-space chakra's transformation pattern.

Once found, it could be the foundation to develop and condense true space-nature chakra.

But clearly, that was easier said than done.

It had been five days since he arrived on the island.

The first two days were spent attempting to fuse acupoint chakra, Adamantine Sealing chakra, and storage-space chakra.

Only on the third morning had it occurred to him to focus on the fundamental nature transformations and resonance—shifting the direction of his research.

Now, three days later, despite his powerful chakra-sensing ability, Li Yao was still completely lost when it came to isolating any spatial-resonant fluctuation.

"Sigh… another research project that needs time."

He couldn't help but groan inwardly. Creating jutsu really wasn't easy.

Meanwhile—

On the shallow waters surrounding the island, a clone of Li Yao stood atop the Black Iron Giant Eagle, arms outstretched. From each palm, a Black Iron Chain extended down into the sea below.

From above, under the golden sunset, a naked Li Yao could be seen running underwater.

The clone on the eagle had released the chains into the sea to guard the original, in case anything went wrong during the underwater run.

Submerged, Li Yao's body was coated in neutral chakra, with more focused under his feet to allow him to run on the soft seabed.

Of course, he couldn't run fast—just faster than walking.

But it required ten times the physical effort and muscle engagement compared to land running.

Underwater running was a powerful physical training method.

Only someone like Li Yao—whose body had been conditioned by immersion in nutrient solution—could hold his breath for an hour and sustain this type of training.

Splash!

After circling the island twice, Li Yao launched himself out of the water and landed on the white sandy beach just as the sun touched the horizon.

Huff… huff…

He took deep breaths, refilling his oxygen and relaxing his body.

Chirp chirp!

Squawk squawk!

There were plenty of birds on the beach—which meant plenty of bird droppings.

Li Yao stepped carefully to avoid them.

As he walked inland, swinging his arms and feeling his strength, a smile grew on his face.

With all his chakra pathways destroyed except for the Death Gate acupoint, it felt like his physical limiter had been removed.

Five days ago, after realizing his taijutsu—especially his movement speed—was poor, he started sprinting drills.

He then used Wind Release chakra to cut large blocks of stone, ranging from 50 kg to over 1 ton.

After running, he squatted and jumped while lifting the stones to forge his body.

Unexpectedly, after just one day of training, he felt his physical strength improve.

Most notably, his cells generated more explosive physical energy in a single moment.

That meant his body was getting stronger.

And that was just day one.

In the days that followed, the trend continued—he could feel his body getting stronger, faster, more energized each day.

Clearly, Li Yao's body could grow stronger through training—and the growth rate was significant, as if the limiter had truly been removed.

It could also be his young age contributing.

Either way, he didn't mind. His transformation wasn't just about strength.

The nourishment from Wood Release chakra was reshaping his physical body in ways he hadn't anticipated.

It seemed his training had triggered a cellular desire to grow stronger, prompting the Wood chakra to guide his cells toward a state compatible with Hashirama-style cells.

Currently, his body was incompatible with Wood chakra.

Only those with Hashirama's powerful Sage-like body could fully utilize such chakra quality.

Until now, Li Yao had always regretted that, despite having Wood Release, he didn't have the powerful body to match.

But now—he had hope.

As long as he kept training, he would one day evolve into a Sage Body like Hashirama, with chakra reserves to rival a Tailed Beast.

And when that day came… heh.

Unless the Sage of Six Paths returned, Konoha would be helpless against him.

Back at the observation deck, Li Yao recalled his clone.

Now, the original focused on physical training. One clone continued researching storage-space chakra fluctuation. The third clone—undecided. He'd see what came up.

Li Yao sat down at the table. A blob of black liquid flowed from his body, splashing onto the table and dissolving to reveal a lotus-wrapped roast chicken—still hot.

It seemed time was suspended inside the storage-space chakra's black fluid. Items stored inside retained their original state.

"This might actually involve the power of time…"

That thought struck him—and his gaze toward storage-space chakra grew even more fervent.
