Chapter 91 - Chapter 91: Storage-Space Chakra

Chapter 91: Storage-Space Chakra

Injecting chakra, Li Yao unlocked the sealing scroll.

In an instant, the black inscription lines on the scroll lit up, forming a surge of storage-seal-type ninjutsu chakra.

Li Yao placed his hand over the "封" (seal) character and began sensing the transformation of the chakra within.

Poof!

The smoke cleared, revealing a roast chicken. Li Yao frowned slightly—the transformation of ninjutsu chakra in the storage scroll was far more complex than that of the explosive tag.

He couldn't fully understand it on the first try.

He had to open and close the scroll four more times before he could clearly perceive the transformation involved in the chakra after activation.

Li Yao raised his hand and focused.

A black, ink-like liquid flowed in his palm. With a bit of control, the ink-black liquid formed into a perfect sphere.

"Did it work?"

Li Yao narrowed his eyes. The black liquid was the materialized form of the activated storage-seal chakra from the scroll.

It was similar to how Water Release chakra materializes into water—a liquid form of a jutsu element.

He directed the black liquid to fly from his palm and land on a nearby rock.

Splat!

The liquid hit the rock and immediately sank, spreading into a one-meter-wide semicircular crater, as if the ground had been instantly devoured.

"Hm… what's this?"

Li Yao's face lit up in surprise. With a gesture, the black liquid flew back into his palm.

"That's it—it's in there!"

Li Yao could sense it clearly. The missing chunk of rock was now suspended inside the black liquid in his hand.

It felt as if the black liquid contained a flowing, water-like internal space—the rock fragment floated within this hidden dimension.

With a thought, Li Yao flung the liquid two meters ahead onto the wooden floor, then called it back again.

The semicircular stone reappeared, rising from the black pool like a hidden gate had opened.

The whole scene resembled the Dark-Dark Fruit's absorption and release of objects in One Piece.

Even the fluid's appearance mimicked the fruit's signature black smoke.

"Spatial ability!"

"This is real space-based chakra!"

Li Yao's eyes burned with excitement.

He hadn't expected such a profound principle behind something as basic as a storage scroll—turns out it used spatial ninjutsu.

Everyone knew how powerful space-based ninjutsu was.

Every space technique was a game-breaking power:

Flying Thunder God for instantaneous teleportation.

Kamui for invincible phasing defense and devastating pinpoint attacks.

Especially the spatial distortion attack—strong enough to rip apart even a Truth-Seeking Ball's barrier with ease.

Rasengan?

Tailed Beast Bomb?

All meaningless in the face of Obito's Kamui warp attack.

That's how insane space ninjutsu was.

And now Li Yao had just—

Wait.

His excitement stalled.

Did the black liquid have offensive power?

If it could only absorb and store non-chakra objects, and couldn't affect enemy ninjutsu or shinobi themselves, then its practical combat use was limited.

Boom!

No more speculation—he created a shadow clone and used two Black Iron Chains to lift it 50 meters above his house.

"Go."

Li Yao launched the black liquid at the clone.

"Fire Release…" the clone started.

Then paused—Li Yao didn't really know standard Fire Release techniques. He simply condensed Fire-nature chakra and shaped it into flame manually, relying entirely on his precise chakra control.

The clone extended its right hand, firing a fireball directly.

Very few people could cast a Fireball instantly from the hand like this.

Normally, in the Naruto world, people used their mouths to launch ninjutsu—not for aesthetics or convenience, but because the mouth was the fastest and most efficient chakra release point.

Other body parts were slower, chakra-constrained, and required highly refined control.

One mistake, and the backlash could injure or even tear the user's own body.

That's why most ninjas used their mouths.

Li Yao, however, could casually generate flame from his hand—because he had lost all his chakra points except for the one in the Death Gate. His chakra flow had no bottlenecks.

And with his absolute control, there was no fear of harming his own body.

Hence, his clone could coolly extend a palm and fire a blazing Fireball with ease.

Boom!

The black liquid and the Fireball collided mid-air and exploded.

There was no absorption. The black liquid scattered into droplets and vanished.

"Damn."

Li Yao sighed, visibly disappointed.

He had hoped for a powerful offensive space jutsu—but the black liquid only absorbed objects without chakra.

When faced with chakra-infused ninjutsu, its internal spatial structure collapsed due to interference, and it lost its form.

"The storage-space chakra is just too fragile."

Li Yao casually coined a new name for the scroll-based chakra: "Storage-Space Chakra." It was apt.

He had originally hoped to name it "Dark-Dark Chakra," expecting it to mimic the powers of the Dark-Dark Fruit from One Piece.

Sadly, that fantasy had crumbled.

"Why is it unstable?"

Li Yao was unwilling to give up. He pondered the cause.

Then he formed another ball of the black liquid to examine its internal space again.

"The space is unstable… what if I use Acupoint Chakra to stabilize it?"

That thought struck him.

Acupoint Chakra inherently had a binding property—it could anchor and stabilize chakra within internal compartments.

If he fused Acupoint Chakra into the black liquid, maybe it could stabilize the internal space and prevent external interference from collapsing it.

If so—maybe it could even absorb enemy jutsu. Or enemies themselves. Everything.

And if that wasn't enough, what if he infused it with Adamantine Sealing Chakra too? That might turn it into a true devouring space chakra!

The more he thought, the more excited he became.

Immediately, he began experimenting—trying to fuse Storage-Space Chakra, Acupoint Chakra, and Adamantine Sealing Chakra.

He aimed to repeat what he had done with the Black Iron Chains: merge multiple types of chakra and create a new one combining all their strengths—a chakra with true devouring power.

Of course, it would be difficult.

When he first fused Acupoint Chakra with Eight Trigram Sealing Chakra to develop the Black Iron Chakra, it had taken nearly a year to achieve something stronger than both combined.

This time, fusing three types at once was exponentially harder—especially with one of them being Adamantine Sealing Chakra.

Three hours later, Li Yao's excitement had cooled.

This wasn't like copying someone else's ninjutsu chakra.

It was like developing a Kekkei Tōta-level technique—possibly harder.

It wasn't something he could finish in a short time. It would take prolonged research and refinement.
