Julien was making his way out of the terrace area, when Gabriel spotted him.
"The queen wants you," he said as a way to stop him.
Julien moved his head behind to see Gabriel drawing closer to him.
"I'm busy right now, Gabe," he said, and tried to keep moving.
"She wants you now, Julien!" He emphasized a second time.
Knowing there was no point arguing further, Julien relented.
"Fine, take me to her."
But instead of a private room where he perhaps could have had a conversation with his mother, he found himself back in the event room.
The queen spotted him, and discreetly nudged her head for him to come over.
He went to her, and in a split second, he was thrust on stage to anchor the next category for the fundraiser.
Julien's mind was divided all through. The entire time, he could only think of Valentina.
All of the precious time he was wasting could have been used in finding her.
"Mr with the Ten million donation. Going once, going twice– sold!"
