Luciano opened the door into Daniela's room, and walked in to find her laying on her bed with her back turned to him.
He drew closer to the bed, and sat at the edge.
"Hey." He touched her.
Daniela slowly turned to his side. "Heyyy, you're back," she said weakly.
"I am. I know I was supposed to come sooner, but I had to do something important. Anyway, how are you feeling?" He touched her forehead with his palm.
"I'm not as sweaty," she joked, and laughed with a struggle.
"Hey, don't overwork yourself. Has Valeria been around to check you?"
"Yeah she ran a few tests. She said she'll return with the results tomorrow."
Luciano exhaled loudly. Daniela was sick, really sick.
It worried him that there wasn't much he could do about it.
He offered to fly her out of the country, to see the best doctors in the world. But doctor Valeria insisted that her body was too weak at the moment to sit through a plane ride.
