Chapter 45 - CHAPTER 45TAEKOOK

The night finished late. Everyone left the studio in pairs or alone, tired but calm. The hall lights were dim, humming quietly. Taehyung and Jungkook walked side by side, not talking yet. The tension between them felt warm, steady, familiar.

They stepped out the back exit. The air outside was cool. No paparazzi. No staff. No noise from fans. Just the two of them under the streetlamp.

Jungkook stopped first. "You looked tired today."

Taehyung shrugged. "You kept watching me."

Jungkook stepped closer. "Because you were somewhere else in your head."

Taehyung turned to face him. "You noticed."

"I always notice."

Jungkook's voice dropped a little. The closeness filled the space in a slow, careful way. Taehyung reached out and tugged lightly on the sleeve of Jungkook's hoodie. He didn't pull him in. He only held it.

Jungkook's breath hitched.

"Why are you looking at me like that," Taehyung asked.

"Because I want you close," Jungkook said.

Taehyung moved in. One step. Then another. Their shoes touched. Jungkook lifted his chin slightly. His hand slid up to Taehyung's waist. Taehyung's fingers brushed Jungkook's cheek before resting behind his neck.

The world shrank to two breaths.

Taehyung whispered, "Tell me to stop."

Jungkook didn't answer. He leaned in.

Their lips met slow first, then firmer. Jungkook kissed him with a kind of relief, like he had been waiting all day. Taehyung matched him, steady and sure. Jungkook's hand gripped his waist harder. Taehyung tilted his head and deepened the kiss. Heat rose quickly between them, but it stayed soft, controlled.

Jungkook broke the kiss only for a second, forehead pressed to Taehyung's. "Again."

Taehyung dragged him close and kissed him deeper. Jungkook let out a low sound that Taehyung felt more than heard. Their bodies pressed together. Jungkook's fingers ran through Taehyung's hair. Taehyung's palm slid down Jungkook's back, stopping at his hip.

The kiss lingered long and slow, building heat without rushing anywhere.

Jungkook whispered against his mouth, "I missed this."

Taehyung kissed the corner of his lips. "You have me."

They stayed intertwined for a moment under the streetlamp, breathing each other in. No fear. No hiding. Only warmth spreading through both of them.

Jungkook rested his head against Taehyung's chest. "We should go back."

Taehyung held him a little longer. "In a minute."

Their night kept unfolding quietly, and the kiss stayed between them like a secret spark that refused to fade.
