Chapter 4 - Ruler of the Northern Continent

In the grassy fields near the twin mountains, Kai and Ruby walked deeper into the forest, heading toward a clearing surrounded by trees—the very spot where their spaceship had crashed, not far from Kai's home, on this quiet night.

Kai asked again, a hint of curiosity on his face.

"Power… it's real, isn't it?"

Ruby stopped walking and looked at him seriously.

"Yes. The power of every living being comes from their actions. Those actions create power that can surpass any other life form. I'll give you an example. Someone who loves planting trees… those trees will help them, allowing them to control the forest. It's a kind of reward for what they've done, Meow."

"I see," Kai said with a serious expression. "So… if I do only good, everything will help me. And if I do bad… everything will abandon me?"

"Exactly, Meow. If you do wrong, those things will turn away from you—they won't grant you power." Ruby continued walking through the forest, leading Kai to the foot of one of the mountains.

"We're here, Meow. Meow… this is our spaceship. Mas should be back by now. I'll handle the talking; you stay here for the moment, Meow." Ruby said, walking toward the ship about thirty meters away from Kai.

"Mas…" Ruby called, then paused.

"What is it, Ruby? I'm busy… and weren't you supposed to be guarding the ship?" Mas replied sharply, his back turned, holding a wrench and other repair tools as he worked on the spacecraft.

"I was just taking a walk… then I ran into someone unusual. I thought I'd bring him along as a traveling companion, Meow." Ruby explained, her tone calm but serious.

Mas continued repairing the ship, glancing briefly.

"Interesting, huh?"

Ruby nodded, kneeling in her cat form.

"Yes. There's something about him… he's very interesting, Meow."

Mas finished the repairs just as Ruby spoke.

"We'll resume our journey soon… Ruby, go get him. If he wants to come, that's fine. But… our journey is dangerous. Have you told him yet?"

Ruby shook her head.

"No… not yet, Meow." She walked back to Kai, who was still standing there.

Mas stood silently, scratching his head lightly.

"Sigh… that's so like you, Ruby."

"Come on, Kai. We're leaving. Are you ready?" Ruby asked.

Kai followed Ruby to the ship and approached Mas.

"Hello, Mr. Mas, right? I've already heard about you from that cat. Wow… this is a spaceship? Incredible! I've never seen one before."

He thought to himself, So this must be Mas from Titan… he looks about 190 centimeters tall, I guess.

With a soft voice and hopeful expression, he added,

"Space… I wonder what it's like."

"Welcome aboard, traveling companion. I'm Mas, and you already know the cat's name is Ruby, right? Be warned… space is dangerous." Mas turned to Kai with a serious expression.

Kai, however, looked confident.

"I'm ready. No matter the danger, I want to see what lies beyond human imagination. I'm going."

Mas turned, opening the ship's door, preparing to board.

"Come on. I'll take you out there."

Ruby in her cat form and Kai climbed aboard. Mas took the driver's seat.

"Let's go, kiddo."

The spaceship slowly lifted off from the grassy field, surrounded by forest, ascending into the night sky.

Kai sat beside the window, eyes wide with wonder.

"Wow… we're flying… this is amazing!" He couldn't hide his excitement as he watched the landscape through the glass.

"Pretty amazing, isn't it, Meow?" Ruby said softly, watching Kai with an affectionate gaze.

Meanwhile, across the vast multiverse…

A planet was destroyed in a single stroke, split in two and exploding violently. Floating above the void was a small, delicate girl with short blonde hair, wearing a white dress. Her eyes sparkled, and golden rings of light circled her arms and legs. Her face remained calm, as if witnessing this destruction was ordinary…
