Chapter 5 Part 4: Double Crosses and Escapes
"Hey Tianming, this time you fucked my woman how should we settle this account?"

Rushing through the night to infiltrate the Confucian school, he unexpectedly encountered Wushuang fighting Bai Feng.

After twists and turns, Daozhi finally infiltrated the tower, facing numerous mechanisms. He calmly took out Master Ban's tools.

"Leave the disk." Daozhi naturally wouldn't let him leave. They used all their skills, the commotion alerting the guards.
"Activate mechanisms, quickly!" soldiers shouted outside.
Seeing the tower sealing layer by layer, making them sitting ducks: "You really want mutual destruction?"
Bai Feng threw the disk; Daozhi, knowing it was a trap, had to catch it, giving Bai Feng a chance to kick him down.
"Brother Daozhi, see what this is?" Looking up, Daozhi saw another disk. He suddenly looked at the original pedestal his fake replacement was gone.
Bai Feng laughed loudly, escaping the tower, leaving Daozhi locked inside.
He shot skyward with a long whistle, simultaneously throwing two hidden weapons, landing on them for leverage to stay airborne.
A bird cry sounded distantly Bai Feng's trained white bird came like lightning. Bai Feng leaped onto it, letting it carry him away.
When Bai Feng escaped the tower, Meng Tian shouted in alarm. Not knowing both Bai Feng and Daozhi had entered, thinking it was just Daozhi stealing the disk, he quickly ordered the ambush.
But the plan was originally for Daozhi suddenly switching to Bai Feng made it ineffective, allowing easy escape.
Then laughter echoed from the tower: "Thanks for Brother Bai Feng's help." Daozhi appeared at the tower top, spinning the disk.
Having escaped, Bai Feng felt uneasy hearing Daozhi's words. Checking his disk, it was indeed the fake.
There was even a message: Want Chi Lian? Trade with Miss Duanmu. Bai Feng angrily crushed the disk and threw it away.
It turned out the Mohists, skilled in mechanisms, had Daozhi secretly break one mechanism for escape, so he wasn't trapped.
When they fought over the disk, Daozhi had already switched it twice, hiding the real one and keeping only a fake to divert attention unexpectedly useful against Bai Feng.
Meng Tian's setup was exposed early, useless for ambushing Daozhi again. The many pursuers were easily shaken off.
The distant Ge Nie, Xiao Gao providing support and the ambushing Xinghun and Shao Siming all retreated seeing the situation.
But then Bai Feng saw a cloaked black figure looking up at him. "Lord Wei Zhuang," he immediately recognized.
But since Wei Zhuang didn't want to show himself, he naturally wouldn't presumptuously join him, riding the white bird out of Sanghai.
