Chapter 35 - Transmigration

The goblin staggered forward from its own momentum. I stepped left, my sword flashing low. The edge cut deep into its thigh.

It screamed, dropping to one knee, blood pouring from the wound. I didn't let it recover. I raised my sword and struck clean through its neck.

The head flew. The body fell with a dull *thump*.

I exhaled, the sound of its death fading into the corridor. My grip tightened, and I pushed on deeper.

Two shadows moved ahead.

Two goblins stepped into the light, both snarling, both armed. One had a dagger, the other a chipped axe. They barked to one another in their foul tongue before rushing me at once.

The dagger goblin struck first. Its arm shot forward, the blade aimed directly at my gut. If that attack landed, I would be skewered. But my sword moved faster. *Clang!* My edge met its, deflecting the strike wide. I shoved its weapon aside, opening its chest.

My sword snapped forward like lightning. Steel punched through its ribs.
