THE CODEX
EPISODE 14 — Reflections of the Same Fate
> Before leaving, he whispered to the boy:
"You are Elias. Always remember your name. It's what saves us, sometimes."
And he left the house, in the rain,
leaving behind a defeated demon
and a child... freed.
Benjamin walked away in the cold rain, each drop washing away some of the heaviness weighing on his soul. The blade was put away, for now. But the Codex lying beside the boy had changed. A blank page replaced the black one. A silence filled with expectation hung in the air.
Thousands of kilometers away, in a bare, white room, Leander opened his eyes. His skin, paler than ever, seemed to vibrate with an ancient energy. The Codex lay before him, its cover now marked with the name "Ath-Emen-Raël."
A breath crossed the room—neither wind nor life, but the breath of a half-awakened secret.
Leander tried to stand, but his limbs barely responded. Each effort seemed to bring back forgotten memories, old voices, lives he had passed through without knowing it. He knew now that this Codex was not just a book, but a prison, a master, a curse.
He murmured quietly, as if to ward off the inevitable:
"I remember... And I am no longer alone."
Over there, Benjamin, unaware of what was happening on the other side of the world, nevertheless felt, deep in his mind, a resonance. As if their destinies, linked by the Codex, were constantly intertwining, for better or for worse.
