Chapter 24: Why does this scene feel familiar?

"The Chosen One, I still don't understand why you want to go to this place? Won't that disrupt your plans?" Xiong Jun asked, looking at the gates of East Sea Academy.

Of course, he knew all about Elysium's plans and its vision of advancing this world and taking it into space, into a domain beyond the boundaries of this planet. Elysium even explained everything to him about what his plan in this world, well, just a simplified version.

Apparently, he was too dumb to understand everything Elysium wanted to do and didn't really understand. So, the chosen one simply told him to always stay by his side.

"Well, there's a lot I need to check. I want to see how the education system and knowledge are accessible to humans in this world, and I also want to see if there are any improvements in my plans for the future."

"I understand, The Chosen One." Xiong Jun nodded, not understanding what the chosen one meant. What did these snotty kids have to do with the chosen one's grand vision?

Wouldn't it be easier to just create their own organization and mass-produce so-called robots? Wouldn't it be easier to spread the chosen one's knowledge and plans throughout the world and force them to follow.

Oh, you're rebellious and don't want to bring change? Then you don't need to live on this planet anymore.

Kill, kill, and kill. Just kill anyone who gets in the way and the problem will be solved.

"You know, this is why I don't want you to move alone. So, just stay with me right now and learn everything you can in this academy. When you have at least some knowledge, you can join me in future decision-making." Elysium patted Xiong Jun on the back.

As an egalitarian scientist, he advocates a democratic approach to decision-making. Oh, he's not human? No problem. We're not xenophobes who hold a narrow view and consider the human race superior to other races.

If you have talent and are useful, then congratulations on your promotion.

Xiong Jun merely scratched his head but nodded. He just went with the flow and agreed with whatever the chosen one decided going forward.

The two entered Eastsea Academy through the main gate and walked leisurely. Elysium wore his usual lab coat, embroidered with the nine-star scientist emblem from the federation.

Xiong Jun walked beside him like a bodyguard, looking fierce with a stern expression. His muscular build, combined with the federation's military uniform, gave the impression of a war veteran who had experienced much.

Elysium frowned as he watched his future classmates run around the field like primitives. The Soul Master World has technology like inscription arrays; can't they just make something like a gravity room or a simulated indoor room?

"The Chosen One, look at that human. Why are they running with armor on their bodies?"

"I don't know. Maybe they're just poor? Or maybe the academy doesn't allow intermediate academies to use more advanced facilities." Elysium simply shrugged.

He approached the only male teacher, who had a look that said, "I'm cool and handsome. Don't approach me, but don't stop complimenting me." Elysium didn't know if this male teacher fit the standards of handsomeness in this world, given that he had such long, woman-like hair.

Is there no barber in this world? This is the fucking modern world you live in. Not some ancient civilization where the barber profession was exclusive to the royal family.

"Hello, you must be the teacher, right? I'm a student who was supposed to report for attendance two weeks ago, but I was late for more than two weeks for some reason, but I'm here to attend school."

Wu Changkong felt familiar with this scene and looked at the girl running beside Tang Wulin and Xie Xie. "You also come here to Eastsea Academy?"

"Well, yes. Here's my recommendation letter." Elysium handed him the recommendation letter.

Wu Changkong could sense Elysium, who was level 19 with one soul ring. Two levels higher than the new recruit Gu Yue. But he felt so weak, and his clothes resembled those of a researcher in a spirit pagoda.

"Is there a problem, teacher?"

"No, but I must remind you, this is a soul master academy. If you want to attend here, you must have the ability," Wu Changkong said coldly.

Elysium didn't immediately answer and looked at Wu Changkong. "Are external things allowed in this fight?"

Wu Changkong raised his eyebrows at Elysium's words. He seemed to know what was coming next, so he asked that question. "If you have the ability, then give it your all."

"Okay then. Consider it done." Elysium smiled and took out his glasses.

Wu Changkong asked. "What's your name?"

Elysium answered. "Elysium."

Wu Changkong looked at the trio running together like long-time friends. His gaze fell on Gu Yue, another student who had arrived late to the academy. "Gu Yue, come here and give your metal armor to Tang Wulin and Xie Xie."

"Another new student? Why does he look so strange?" Xie Xie saw Elysium, accompanied by a large man who appeared to be wearing a uniform that didn't fit the standards of this world.

Tang Wulin also saw him and responded with a smile. "So he really came here!"

"Oh, Wulin, you know him?" Xie Xie asked while still glancing at Elysium, who was standing there, talking to the large man.

"Yes, he helped my family once in the past. To this day, I still owe him a debt," Tang Wulin said excitedly.

The two continued their run while chatting happily. It was mostly Tang Wulin who introduced his friend.

But Gu Yue, who had been summoned by Wu Changkong, had a sour expression on her face. She looked at Xiong Jun, who stood beside Elysium like a loyal bodyguard. Like a subordinate looking at his new master.

Wu Changkong pointed at Gu Yue, who still couldn't accept that someone Di Tian had reported dead was now standing in front of her. "Fight her, and I'll judge whether you deserve to enter this academy."

Xiong Jun gritted his teeth and looked at Wu Changkong with deep, murderous intent. It almost materialized in the real world. But Elysium elbowed him and said coldly, "I already told you not to cause trouble."

Xiong Jun took a deep breath and exhaled slowly. "I'm sorry, Master."

Elysium nodded slowly and looked at Wu Changkong, who looked shocked and nearly crushed by Xiong Jun's pressure. Deep in his eyes, fear was clearly visible, and cold sweat was pouring from his forehead. That pressure was even more terrifying than his teacher in his battle armor.

Gu Yue was also subjected to the pressure, but didn't feel anything due to her status, but everyone in this school fainted simultaneously. Some even had blood streaming from their eyes and suffered broken bones in their legs.

"Haha, I apologize. Well, I will compensate this school for any losses. Rest assured, I'm a man who keeps my word." Elysium laughed dryly with an annoying expression on his face. "This is my subordinate, Mr. Gold Bear. He really had a bad day today and hasn't had his coffee this morning."

"..." Wu Changkong was speechless and covered his mouth. He took a few steps back and watched from the side. "You can start."
