Chapter 58 - Episode 58 — “Double Trouble Wedding Talk!”

Morning light filled the grand hall of the Auroria Palace, glinting off the golden walls. The air was heavy — not with tension, but with discussion.

Both royal families of Auroria and Baiyun Kingdom had gathered — the Empresses, the Emperor of Auroria, Grandma Wen, and of course, the four stars of trouble themselves: Haoran, Xiaoxi, Lianhua, and Xiangyun.

The topic of the morning: Haoran and Xiaoxi's marriage proposal.

---

Grandma Wen (smiling proudly): "Now that everyone's back under one roof, I think it's time we talk about formalizing this relationship."

Auroria Emperor (nodding): "Indeed. Haoran has proven his worth — and Xiaoxi has proven that… she can keep everyone busy."

Everyone: laughs softly.

Xiangyun sat stiffly beside his mother, arms crossed, clearly not thrilled but staying quiet — for now.

Lianhua, sitting beside him, was blushing for no reason at all, though she wasn't sure why.

Baiyun Empress (Xiaoxi's mother) smiled gracefully.

"Since both families have agreed, we can start discussing the dates and ceremonies. It would be wonderful to see both kingdoms united through this marriage."

Xiaoxi beamed, holding Haoran's hand under the table. Everything was going smoothly until—

---

Suddenly, Xiaoxi leaned closer to Haoran and whispered mischievously, "This feels too serious… should we spice it up?"

Haoran grinned. "You thinking what I'm thinking?"

Before anyone could stop them—

Haoran (loudly): "Actually, maybe one wedding isn't enough!"

Xiaoxi (excitedly adding): "Yes! We might need another one too!"

The entire hall froze.

Chairs stopped creaking. Teacups paused midair. Even Grandma Wen's fan froze in place.

Auroria Emperor: "…What did you just say?"

Haoran (cheerfully): "I mean—since one wedding will already bring joy to the palace, why not double it? Have two weddings together!"

Lianhua and Xiangyun (in perfect unison, jumping up):

"WHAT?! What are you talking about?! What wedding?! What ceremony?!"

Their voices echoed through the hall, faces turning as red as pomegranates.

---

Then came the thunder.

Both Empresses (slamming the table): "SHUT. UP." 😑😑

The silence that followed was so deep you could hear the palace cat sneeze in the corridor.

Xiaoxi and Haoran exchanged a quick high-five under the table, trying their best not to laugh.

Lianhua, on the other hand, wished the floor would swallow her whole.

Xiangyun was glaring at Haoran like he might call for his sword any second.

Xiaoxi (innocently): "Whaaat? I mean, they've been spending so much time together lately~ Maybe we just assumed something~"

Haoran (pretending to think): "Yes, like… maybe they already have feelings but don't realize it yet!"

Lianhua: "I—WHAT—NO! That's—We—It's not—!!"

Xiangyun: "You two are dead when we get out of here."

---

Baiyun Empress (smiling slyly): "Hmm… I don't hate the idea though."

Auroria Empress (teasing): "Nor do I. Xiangyun and Lianhua do look rather compatible."

Grandma Wen: "Two weddings, double the blessings!"

Lianhua's face turned crimson.

Lianhua (thinking): "What is happening?! I myself don't even know what's between us, and now they're talking about marriage?!" 🥲

Meanwhile, Xiangyun sat there frozen, jaw clenched, wondering how a normal breakfast turned into his accidental engagement meeting.

Haoran and Xiaoxi, of course, were having the time of their lives — laughing quietly while everyone else panicked.

---

And thus, what was supposed to be a simple marriage discussion turned into another royal comedy — full of chaos, blushes, and the start of a new spark no one expected.
