Early morning, the next day.
Li Shen stood inside a huge yard, probably the training ground of Lotus Pavillion. With high walls on all four sides and small lotus ponds on each corners.
In front him was Lianxi, looking at Li Shen intently.
Her eyes carried a bit of hostile energy. The reason behind it was simple. It was because Li Shen asked her something that she hate to answer. Exactly, it hit her sour spot.
In a angry yet concealed tone, she said. "Why are you asking about it? Are you interested about those things?" It looked like she already had a grudge against him.
"Well, I need to know a way to awaken your skill. So, I kind of need to know that. Whether you like it or not." Li Shen brutally responded.
Upon hearing that, Lianxi felt even more angry. She didn't know whether he was speaking the truth or was just playing with her.
However, after thinking about it, she calmed down.
Whatever it is, it doesn't matter if he knows about it or not. I'll be leaving soon, and maybe we won't be crossing paths again. Thinking like that, she decided to give him the truth.
With a smirk, Lianxi told Li Shen. "My biggest fear or insecurity at the moment is not able to meet the expectations of my elders."
"Does this answer your question? Was it the one you were looking for?" She asked.
Hearing that, Li Shen fell silent for a moment. Although the response was somewhat within his expectation, he didn't it will actually be the main reason.
He thought maybe she would answer like not being able to surpass her peer or something like that.
But, whatever, he got his answer. Now, all that left to do was for him to carry out the training.
Thinking of a perfect way, he took a breath and said. "Okay, that answered my question. It was exactly what I was looking for."
Then, he said with a calm yet serious face. "Now, we will start your training."
Suddenly, as soon as he said that, the surrounding scenery changed in Lianxi's eyes.
Just a few seconds ago, it was the normal training ground of Lotus Pavillion. But in that split second, it was changed into a chaotic scene. With dark clouds appearing above and grey fog appearing out of nowhere. Every direction was chaotic and blurry.
In that small sight, only Li Shen and Lianxi stood still. With Lianxi barely able to detect and sense Li Shen's presence.
When she saw that, she was surprised and alert. She hurriedly said. "What are you doing? What's going on?"
She had never seen or encountered anything bizarre like that, other than when she faced people who cultivates illusion techniques. Even for that, she had to look at their eyes.
But at that moment, she didn't see Li Shen using any eye techniques. And also, she didn't hear of Li Shen using illusion skills. He is famous only for his fiery fist skills.
To calm her down and focus on her training, Li Shen quickly said. "Don't worry, it's a part of your training."
Upon hearing that, Lianxi calmed down a bit, but she still didn't let her guard down.
Seeing her action, Li Shen praised her. Good.
Looking at her, he continued and advised. "From now, you will be on your own. And remember always trust your instincts and don't be afraid to go forward."
After saying that, Li Shen disappeared from Lianxi's eyes into the foggy surrounding.
Then, with a gust of wind, the chaotic and blurry scene changed into a scenery of a peaceful forest.
Standing in the narrow forest path, Lianxi looked around with a confused expression. "What am I doing here? What is going on?"
As she tried to recall why she was there, she felt dizzy and could not remember at all. The only thing she could remember was her angrily storming away from her grandpa's room after a fierce argument with him.
Remembering that, Lianxi's confused face suddenly changed into that of someone not satisfied and pouted. "Humph, how could he say that to me? Though I'm not good as her, I'm still the number 2 in our clan. And I take pride in that."
Constantly complaining and murmuring, she walked forward the narrow path. She didn't even bother to check the surrounding. In fact, she forget to ask herself why she was there in the first place.
On the other side, at the training ground of Lotus Pavillion, Li Shen stood there and watched every expression of Lianxi.
Surprisingly, there was no dark clouds or grey fogs. It was still the same normal scene of Lianxi and Li Shen meeting.
The only thing changed was that Lianxi was standing still with a blank expression like she was hypnotized or pulled into an illusion. In fact, it was the case.
After thinking of the perfect training plan, Li Shen directly pulled Lianxi's consciousness into his Sun and Moon illusion world, to help her awaken the will.
As she stood there still, Li Shen checked her every moves inside the Sun and Moon illusion world.
Though he was the master of the place, he could control the place at all. Only the participant's thought and will was shaping the world.
Li Shen silently watched as Lianxi moved inside the world.
Seeing her losing the memory, Li Shen sighed. Hai... it's still the same. I wonder whether she will be able to remember and trust her instincts. I hope she doesn't turn out like that one.
Thinking of that figure, Li Shen could not help but worry about Lianxi.
Maybe she can pull it of. He comforted himself. She is only half a step away from it, unlike that one. Let's wait and see.

Then, he suddenly clasped his palms together. "Now, let's start the first phase of the training."
When he clasped outside, something changed inside the Sun and Moon illusion world.
Inside the world, as Lianxi continued walking on the narrow path, the scene changed slightly.
Out of nowhere, a large red tiger jumped out from a nearby bush and blocked Lianxi's path.
Seeing the tiger that appeared out of nowhere, Lianxi's eyes widened.
