The day for Damian to finally be discharged came faster than he expected, and the relief that washed over him the moment he opened his eyes that morning was almost overwhelming. He had woken up early, earlier than usual, and he was already dressed by the time Dr. Graham walked into the room to check on him. His coat was on, his shoes were neatly tied, and his expression said one clear thing, he was done with hospitals.
"You look too excited to leave," Dr. Graham said with a soft chuckle as she checked the small chart on her clipboard. "I see you didn't waste any time getting ready."
"I've stayed here long enough." Damian replied casually, adjusting the cuff of his sleeve. "Thank you, doctor. I will be taking my leave now, and I hope not to see you soon."
