Chapter 105: Tang Hao Takes Action! Shrek Secretly Escapes?
A feminine voice echoed from outside the door.
Everyone from Shrek Academy and the Royal Fight Team almost subconsciously turned their heads to look outside, their expressions shifting, each face reflecting a different emotion.
But in that fleeting moment.
Flander, Zhao Wuji, and Qin Ming's expressions changed abruptly.
It was a primal instinct awakening deep within them.
They clearly sensed a murderous aura so intense it felt almost tangible.
Yet, this murderous intent didn't emanate from outside the door but from above their heads.
The next second, Flander, Zhao Wuji, and Qin Ming raised their gazes in unison, locking onto the ceiling above.
"There seems to be someone on the roof!?" A grave light flashed in Flander's eyes as he spoke in a low, suppressed tone.
Hearing this, Yu Xiaogang frowned, a trace of doubt crossing his face. He murmured softly, "Flander, what's going on? Could it be..."
He hadn't finished speaking.
Flander's gaze shifted to Tang San nearby, a cold resolve in his eyes. He shouted in a deep voice, "Little monsters, all come behind me!"
At his command, Tang San and the other Shrek Seven Devils didn't hesitate. They darted behind Flander and Zhao Wuji, crouching slightly, ready to face any sudden threat.
This stance helped them resist the suffocating murderous aura.
On the other side, Qin Ming reacted with equal speed.
Almost simultaneously, he shielded the Royal Fight Team behind him, his eyes fixed on the ceiling.
Meanwhile, outside the hotel.
Yue Douluo was approaching the gate with a gentle expression.
But as he reached the door and extended his hand to push it open, his face changed suddenly.
It was an instinctive reaction.
At that moment, he too felt an immense, almost tangible murderous aura sweeping down from above.
The aura was so terrifying it seemed to solidify and distort the air itself.
Before Yue Douluo's fingertips touched the door, he instinctively pulled back.
"Who is it!?"
His brows furrowed, his stance lowered slightly. He looked upward and shouted in a deep voice.
On the roof of the tavern at that moment sat a burly middle-aged man, draped in a loose gray robe, his face obscured by a thick mask.
He glanced at Yue Douluo below, then lifted a coarse porcelain wine jar, tilting his head back to pour large gulps into his mouth. The clear liquid dripped slowly down his mask.
"Tang… Tang…"
Seeing the man, Yue Douluo froze, his pupils contracting, his face paling, and his voice trembling as he stammered two incoherent words.
Before he could finish.
The man on the roof leaped up, raising his arms slightly, his fingers clenching. A dazzling black light condensed in the air, followed by a thunderous roar.
A massive hammer, its head as large as a water tank, materialized in the man's hands. Gripping the handle with both hands, he swung it down at Yue Douluo with ferocious force.
"Clear Sky… Clear Sky Hammer!!!"
Yue Douluo's expression shifted, unprecedented solemnity and fear flashing in his eyes. He reacted instinctively, his seventh soul ring, inky black, igniting as a surge of soul power erupted like a tide.
"Seventh Soul Skill, Spirit True Body!"
With a low shout, Yue Douluo unleashed his Spirit's true form without hesitation.
A lush, towering Chrysanthemum, its layered petals shimmering with faint golden light, rapidly formed in his palm. Releasing a torrent of botanical aura, it bloomed upward like a sky-supporting umbrella.
In an instant, the Chrysanthemum met the massive black hammer in the man's hands.
Boom!
A deafening roar exploded over Soto City like thunder.
The terrifying energy radiated wildly from the collision, transforming into a visible shockwave that swept outward.
The air roared, sweeping across the street. Trees on both sides snapped and collapsed under the energy's impact, broken branches and dust scattering into the sky.
At that moment, inside the tavern.
The wooden table and wine glasses trembled slightly. Spilled wine seeped through the floor's cracks, and an inexplicable sense of oppression filled the air.
No one knew what was happening outside.
Confused whispers filled the room as people looked around.
Even someone as strong as Zhao Wuji had been knocked to the ground by the shockwave. He rose, frowning, and looked at Flander with confusion.
"Why are you looking at me? I don't know what's going on," Flander said irritably.
At the same time, Tang San's gaze sharpened. He raised a hand to shield Xiao Wu behind him, the light of the Purple Demon Pupil glowing in his eyes as he stared toward the tavern's entrance.
"Dean, teacher, what's happening? What's going on outside?"
His voice carried a hint of urgency.
Flander exhaled heavily, about to speak, when his body suddenly trembled, a flash of surprise in his eyes.
A deep, familiar voice exploded in his mind:
"Flander, Yu Xiaogang, this is Tang Hao. The Spirit Hall is here. Take Xiao San and leave Soto City through the hotel's back door immediately. Hurry!"
At the sound, Flander and Yu Xiaogang's eyes met, their expressions shifting dramatically.
The next second, Yu Xiaogang forced himself to stand, speaking in a low, urgent tone, "Something's happened outside! Everyone, follow me and leave through the back door of the hotel. Quickly!"
Tang San frowned, his eyes filled with confusion. "Teacher, what's going on? Why should we leave? What happened outside?"
"Xiao San, there's no time to explain. Just come with me." Yu Xiaogang's face was grim as he glanced uneasily out the window.
He reached out, grasping Tang San's wrist.
Without hesitation, he pulled him toward the tavern's back door.
Seeing this, Qin Ming hurried forward, stopping Flander. "Dean, what's happening?"
Flander took a deep breath, unsure how to explain. After a moment's silence, he said slowly, "Qin Ming, I think Shrek Academy's enemies have come. A friend is holding them off outside. You and your students should come with me through the back."
"Enemies of Shrek Academy? Why haven't I heard you mention them before?"
Qin Ming's face changed, a flash of surprise in his eyes. He turned abruptly, scanning the Royal Fight Team. "Tianheng, lead everyone to evacuate through the back door!"
"Yes!" Yu Tianheng nodded immediately. Though the Royal Fight Team looked puzzled, they nodded in unison without hesitation.
They turned and followed Qin Ming, quickly heading toward the back door.
