Chapter 158 - Sealing Hidan

Shinji looked at the scythe blade extremely close to his pupil, the sharpness unique to cold weapons was very clear.

The information on the panel confirmed that the Hidan in front of him only knew that bizarre jutsu. At most, the few blood chains behind him were what interested him.

He signaled Mimi with his eyes, telling him to investigate the situation inside the blood pool.

Mimi nodded, his figure stealthily moving towards the blood pool.

Seeing this, Shinji looked at Hidan again. Takase could be said to have controlled the blood whip autonomously just now, but Hidan was completely different.

Instead, it was as if something in the blood pool was controlling him, only the two had not yet reached a balance. This caused Hidan's movements to be slightly strange at the moment.

Shinji took a deep breath, and his breathing technique began to circulate. Chakra burst from his feet, and he instantly disappeared from his original spot.

Hidan, having lost his footing for a moment, immediately fell to the ground. His pupils contracted.

This speed… how was it possible?!

Clang—

The sound of kunai colliding rang out. Even though it was wrapped in Chakra, the kunai in Shinji's hand shattered instantly upon touching the blood chain.

"Hahaha, Jashin-sama's blessing is not something a mortal like you can cut!" Hidan grinned, shouting crazily, and flipped his scythe, sweeping it towards Shinji.

Seeing that his attack wouldn't achieve what he wanted, Shinji instantly disappeared again.

Before Hidan could react, Shinji reappeared beside him.

If he didn't deal effective damage while Hidan was in this state, it would be troublesome later.

A dazzling blue-white light pulsed from his right palm, emitting a sharp screech, like a thousand birds chirping.

Shinji's objective was clear. The Chidori in his right palm pierced into Hidan's heart from the side. Then, using the momentum, he raised his foot and violently kicked Hidan away.

Hidan, sent flying, rolled across the ground of the altar like a pinwheel until he crashed into the stone pillar at the edge, finally stopping.

Shinji did not pursue, but remained where he was. After all, his goal had been achieved. He glanced at the scythe in his left hand and swung it.

The weight was good. No wonder Hidan liked this weapon.

It seemed he would have to look for a suitable weapon later. Ordinary kunai couldn't cut those blood chains. And if he were to use the advanced Raikiri of Chidori...

He remembered how Takase's blood whip had corroded the altar ground.

Shinji shook his head. It was better not to easily touch such things that seemed to carry curses or corrosion, even with Chakra wrapping them.

Hidan quickly stood up from the ground. The hole torn open by the Chidori on his chest was particularly conspicuous. He reached out and tore off his upper garment, lowering his head to look at the terrifying hole.

He dipped his index finger in some blood and licked it, his entire face showing an expression of ecstasy.

"Hahaha, yes, this is the pain! Pain is proof of Jashin-sama's love!"

Shinji's lipz twitched involuntarily. He raised the scythe high with his left hand and took a deep breath. He then swung it violently towards Hidan.

Boom—

A huge air slash, swung by the scythe in Shinji's hand, swept towards Hidan in a fan shape.

This time, Hidan broke free from his previous strange state and dodged Shinji's slash with a roll. After landing, he reached behind him.

One of the blood chains that had been embedded in Hidan's body slowly detached from his back and gradually wrapped around his left hand.

"Look, how beautiful!" Hidan pointed to his heart with a boastful expression.

A thin stream of blood was stitching up the hole in Hidan's chest that had been torn open by the Chidori.

"This is grace, this is eternity!" Shinji's expression hardened.

These blood threads were coiling from Hidan's left shoulder.

"Come on! Use your greatest ability! Cut off my head!" Hidan waved the blood chain in his hand provocatively, attacking Shinji.

Shinji did not respond to Hidan's words, but raised the scythe and slashed at Hidan's blood chain.

Clang—

The two collided in mid-air, both forced back a few steps by each other's force.

Shinji shook his hand.

The force had increased. This guy was gradually adapting, or rather, assimilating with the thing in the blood pool.

Without further hesitation, he knew he had to quickly deal with Hidan and then seal him using Fuinjutsu.

Facing the furious Hidan charging towards him, Shinji's eyes narrowed, no longer thinking of dodging.

He wanted to see if Hidan's Jashin or his Oborozuki Sage Mode was stronger.

He cast aside the scythe, raised both hands, and clapped them together fiercely.

Oborozuki Sage Mode!

His irises showed cat-eye patterns, red demonic markings appeared at the corners of his eyes, and his hair turned white. His entire aura transformed.

He raised the starting stance of Eternal Fist and charged towards Hidan.

Boom—

Hidan's blood chain was deflected by Shinji's fist. Shinji, with his fist wrapped in natural energy, continuously struck Hidan from a distance.

All attacks came with a Chakra vibration effect, making Hidan like a broken rag doll. He couldn't even counterattack.

After seizing a slight opportunity, Hidan retreated, widening the distance between himself and Shinji.

"Wah—"

Hidan knelt and supported himself on the ground, spitting out a large mouthful of blood.

He looked up, showing a shocked expression for the first time as he looked at Shinji. Not only his speed, but even his attack methods had become bizarre. He could render him helpless almost without even touching his body.

Shinji took a step and instantly appeared in front of Hidan, with the scythe trailing behind him, dragged by its chain.

Zzzzt—

The scythe blade cut through Hidan's neck.

Hidan's head, thrown high, looked at the spinning world with disbelief.

He was decapitated just like that?

He had just received Jashin's gift and hadn't even had a satisfying sacrificial ritual yet.

Thud—

His head landed and rolled several times. Shinji then used the scythe to pin Hidan's body to the ground. Only then did he turn and walk towards Hidan's head.

"Bastard! Let go of my body! I'm going to punish you properly!"

"No! I'm going to use my teeth to bite you into pieces, one by one!"

Hidan's head frantically shook, roaring at Shinji as he approached.

Shinji lowered his gaze, slowly stopping in front of Hidan's head.

"Noisy!"

Hidan, startled by Shinji's reprimand, yelled with a crazed look in his eyes, "You will definitely be punished by Jashin-sama!"

Shinji said indifferently to Hidan, "Aren't you trying to get closer to your Jashin? I'm helping you now. Death will bring you closer to it."

He reached into his ninja tool pouch, pulled out a scroll, and placed it on the ground. Then, he grabbed Hidan's hair and placed his head on the scroll.

He formed hand signs, mobilizing the Yin and Yang Chakra within his body.

He then placed his right hand on Hidan's forehead, and countless runes extended from it.

Hidan, who had been looking insane, seemed to melt due to the runes, and was pulled into the scroll.
