Chapter 165 - Observation Haki (Naruto Edition)

Although he was well aware of his teacher's strength, Sasuke was still a little dazed, being so easily handled by Shinji.

"Well done, Sasuke." Shinji praised Sasuke with great appreciation.

Among all his disciples, Sasuke was actually the one who gave him the least trouble. He made reasonable planning and steady progress. Naruto sometimes got ahead of him, causing him to lose his composure. But overall, the minor flaws did not detract from the overall excellence.

"And, don't make that face. I'm eighteen this year, and you're almost eight."

Shinji said exasperatedly, "If you caught up to me, wouldn't I be so ashamed I'd have to commit suicide?"

"Uh..." Sasuke was stunned, then thought that seemed to be the case.

It was just that his teacher's strength had never really been exposed in their eyes. Even the showdown with that Jonin Guy was only in terms of Taijutsu.

Shinji said with a light chuckle, "Don't always get bogged down in trivial matters. Your talent isn't bad, and you've worked hard, you just need time."

Shinji then said with a serious expression, "The Ninjutsu I'm about to teach you, you've actually seen it before. He created it when he became a Jonin at twelve years old."

Sasuke couldn't help but twitch the corner of his lips when he heard Shinji's words. He had just said his talent was good, and now he said something like that to him.

However, the person Shinji mentioned did pique Sasuke's interest.

He thought for a moment and asked uncertainly, "That Jonin named Kakashi?"

"Mm, not bad." Shinji nodded, gripping his right hand with his left.

In an instant, the entire forest was filled with hundreds of thousands of sharp, dense shrieks, like a thousand birds chirping in unison.

Shinji held a dazzling, brilliant blue-white light in his hand, illuminating the other side of his face.

"This jutsu is called Chidori."

Sasuke felt his breathing grow heavy, looking at the Chidori in Shinji's hand with a look of astonishment.

Shinji said as he slowly walked towards Sasuke, "Actually, this A-rank Ninjutsu shouldn't be taught to you at this time, when all is said and done."

"However, Sasuke, with your current development in Nature Transformation and Chakra control, to be honest, most people might not be as good as you."

This was the truth. Among Shinji's disciples currently, purely in terms of Chakra control, most of them might not be as good as Sasuke.

"So, I don't think it's necessary to be overly constrained by age."

"Moreover, the development of this Ninjutsu, much like Naruto's Rasengan, is completely blank, allowing each of you to discover its potential."

Kakashi now only compressed and enhanced Chidori into Raikiri. As for other development directions, Shinji has not heard of any so far.

Sasuke blinked. Hearing this, he was determined to learn this Ninjutsu.

"This Jutsu combines Chakra Nature Transformation and Shape Transformation."

"When this Jutsu is activated, the Chakra possesses the nature of lightning, thus generating highly aggressive electrical currents."

Shinji said to Sasuke, "Before this, Sasuke, you have already mastered Lightning Release Nature Transformation and learned Lightning Release Chakra condensation."

"What you need to do now is to highly compress and concentrate your Chakra, causing it to produce extremely high lightning energy density and powerful penetrative force."

"Simply put, it's imagining compressing the power of lightning into your palm."

"When successfully condensed, your palm will emit a sound similar to a thousand birds chirping in unison, just like mine is now. And this is also the origin of the name Chidori."

After Shinji finished speaking, the blue-white electric light on his right palm became even more dazzling.

Chidori!

Shinji's figure instantly disappeared. Sasuke, standing in place, only felt a gust of wind blow past him.

Immediately after, a large area of trees behind Sasuke was destroyed and collapsed amidst the ear-splitting sound of a thousand birds chirping. For a moment, a huge cloud of dust rose above the forest.

"So strong!"

Sasuke looked with his Sharingan. He had to use his Sharingan to track Shinji's movements just now, but he still couldn't see clearly. He could only see a blurry afterimage, fleeting in an instant.

Shinji, who walked back with his hands in his pockets, looked at the dazed Sasuke and slowly said, "Now, we will officially begin the lesson."

Although Sasuke was qualified to learn Chidori, Chidori itself was, after all, an A-rank Ninjutsu.

After several frustrating attempts, Sasuke finally grasped a little bit of the knack.

After resting for a while, Sasuke nodded towards Shinji.

Shinji raised an eyebrow, signaling Sasuke that he could begin. Sasuke then raised his hands and formed the following hand signs:

Rat—Horse—Monkey—Horse—Rabbit

Zzz——

Zzzzzzzzz——

As the hand signs were formed, Sasuke's right palm faced downwards, and his left hand pressed against his right palm. Scattered lightning sparks shot in all directions, and crisp, dense bird chirps crackled.

Lightning Release: Chidori!

In the next instant, Sasuke's figure rapidly disappeared, rushing towards the trees not far away. Instantly, several large trees in Sasuke's path snapped and fell. He then stopped, and Shinji slowly walked over.

Sasuke was seen panting, supporting his knees. That move had completely drained his Chakra.

"Very good, Sasuke." Shinji said with a smile in his eyes, encouraging Sasuke.

Hearing this, Sasuke straightened up and looked at the fallen trees beside him. For now, to have this power was already remarkable.

"Thank you, sensei." Sasuke bowed to Shinji.

"No need, rest first." Shinji waved his hand.

[Detected that disciple Sasuke has learned Lightning Release: Chidori under your guidance, his strength has increased, and his trust level has reached maximum.]

[Reward: Yin Release: Mind World Illumination, Spirit +50]

Oh, Sasuke trusts him so much already?

Shinji looked at Sasuke, who was sitting cross-legged, recovering his Chakra, and his eyes unconsciously curved into a smile.

This reward was a huge gain.

Putting aside the increase in personal stats, isn't this Yin Release the Naruto version of Observation Haki?

Is this because he found it too difficult to develop Yang Release Chakra Armor? So the system gave him a little something sweet?

This reward was really good. At least, if he were to use this jutsu, not to mention being first, his sensory ability would at least be much greater than Naruto's malice perception in Nine-Tails Chakra Mode.

Shinji said, "Alright, Sasuke, you have learned Chidori, but this jutsu consumes too much Chakra. So I must impose a restriction on you. You are not allowed to use it more than twice a day."

This was Shinji considering Sasuke's life, as Sasuke's Chakra was not as abundant as Naruto's.

Being able to use Chidori twice was a result of his good physical training and Chakra control in recent days.
