Chapter 18 - Chapter Eighteen

A force pulled the Wonderland members into a mirror and found themselves in a lounge. They panted for a moment as Atlas mapped out their next course of action.

"WE NEED A BREAK!!" A Wonderland member yelled

Noah smiled, "See Quill, the world is vast. Yes they are people above you but there are some below."

"You-" the member fumed

Dax sigh with sympathy, "Sadly we can't. As a third rank losing a few challenges wouldn't be an issue."

The temperature in the room dropped and Dax's eyes were cold as the aggressive pressure crashed down. Xavier smiled widely even as his body screamed to escape from the threat endangering his life.

"We are last. If our faction don't break our bones to succeed, what do you think happens...we disappear." Dax told "So keep up, our lives are on the line."

Dax broke off the locked lounge door, saw the drop ride and went to the building nearby, the office. After rampaging around they found a miniature display of the entire amusement park and let their leader do his think.

Dax looked through the blueprints and the display with serious intent. Ethan glanced out the window and paused for a moment.

"OVER THERE!" Quill screamed

They saw members of Golden Gate on the drop ride talking while looking out the fence and Dax quickly recalculated his thoughts. Across from that ride was a sky scraper on the South City depending on how they prepare the faction a zip line or toss themselves, the methods doesn't matter since they'll escape.

"How long can you find another exit...a faster one." Blake asked

Dax answered, "15?"

"You have 8." Blake told "We have to meet out guests."

Several monsters and ghosts were flocking toward the building while they equipped their weapons. Atlas, Quill and Blake positioned by the windows while Ethan with Noah were on the balcony.

Atlas sighed, "It's all the noise we've made."

"Probably." Xavier nodded

The Wonderland donned weapons and joined the fight. The enemies kept pouring in at some point the injuries over their bodies didn't ache. The weaker Wonderland members were in the back supporting with magic.

Atlas punched into the mouth of the mouth of a tiger and gravity crushed it to the ground. He yelled coordinates to Quill and he fired a several fire arrows. Ethan used his spear tipped with ice magic to stab in ghosts. Sadly he couldn't use poison due to the crowded area, it would hinder them as equally as the enemies.

"DAX! Anytime today" Blake called

Dax screamed, "It's a delicate and complex structure. Forgive me for not being a computer!"

"Don't be dramatic!" Ethan yelled

Noah roared and the monster focus were directed toward him. He turned into this bear form wearing his clawed gauntlets and slashed into the first incoming monster. Blake's sphered came from his blind spot and pierced through a monkey-like monster.

"Got it!" Dax yelled "The water slide."

The teenager ran deeper inside and they were forced to follow after them. Dax threw a line, it swapped around the tower swing below and zip-lined toward a sea. He saw the giant water slide across and the monster filling up the ground.

When everyone found a seat on the ride, they saw a smile on Dax's face but the members saw the mischievous glint in his eyes. They didn't like what they hadn't heard yet and swallowed down nerves.

"Switch on the ride, Quill." Dax beamed with bright eyes "Do it."

Quill's shaking hands raised to the machine, chanted a electric spells and the ride started spinning. The speed started to increase and they were spun around while strapped to the chair.

Maxwell was confused as the Crazed members who closed their eyes and were muttering to themselves. The fans could hear everything and had questions.

"I'll try to be nice to Ethan sometimes." Ethan whispered

Blake sniffed, "I'll try and be a better person."

"I'll to use wind magic to fly." Quill thought

Fey saw red mist below and blades sprung out of the mist and into the area connecting the disc with the chair to the rest of the ride. They didn't know what happened but everyone was airborne and they finally understood why the other closed the eyes.

Even without the ghosts and monsters, who want see themselves thrown into the air? The rush of wind in your hair and the intense fear of your landing.

Dax looked at the water slide and concentrated his red mist and made several spikes rammed up the disc.

"That would have gone wrong if I messed up." Dax exclaimed happily

They dragged themselves out of the seats and almost cried at the beloved feeling of soil.

"Bear weren't meant to fly." Noah sniffed

Atlas frowned, "You're saying you could have blundered?"

Dax kicked Atlas down the slide and looked over at the Golden Gate as the fired a harpoon toward the sky scraper.

"Will you go or shall I help you?" Dax smiled

Blake tossed the unconscious Quill down the slide and followed. The others dragged their bodies down and Dax joined them. It lead to large swimming pool which was welcome to the tried contestants.

"Where's Dax? I felt a sudden urge to worry." Atlas frowned

Dax was underwater holding various types of his double-edged sabers measuring them and counting tiles on the pool floor. He sunk his weapon down when he located the right point.

Cracks spread out the, floor caved in and Dax pulled in as his scream rose up as bubbles. Ethan saw a swirl in the middle of the pool and everyone followed is line of sight.

"He wouldn't-" Xavier began

Noah sighed, "He has."

They were dragged down into the depth and the oxygen slipped out. Some members of Wonderland drowned and vanished while Xavier and his close members held on.

Everyone saw a light and swam desperately toward it. Their bodies were heavy but the will to survive was greater than the fatigue. As Xavier surfaced he saw the sky illuminated with fireworks and smiled.

"Well, that was quite the journey." Fey panted

Dax smiled, "What took you so long? I won."

"Really?!" Ethan questioned

Noah roared into the the sky, "WE ARE FREE!!!"

A rescue boat drifted to the location of the source of the fireworks but didn't find anything. A pair of eyes watched the vessel move away and eyed the nearby beach.
