Chapter 29 - Chapter 28

A gentle knock on the door pulled Minjun from his usual evening comfort. He was sitting on the sofa, arranging books and mugs on a low table, when the sound made him grow alert and then instantly perk up. Getting to his feet, he smiled - standing at the threshold was Hyuk, holding a large box that emanated the rich aroma of fried chicken mixed with spicy notes.

"I thought you'd like to relax a little after the whole day," Hyuk said, stepping inside. His voice was soft, but the tone held that caring attention that always warmed Minjun.

Minjun laughed, taking the box, and felt a warmth spread through his chest. "You always think of everything," he replied, and the smile was more genuine than he had expected.

They settled in the kitchen. The space filled with the smell of chicken and spices, creating an atmosphere of simple domestic happiness. They arranged the food on plates, and their every gesture was filled not just with routine, but with a quiet intimacy - their fingers would occasionally brush, and their gazes lingered longer than necessary.

Hyuk began to talk about his day: how he helped a friend with work and how, on his way home, he witnessed a funny scene with a puppy that stubbornly refused to go back to its owner. Minjun listened, smiling, and sometimes their laughter would fill the entire kitchen, light and unrestrained.

"How was your day?" Hyuk asked after they exchanged another joke. His eyes sparkled with that same attentive light that made Minjun's heart clench.

Minjun talked about little things: how he encountered a store clerk with a surprisingly cheerful voice and how he met an old neighbor on the street and helped her carry her bags. They seemed like trifles, but there was a warm sincerity in Minjun's voice, and Hyuk listened as if they were the most important news.

After dinner, Minjun stood up, walked over to Hyuk, and gently placed his hands on his shoulders.

"Let me give you a massage," he offered, noticing the tension in his posture.

Hyuk raised his eyebrows in slight surprise, but then smiled and allowed it. Minjun carefully ran his fingers over his shoulders, pressing softly but confidently. The muscles under his hands gradually relaxed, and a strange sense of satisfaction arose within Minjun from this feeling.

He lowered his hands to Hyuk's back, massaging it slowly and attentively. His fingers seemed to memorize every movement, every line of Hyuk's body. And then, unable to resist, he leaned in and lightly kissed his neck.

Hyuk let out a quiet sigh, a sound more like a suppressed groan, and then immediately hugged Minjun by the waist, pulling him closer. Minjun felt the beating of his heart - a little faster than usual. That sweet warmth, which no longer required words, spread through the omega's chest.

"Minjun..." Hyuk's voice was low and soft, almost hoarse. "You always know how to make me happy."

Minjun smiled, his fingers still resting on Hyuk's shoulders. Every cell in his body responded to that phrase as if it were a confession. He wrapped his arms around Hyuk's neck, pulled him slightly closer, and gently touched his lips.

The kiss was light and cautious at first, like a breath. But then it grew longer, deeper - slow and confident, full of the love they both couldn't express in words. Their breaths mingled, their fingers slid through hair, and in that moment, the whole world disappeared.

When they pulled away, their gazes met. A silence hung in the room - not empty, but filled with harmony. Their hearts beat in unison, and their breathing remained uneven, yet calm. Minjun pressed his cheek against Hyuk's shoulder, wrapping his arms around him.

Hyuk rested his forehead on the top of Minjun's head, holding the moment firmly. His hands gently stroked his back, as if affirming, "I'm here."

"Let's just stay like this for a bit," Minjun said quietly, his voice like a child's plea for a home.
