Chapter 35 - Sealing Tang San’s Consciousness and Revealing the Ten-Thousand-Year Plan

Chapter 35: Sealing Tang San's Consciousness and Revealing the Ten-Thousand-Year Plan

So I decided to go to the Dual-Cultivation World.

It didn't take me long—only a few seconds. With a single thought, I sent my command to the Gate of Realms, ordering a random transfer.

The moment my vision cleared, I found myself standing in an unbelievably luxurious palace. Its brilliance was so dazzling it resembled the residence of a Heavenly Emperor, with jade pillars reaching the sky and divine light flowing across the floors.

But I had no interest in admiring the scenery. Without hesitation, I activated the Pillage Card and selected my target.

What I wanted was everything—the techniques, skills, and experience—without any emotions or personal attachments; all I wanted were his memories related solely to techniques and skills.

For ten minutes I explored the palace, searching for anything of further value. But in the end, there was nothing else worth taking. So I turned back, commanding the Gate to return me to DOULUO.

As I was leaving, I couldn't help but smirk. It would be amusing enough to watch Su Yang resurrected and acting like a fool in the future. I wanted to see how he would behave without any skills or techniques, and how he would practice Dual Cultivation.

For now, though, my attention shifted. I wanted to visit the DxD Universe, to seize some powerful equipment hidden there. But that would have to wait.

Closing my eyes, I whispered my command, and in the blink of an eye I was back in DOULUO.

The first thing I did was head to the girls. Their presence steadied me, but my mind burned with eagerness. I had to test what I had gained.

Using the techniques and skills of Su Yang that I had acquired, my hands moved automatically, every strike flawless, every breath perfectly synchronized. The technique surged like a raging river, precise and unstoppable, carrying the girls into a whole new world of pleasure.

When I finally sheathed the blade, my chest rose and fell with exhilaration.

It had cost me a Pillage Card, yes, but the result was undeniable. The skill was mine. The power was real. And it had been worth every sacrifice.

After bathing, I made my way to the residence where Wang Dong'er was waiting for me.

I didn't enter right away. Instead, I stood outside the door, listening. To my surprise, the sound of her sobs reached me. She kept calling my name over and over, her voice trembling with sorrow. From the faint rustling inside, I could tell she was holding my clothes tightly against her chest, clinging to them as if they were me.

Her actions overflowed with raw tenderness, exactly as I remembered from the original storyline—Wang Dong'er, the fragile girl who cried often, with a heart so sensitive it trembled at the smallest touch. Yet I also knew: once her memories returned, that gentleness would shift, hardening into something very different. It was a change I dreaded… but ultimately, the choice would be hers.

Without knocking, I pushed the door open and stepped inside.

The moment her eyes met mine, she froze. For a heartbeat, her expression was utterly blank, her mind unable to process what she was seeing. Then, as though all restraint had snapped, she bolted toward me.

She threw herself into my arms with such force that the both of us toppled backward. Her tears poured endlessly, and she clung to me like someone who had been drowning and had finally reached the shore.

I wrapped my arms tightly around her waist, stroking her back in slow circles, whispering gentle words to soothe her, though nothing could stop the tide of her sobs. For ten long minutes, I held her like that, letting her release the pain she had bottled up inside.

When her tears finally began to quiet, I shifted, carrying her with me into the Miles Rivers and Mountains Painting.

Before she could even comprehend what was happening, I moved swiftly. Channeling my power, I invoked the Eight Trigrams Sealing Style, striking directly at the source.

Tang San's lingering consciousness—along with the Seagod Trident—was sealed away in an instant. My inscriptions flared with light, layer upon layer of spiritual runes locking down every trace of resistance. I etched additional seals, reinforcing the barrier until I was certain neither Tang San nor the Seagod could ever awaken within her again.

The weight lifted from my heart the moment the seals settled into place. For the first time, Wang Dong'er was truly free—herself, and no one else.

Anyway, this fragment of Tang San's consciousness wasn't like the one implanted in Tang Wulin. It carried no true power of its own—merely a shadow, a tool for surveillance and control. At most, it could only summon the might of the Seagod Trident.

As I completed the seal, her eyes widened, brimming with fear and disbelief, until tears began to stream down her face uncontrollably.

I stepped closer, placing a hand gently on her shoulder, my voice calm yet firm:

"Alright… that's enough crying. I'm sorry I didn't warn you beforehand, but this had to be done. If I hadn't… the two of us would have perished without even knowing why. So please… calm down, and let me explain everything. Okay?"

Her sobs gradually slowed. She lifted her head, trembling eyes meeting mine, and with a hoarse, fragile voice she asked:

"Ji Lin… first tell me—where were you? I felt like I'd never see you again. You vanished so suddenly… it terrified me. I don't want you to ever leave me again… especially after hearing that you'd left Shrek Academy. I believed I'd lost you forever… Do you… hate me? I'm sorry… I promise I'll be better… just, please, don't ever leave me alone again…"

I couldn't hold myself back. I pulled her tightly into my arms, pressing my lips to hers in a deep, desperate kiss, as though I wanted to silence her fear for eternity. I whispered heatedly into her ear:

"I love you… I could never leave you. But I had no choice… please believe me. You've forgiven me, haven't you?"

She nodded shyly, her cheeks blazing crimson, as if my words had pierced straight into her heart. I leaned closer, gently biting her earlobe, drawing a trembling breath from her lips.

"Ah…"

Her embarrassment deepened, the blush spreading down her neck as she buried her face against my chest, trying to hide her flustered expression.

I smiled tenderly, running my fingers through her hair as I whispered:

"Alright, my love… now get ready to hear the real reason I stayed away from you all this time…"

And so, I began recounting everything I had learned—about her, about Tang San's so-called Ten-Thousand-Year Plan, and the truth: he had split his soul into three parts, sealing his power within the Sea of Consciousness, where both his fragment of will and the Seagod Trident resided.

At first, she wouldn't believe a word I said. Even as I spoke openly, laying out the truth piece by piece, Wang Dong'er's eyes shook with denial. She clung desperately to the memories she had, refusing to accept that Er Ming and Da Ming—the two she called family—might have lied to her.

Then she spoke at last, her voice heavy with sadness, trembling as though every word hurt her to say:

"Ji Lin… I want to go to Uncle Er Ming and Uncle Da Ming… It's impossible for them to lie to me. Please, take me to them. I really do believe everything you've told me, but I need to hear it from them myself… Am I really just a hunting tool used to capture Yu Hao? I think I should go back… They won't hurt me, I'm sure of it. Please, let me ask them."

Her words hung between us like a blade, cutting through my chest. Yet I forced myself to remain calm. My voice was steady but firm as I answered:

"Wang Dong'er, alright—I'll let you do that. But you need to understand something. Right now they're searching for you in every corner of this continent. The moment you step outside, no one will look at you or explain anything. You're just a tiny, insignificant fragment of consciousness. Be honest with yourself… how did you even come here, Wang Dong'er? The name you carry belongs only to a very small piece of Tang San's daughter."

Her hands clenched tightly, knuckles whitening. Her eyes trembled as she fought back the tide of truth threatening to drown her. Finally she whispered:

"Ji Lin… I really don't know how this happened… But I want to hear everything from Uncle Da Ming and Uncle Er Ming. Please… let me."
