Chapter 75: I'm Not Human
The memory was vivid, etched into Might Guy's soul like a blade's scar. At six years old, he stood before Kakashi, the village's prodigy, and bellowed with all the fire in his young heart: "My name is Might Guy! I will surpass you and become the strongest ninja!" Kakashi, barely sparing him a glance, turned away with a bored sigh, dismissing the hot-blooded fool without a word.
At thirteen, Guy dragged a sullen Kakashi out of his dreary apartment, pummeling him into a swollen mess with relentless Taijutsu. Kakashi didn't fight back, enduring the beating in silence. Gripping his rival's shoulders, Guy roared, "Kakashi! We are eternal rivals! Let's ignite a battle that burns with the flames of youth!"
From that day, their rivalry spanned over a decade—sprawling Ninjutsu clashes, absurd footraces, even cooking contests that left kitchens in ruins.
"Kakashi!" Guy's voice would echo, year after year. "We meet again! Heard you botched a mission? Perfect! Time for our long-overdue showdown! We're eternal rivals!" Kakashi's name was a constant drumbeat in Guy's life, a rhythm of rivalry and camaraderie. They were more than foes—they were brothers in all but blood.
Now, that same rival lay broken before him, twisted into a monstrous mockery by the hands of their once-proud disciple, Renji. Guy's heart roared with resolve. He'd defeat the enemy before him, even if it wore Renji's face. And in doing so, he'd surpass Kakashi one final time.
Guy was pure, often mistaken for simple-minded. But beneath his boisterous exterior burned a sharp intellect. While Tsunade reeled in shock and denial, Guy's clarity cut through the haze. Renji's venomous words to Kakashi, hadn't escaped the ears of two of the Ninja World's titans.

Guy's gaze locked onto the crouched, snarling figure that had once been Kakashi, now a grotesque beast clawing jagged scars into the earth. A single tear glistened in Guy's eye before his expression hardened into unyielding steel.
Renji sensed the shift in Guy's aura, a storm gathering force. He glanced at the transformed Kakashi, its feral form shrinking under his touch until it was thumb-sized, a grotesque trophy he tucked into his ninja tool pouch.
If Guy fought this creature, he'd obliterate it without hesitation—Kakashi's desecration was an insult to his rival's honor.
But Renji had plans for this twisted Kakashi. It was too valuable, a weapon to shatter Naruto and Sakura's spirits.
Naruto, especially, would crumble first. The thought warmed Renji's cold, sadistic heart. Truly, he mused, he was Naruto's best friend.
Tsunade's gaze burned into Renji, unblinking, her mind a chaotic whirl of betrayal and despair. The horrific sight of Kakashi's transformation and Renji's chilling confession churned in her thoughts, threatening to unravel her.
Her legs trembled, strength draining like blood from a wound. Was this world real? Or was she still lost in a drunken casino haze, dreaming a nightmare? The Hokage, Renji, the Akatsuki—all felt like fragments of a cruel illusion. She longed to be just a carefree fool, far from the Ninja World's burdens.

But the searing pain tearing through her body forced reality into sharp focus. She was the Hokage.
Renji's betrayal was real. Everything was real—except the Renji she'd known, the warmth and strength she'd trusted. That was a lie, a cruel facade.
How could this be? Toying with their emotions, their sincerity—such a creature deserved to rot in hell. Tsunade's head snapped up, her eyes blazing with raw, unfiltered hatred.

Renji inhaled deeply, steadying the sadistic thrill coursing through him.
'Calm down', he told himself. Greater harvests of Chakra awaited. He couldn't afford to act like some small-time schemer.
A sudden gust erupted behind him, a fist tearing through the air with blinding speed, kicking up dust and leaves. Tsunade's eyes gleamed with murderous intent, her killing aura sharp enough to slice through steel.

"Sensei…" Renji said softly, his voice laced with the innocence he once had.
Tsunade's brows softened, her killing intent dissolving as a memory flooded her mind—an idyllic Konoha afternoon, sunlight warm but not harsh. She stood beside Renji, guiding him through Medical Ninjutsu.
When he mastered it with ease, he'd looked up, his smile bright, and called her "Sensei…"
The memory shattered as a sharp pain lanced through her. Renji wasn't Tsunade. He didn't hesitate or hold back. Seizing her moment of vulnerability, his hand morphed into a gleaming longsword, thrusting forward with lethal precision.
Tsunade, caught off guard, was defenseless—years of trust had left her unprepared for Renji's betrayal. In his eyes, her movements were riddled with flaws. He'd been toying with them all along, using less than a tenth of his true power.
Blood trickled from Tsunade's lips as the sword pierced her heart, death looming like a shadow. She didn't care. Her gaze locked onto Renji's, searching. "Renji… was there ever even a shred of sincerity?"
How could years of deception leave no trace of genuine emotion?
Renji grinned, a cruel, toothy smirk, as the sword dissolved back into his hand. Tsunade collapsed, blood pooling beneath her, staining the earth crimson.
In that moment, a twisted thought crossed Renji's mind. A hole opened in Renji's chest, a grotesque parody of a heart's absence. "I'm not human," he said with a chilling laugh. "I don't feel emotions. Look—there's nothing here. No heart."
He should feel emotions, but his only drive was malice toward humanity, a sadistic joy in manipulating them like pawns. It was his nature, woven into his cursed existence. He lacked organs, a heart—everything that made humans human.
His Idle Transfiguration could craft flesh and bone, but not abstract things like emotion. Years of wielding that power had devoured whatever humanity he might once have had.
"Even in death, Tsunade, you're as foolish as Kakashi," Renji sneered, his voice laced with venom.
"That beautiful face and body of yours? They'll become something utterly ugly." With a cackle, he delivered a fatal blow, ensuring Tsunade's demise. Her body warped under Idle Transfiguration, twisting into a monstrous form before shrinking into his ninja tool pouch.
Only one remained.
Renji's gaze settled on Might Guy, his grin widening. "Let's end this here, Guy-sensei."
Guy's expression was resolute, calmer than ever, as if he spoke to himself. His toes extended with the grace of a crane, yet his stance was unyielding as a mountain. His muscular arms spread, his towering frame light as a bird, his strength a tiger's ferocity. His movements danced between predatory might and ethereal agility, a perfect balance of power and grace.
Chakra surged into him, his muscles contracting before erupting with even greater force. Red steam poured from his body, his skin flushing crimson. His thick brows bristled, his eyes blazing with unyielding spirit, hair standing on end as fury etched his face.
"Renji!" Guy's voice boomed like a war bell, rattling Renji's eardrums. "Have you ever witnessed the final Gate of the Eight Gates?"
His volume swelled with his body's transformation, an uncontrollable tide of power. The world blurred around him, his focus narrowing to Renji alone.
Renji understood, his grin stretching wider, dripping with sadistic anticipation. "HAHAHA! Show me then, Guy-Sensei!" He spread his arms, eager to witness the spectacle.
It was as if they'd returned to Konoha's training forest, mentor and student. But this time, Guy was staking his life, unleashing the Eighth Gate to drag his fallen disciple into the abyss.
Renji felt no fear. He knew he couldn't die. To experience the ultimate secret of the Eight Gates was a thrill he craved—a final gift from Guy before his end.
"It's time to protect what matters most with your life!" Guy roared. "Eighth Gate—Gate of Death! OPEN!"
Boom!
The ground quaked, dust and stone fragments spiraling outward. The mere act of opening the Gate unleashed an aura so staggering it shook the earth.
Guy vanished from Renji's sight.
Bang!
A single punch sent Renji flying like a rag doll, his sternum caving in.

Blood sprayed from Renji, organ fragments spewing from his mouth. He gasped, but his injuries healed instantly, his body reforming with unnatural speed. The Gate of Death was a different beast entirely—unfathomably fast.
Guy didn't relent. His burning body wouldn't allow it. His arms spread like wings, legs propelling him forward, closing the twenty-meter gap in an instant. The force of his charge, fueled by the blood boiling in his veins, converged into a single, cataclysmic fist.
Bang!
A sonic boom roared in Renji's ears, the wind whipping his hair as a beast-like shadow engulfed him. Guy's gleaming eyes locked onto him, pinning Renji in place with sheer presence.

The impact surged through Renji, shattering muscles, blood, and bone like brittle twigs. His body hurtled backward, crashing into the earth. Guy gave no quarter—this was a battle that demanded speed. The Eight Gates thrived on swift, decisive strikes.
Crouching low, Guy shattered the gravel beneath his feet with raw power. "First Step!" he bellowed.
Boom!
A distorted air shockwave pierced Renji's position. Renji retreated, raising his hand to block, but the bones in his arm cracked under the force.
"Second Step!" Another shockwave, the air compressed to a blinding white, driven by pure Taijutsu.
"Third Step! Fourth Step!" Countless airwaves pinned Renji in place, immobilizing him as Guy's assault continued unabated.
"Fifth Step!" Guy's arms spread like a hawk's wings, his chest contracting, eyes blazing with predatory intensity. A tsunami of terrifying aura rolled outward.
"Evening Elephant!" he roared.

The speed was blinding, the power overwhelming. Renji, trapped by the earlier airwaves, couldn't react. A colossal force slammed into him from behind, tilting his body forward like a mountain was crushing him. No matter how he struggled, he couldn't break free. His body tumbled through the air, crashing into the earth with such force it felt like he'd shatter the planet itself.
Guy gasped, his eyes fixed on the crater he'd created, waiting. When Renji crawled out, battered but healing, a flicker of surprise crossed Guy's face. 'As expected of Renji.'
Lava seemed to flow through Guy's veins, his muscles bulging on the verge of bursting.
"Charge! Flow… Night Guy!" His voice thundered like a dragon's roar, the air around him scorching as if the world itself burned. Red steam coalesced into a massive dragon, roaring as it charged Renji, Guy's upper garment reduced to ashes.
Renji's eyes widened, the pressure unlike anything he'd felt before.
Crack!
Guy's leg, a juggernaut of limitless power, rocketed toward him, warping the very space it crossed. Renji crossed his arms to shield himself, but it was futile.

The force tore through Renji's chest, leaving a gaping hole, blood mist spraying as he hurtled backward, crashing into the ground with devastating impact.
