The battlefield was silent.
The sky, once torn by fire and smoke, had turned gray — lifeless and hollow.
Mountains had crumbled into dust, oceans boiled into steam, and the air smelled of ash and memories. Only one man walked through the ruins — Captain Chucky.
His armor was cracked, his weapon rusted, and his heart… empty.
He had won the war, but at what cost?
Everyone — Zaid, Ruka, Kuze, Leo — all gone.
The earth had turned into a graveyard of his own victories.
Chucky limped across the broken city. The wind howled through the shattered towers, whispering the names of the fallen. For days, he searched — for food, for water, for a reason to keep living. But what he truly searched for was forgiveness.
"Was it worth it?" he murmured, looking at the burnt sky.
His voice echoed, unanswered.
On the seventh day of wandering, he reached the remains of the Bio-Genesis Laboratory — the place where plant-humans were once created. Half buried under concrete, a faint light flickered inside. He broke through the debris, coughing from the smoke, and saw something move — a heartbeat.
It was Euka.
Her body was weak, her face covered in dust, but she was alive. Her green veins still glowed faintly — the mark of the last surviving plant-human. Chucky froze, unable to believe it. The one he once fought against… was breathing.
He rushed to her side.
"Euka… you're alive."
She opened her eyes slowly, whispering, "You… should've let me die."
Chucky stared at her, confused. "Why would I? You're the last hope of this world."
She looked away. "Hope died with Zaid."
But he didn't answer. Instead, he carried her out of the ruins, step by step, as the sun rose for the first time after weeks of darkness. The light hit her face, and for a moment, she didn't look like an enemy — she looked human.
A New Life
Months passed. Chucky built a small shelter in the middle of the dead forest. He hunted for food, purified rainwater, and took care of Euka until she regained her strength.
Silence often filled the days, but slowly, they began to talk.
"I fought for humans," he said one evening. "I thought destroying your kind would save us. But now… there's no one left to save."
Euka replied softly, "And I fought for nature. Now nature itself weeps."
They were enemies who had no one else to hate. So, in their loneliness, they began to understand each other.
Years later, the seasons started to return. Green patches appeared on the land, small rivers flowed again, and birds returned to the sky. Chucky believed it was Euka's presence that healed the earth. She was part of nature — her life force spreading wherever she walked.
But loneliness is a dangerous thing.
One night, under the trembling stars, Chucky looked at her and said, "Euka… I can't lose you too."
She didn't understand.
He stepped closer. "You will live. You must live. The world needs you… and I need you."
And in that desperate confusion of survival and love, they became one.
Months later, Euka gave birth to three children — Obrigado, Pxco, and Lelio. They were neither fully human nor fully plant — their eyes glowed faintly green, their hair carried streaks of silver. A new generation had begun.
The Sons of the New World
Obrigado, the eldest, was curious and calm like his mother. He often touched the soil and said he could hear it breathe. Pxco, the middle child, had his father's strength and boldness. He wanted to build, to conquer, to lead. Lelio, the youngest, was quiet — a dreamer who drew stars and spoke to the wind.
Chucky watched them grow with pride — and guilt.
He taught them survival, defense, and courage.
Euka taught them peace, healing, and harmony.
But their home was not alone on Earth anymore. Other survivors — mutated creatures, half-human tribes, and ancient A.I. machines — had begun to awaken under the soil. The old world was rising again, but in darker forms.
Obrigado, now sixteen, once asked his father, "Is it true you killed the man who tried to save the planet?"
Chucky froze. "Who told you that?"
"Mother said his name was Zaid," Obrigado whispered. "She said he wanted peace."
Chucky turned away. His voice trembled. "He wanted control, not peace. I did what I had to."
But deep inside, Obrigado could feel something — a pain that didn't belong to him. The earth often whispered Zaid's name when he touched it. And sometimes, in his dreams, he saw a man with silver eyes saying, 'Don't repeat my mistakes.'
The Awakenin.
One night, while exploring the old ruins, Obrigado found a sealed metal capsule buried under the roots of a glowing tree. Inside it was a hologram — an old message from Zaid himself.
"If you are hearing this, then I failed.
I destroyed what I wanted to protect.
But maybe you — whoever you are — can do what I couldn't.
Don't fight nature. Become part of it."
Obrigado's hands trembled as he watched.
The message ended with one final line —
"Forgive me, Chucky."
He ran home and showed it to his parents. Euka cried silently.
Chucky stared at the hologram with hollow eyes.
"I buried this war once," he said, "and I will never let it rise again."
But Obrigado knew — the world was already changing. Strange energy storms were forming, plants growing uncontrollably, machines awakening beneath the ground. The legacy of the old war was coming back.
And this time, it wouldn't be about humans or plants.
It would be about survival itself.
A New Dawn
As dawn painted the sky gold, Obrigado stood on the hill where the ruins of the Bio-Genesis Lab once lay. The wind carried whispers of Zaid, Ruka, and Leo — names he never knew but somehow felt connected to.
He clenched his fist and said softly,
"I won't let your sacrifices go in vain. This time, the earth will live."
Behind him, Euka and Chucky stood silently. They both saw it in his eyes —
the same fire that once burned in Zaid,
but brighter, purer, and full of hope.
The world was breathing again.
The New Era had begun.
And its first guardian… was Obrigado.
