Chapter 40 - Chapter 40 – The Unknown in the Throne

Two months had passed since the last great battle. The world had fallen silent beneath Ryo's reign, but silence… often hides the loudest storms.

[Throne of Infinity Crown Dimension]

The vast, ever shifting throne room was suspended above countless universes. Stars bent around it, and galaxies twisted into spirals beneath the weight of Ryo's will. He sat upon the Throne of Origin, his eyes half closed, his aura pulsing like the heartbeat of creation itself.

But today… something felt wrong.

Ryo: "It's quiet… too quiet."

For the first time in ages, he felt something stirring. A presence that didn't belong not Kael's resistance, not Yuna's rebellious intent, not even the gods who knelt before him.

This was different ancient, distant, and watching.

He stood, the cosmos trembling under his feet.

Ryo: "Show yourself. I know you're there."

No answer. Only the endless hum of reality itself. Yet deep in his soul, something whispered a faint, almost mocking voice.

???: "You think you've reached the end… but this story has no end."

Ryo's crimson eyes narrowed.

Ryo: "Impossible. Nothing exists beyond me. Nothing."

He stretched his hand forward, bending space and time like glass. His awareness expanded beyond the human universe, beyond the divine layers, beyond even the Crown Cosmology itself.

And then… he saw it.

A black horizon.

A space that should not exist.

[The Edge of All Things]

There, beyond the final layer of the multiverse, beyond even his own Throne a rift pulsed. It was neither light nor dark, neither real nor unreal. It was nothingness and yet, it was alive.

The moment he looked at it, his power shuddered.

Ryo: "What… is that?"

For the first time since ascending, his voice carried doubt.

He stepped forward, tearing through dimensional membranes as if they were paper. He broke through the Reality Shell, past the Crown, and into the rift. The moment he entered, his omnipotent presence weakened not by force, but by nature. Here, his existence meant nothing.

Ryo: "I feel… incomplete?"

The voice returned, clearer now.

???: "The writer you killed was not the first. And the world you rule is not the only story. Beyond the story lies the Origin Script the foundation from which all narratives are born."

Ryo clenched his fists. Rage burned in his chest, but so did curiosity.

Ryo: "Are you saying… I am still part of a story?"

"Not just a story. A layer. A crown within a crown. A universe within a tale that has yet to be written."

The void pulsed, showing glimpses of other existences other realities where beings beyond comprehension observed him. And among them, one shadow stood taller, faceless but vast, its presence dwarfing even his throne.

[Back in the Throne Room]

Ryo returned shaken, but not defeated. His mind raced.

Ryo (thinking): "If this 'Origin Script' is real… then my rule is not complete. My power, my throne they are nothing if I do not control that."

For the first time, he realized his story was not over. His empire was vast, but perhaps… only one page in a much larger chronicle.

He sat upon the throne again, a smile creeping across his face.

Ryo: "Then I will not stop. If there is a power beyond stories… I will seize it. If there are authors beyond authors… I will become them."

His aura flared, brighter and more violent than ever before. Across the realms, Kael and Yuna prepared to strike but Ryo's ambitions had already surpassed their understanding.

The war for the cosmos was no longer about thrones or universes.

It was about who would write reality itself.

Narration:

And so,the next chapter of fate began.

The heroes sharpened their resolve, unaware of the storm that awaited them.

And the god they sought to destroy had now set his sights on something far beyond power authorship itself.
