Raya ended the call and threw her phone onto the couch, her fingers gripping the edge as her mind raced.
Lucas must have posted the picture.
There was no other explanation. No accident. Just him. And the anger that bubbled in her chest was sharp enough to make her fingers tremble.
Why would he do this? Anna is gentle, kind… she doesn't go around offending anyone. And yet Lucas had humiliated her. Was this revenge for his baby sister Camilla? Because of the way Anna and herself had stood their ground at the luxurious store? But it wasn't Anna's fault that Camilla overpaid for that bracelet.
If the roles were reversed, if she were in Camilla's shoes… who would fight for her? Who would stand up for her?
Nobody.
So why was Anna being punished because they daring to defend herself?
