Chapter 6: The First Thing to Do After Setting Sail Is Go Home
Seeing the moist farmland, Cheng Lang nodded.
"It really works."
Ordinary tools couldn't be transformed into MC tools, but some mechanics still applied.
Seeds could be planted on tilled soil, and the soil would stay moist as long as water was nearby.
Didn't matter if it was MC water or not—water was water.
He had an idea.
He covered less than half a block of water with a slab.
No water was visible on the surface.
"Too bad I don't have bone meal. I could make a compost bucket… but I don't have leaves. Not that I'll need them later."
"Where do you keep the kitchen waste, Alvida?"
"In the trash can."
Cheng Lang rushed into the kitchen.
Alvida followed, curious.
He flipped the trash can and dumped its contents into a square bucket.
Something magical happened.
Green light glowed from the bucket.
A white, wrinkled object popped out.
"It works!"
"Alvida, help me toss in anything rotten or inedible."
After some effort, Cheng Lang had ten bone meals in hand.
"What is this? Can you eat it?" Alvida asked, inspecting the powder.
"Come with me. I'll show you what bone meal can do."
They returned to the deck—and froze.
A square tree stood proudly in the middle of the ship.
"Wait… what?"
Alvida was stunned.
But Cheng Lang wasn't surprised.
MC trees had weird growth cycles.
Sometimes they took days.
Sometimes they grew instantly.
He walked up to the tree.
His eyes locked onto the wood.
"Chacha fruit tree."
He pulled out an axe and chopped it cleanly.
The leaves withered.
A sapling dropped to the ground.
And with the leaves, two chacha fruits fell.
Cheng Lang tossed one to Alvida.
She stared at the round, plump fruit in disbelief.
She took a bite.
Crispy. Delicious.
The surprises weren't over.
Cheng Lang planted the sapling again and used one bone meal.
The tree grew instantly.
He repeated the process.
Leaves withered. Fruits dropped.
He kept going until he ran out of bone meal.
Alvida stared at the basket full of chacha fruits.
All plump. All identical.
No seeds—just juicy flesh.
And they were filling. One fruit was enough to feel full.
"Your ability is insanely useful. With this, we'll never run out of fruit," Alvida said.
"It's a shame we don't have shears. We could create a perpetual loop. What a waste," Cheng Lang sighed.
Just then, Alvida stood and walked to the bow.
"What is it?"
"Hahaha! I finally found those damn traitors!"
---
Cheng Lang looked into the distance.
A tiny black dot appeared on the horizon.
He wondered how Alvida could see that far.
The dot grew quickly.
In less than half an hour, it was right in front of them.
Alvida spotted her old ship.
Her former crew saw her—and their faces turned into pig-like grins of lust.
Alvida felt awkward.
She'd expected regret.
Instead, they were drooling.
Before she could speak, they rushed up.
"Hey beautiful, wanna party with your boys?"
"We've got cash now—let's celebrate!"
"Didn't expect a babe like you on Mary Island!"
Hearing their filth, Cheng Lang frowned.
"She's Alvida."
The pirates paused.
Then looked at the smooth-skinned, curvy woman in front of them.
"Hahaha, kid, you're hilarious. No way that fat pig Alvida turned into this."
"Best joke I've heard all week."
"If Alvida looked like this, I'd let her swing that mace at me every day. I'd die happy."
They laughed, clueless.
Alvida had already picked up her mace.
A sneer curled on her lips.
"So you'd be happy if I swung at you every day?"
Her voice had changed—but the tone and rhythm were unmistakable.
The pirates instinctively flinched.
It felt like they were back under her rule.
They noticed the mace.
The hat.
The cloak.
And the terrifying realization.
But before they could react—
WHAM.
Chaos erupted on the dock.
Bodies flew. Screams echoed.
Cheng Lang watched, shaking his head.
Later, as the ship drifted away—
"I thought you were going to kill them all," Cheng Lang said, leaning on the railing.
"Kill them? That's too easy. I want them to regret betraying me," Alvida said proudly.
"Now I've got the looks and the figure."
She pulled out a mirror and admired herself.
"Ah~ I'll never get tired of this."
Cheng Lang was speechless.
She'd been like this for hours.
But it made sense.
She'd been ugly for over twenty years.
Now she was beautiful.
Of course she'd enjoy it.
Just like Cheng Lang still hadn't processed being in the One Piece world.
Watching Alvida beat up her crew felt like watching a cutscene.
But one thing was clear now.
Strength mattered.
Until now, Cheng Lang hadn't really grasped the power gap.
Time travel, Devil Fruit, MC mechanics—they'd distracted him.
But watching Alvida's brutal attacks…
He realized something:
He was weak.
