Chapter 15: Iron Body and Infinite Showers
Cheng Lang renovated the bathroom he'd prepared earlier.
Though "renovation" was generous—it mostly involved placing a water source on the ceiling.
He added two wooden steps beneath the falling water.
The flow was fixed.
He reached out.
Ice cold.
He could feel the water running down his hand—
But when he pulled it out, it was completely dry.
Alvida grabbed a bucket and placed it under the stream.
It filled quickly.
She poured the water into the bathtub.
Turns out, the water existed until it hit the floor—then it evaporated instantly.
"As expected," Cheng Lang said.
He'd anticipated this.
MC water could be collected and drunk.
But once it left a container, it vanished.
It still triggered physical reactions—splashes, waves—
But once calm, it disappeared.
"Pretty amazing."
"Try using a wooden ladle," Cheng Lang suggested.
Alvida scooped water.
It splashed—then vanished on contact.
She got playful.
Grabbed a bamboo tube.
Tried to redirect the flow into the pool.
No luck.
Cheng Lang nodded.
Reality still obeyed MC logic.
Containers could hold water—
But couldn't draw it from a source.
"It's fine in summer," Alvida said. "But winter would be freezing."
"Can you heat it?"
"Probably not… but I have an idea."
"What is it?"
"Don't you have a bathtub?"
Cheng Lang tilted the tub under the water flow.
It filled steadily.
Then he placed it on half a brick—
And lit a bonfire underneath.
Soon, the water began to bubble.
"Amazing," Kuya Mi said, reaching out.
It was hot.
"Easy to extinguish too," Cheng Lang added.
He scooped water and poured it on the fire.
It went out instantly.
"To relight, just use a lighter."
Alvida inspected the tub.
No visible flames.
The tub felt cold.
But as Cheng Lang operated, the temperature rose.
Once the fire went out—
The tub dropped to freezing.
How did he do that?
"After bathing, just pour the water out—like this."
Cheng Lang tilted the tub.
The water hit the floor and vanished.
Clean.
Hygienic.
Zero pollution.
"Alright, time for you two to shower. I'll head out."
He left.
Only the two women remained.
They couldn't hold back.
Soon, they were immersed in the joy of bathing.

Meanwhile, Cheng Lang was testing his armor.
He'd crafted a full set of iron tools and armor.
After putting it on, no visual changes appeared—
But he could feel it.
Snug fit.
Not heavy.
No movement restrictions.
"Do I have a body of steel? Or iron?"
He touched his clothes—no sign of a breastplate.
"Should I test it?"
MC doesn't allow self-harm—
But reality does.
He grabbed an iron sword.
Then switched to stone.
Then wooden.
Cheng Lang was a modern guy.
He couldn't even kill a chicken.
Naturally, he feared pain.
He aimed the wooden sword at his calf.
Pressed gently.
At first, just pressure.
Then mild discomfort.
He pushed harder—
Suddenly, the sword hit something solid.
It wouldn't budge.
Still, a faint pain lingered.
"Smart."
Cheng Lang understood.
The armor activated only when pain was detected.
He checked the durability of his iron leggings.
No change.
Clearly, that wasn't even an attack.
He swung the wooden sword harder.
Ding.
Metal clashed.
It felt like being hit with a rattan stick.
A faint sting.
Even a white mark appeared.
But the armor's durability remained intact.
He'd tried to attack—
But the result was the same.
Unless the force bent iron, the pain would stay minimal.
In a sense, he really had an iron body.
If I had diamonds…
He imagined a full enchanted set with Protection IV.
But enchantments cost XP.
He was still level one.
No clue how to level up.
Mining and smelting gave no XP.
He doubted killing monsters would help either.
As for mob farming?
He had theories.
Maybe mobs only spawned on blocks he built—
Like his ship or the mine, if unlit.
Or maybe only certain blocks triggered spawns.
