Chapter 19 - introduction

meanwhile, with Morty, he teleported to the garage of the Smith household. And shut the blinds so the sun couldn't get in. " Mavis, it's safe to come out now."

*The garage was silent for a heartbeat—then the sound of light, hurried footsteps approached from the shadows behind the workbench. Mavis emerged—her eyes wide and searching, looking like she'd been hiding in the dark for hours.*

"Morty?" *she whispered—her voice trembling with a mix of relief and anxiety.* "Is it over? Is it safe?"

"yes, the sun is going down."

*Mavis exhaled shakily—running her hands down her sides. She looked exhausted—dark circles under her eyes. She was wearing an oversized hoodie and sweatpants despite the warm evening.*

"How long was I in there?" *She squinted at the dim garage light—shielding her eyes.* "I lost track of time. I think it's been... days?"

"It was only a few hours anyways how is the baby doing?" he said, pointing to her baby's bump

*Mavis lifted the oversized hoodie slightly—still reluctant to show the bulge beneath. Her hand came up to cradle the underside, her fingers unconsciously moving in the same protective rhythm Elena's had. Her smile was weary—hollow.*

"Fine," *she muttered—her voice flat.* "Kicking. A lot." *She looked away from Morty—avoiding his gaze.

"OK, are you ready to meet my family?"

*Mavis's face went pale—her hands instinctively wrapping around her pregnant belly. She backed up against the workbench.*

"Your... your family?" *Her voice was barely a whisper.* "You want me to meet them like this?" *She gestured at her bump—eyes darting toward the door.* "What are they going to think?"

"you're a sexy vampire princess the daughter of Dracula."

Mrs. Smith—Mavis—froze. Her pale skin flushed slightly—a rare sight for a vampire.

"I... I know who I am," *she stammered—her fingers gripping the hoodie tighter.* "But your family are... they're humans. Normal humans. They're going to judge me. Judge *this*." *She gestured at her belly.*

"they won't trust me. Mary Jane and my sister summer won't judge you because they're also pregnant like you and will be sisters my mom might freak out a little bit, but she will be fine." he knew she wouldn't care.

*Mavis chewed her lip—torn. The mention of Mary Jane and Summer being pregnant too eased the tension slightly—shared experience. But his mother...*

"Your mother is a human." *She stated—like it was an insurmountable obstacle.* "And I'm... I'm Dracula's daughter. The blood of kings. The night itself."

"i'm human and you love me as much as I love you and my mother is half me. I know she's going to love you. Remember what I told you at your birthday party now all he wants are bad if you give them a chance."

*Mavis's eyes softened—her defensive posture melting slightly. She remembered that night. The pool. The awkward birthday party. His words echoing in her mind.*

"You're right," *she whispered—stepping forward cautiously, her pregnancy waddle making her movements awkward.* "I'm being stupid. You're right."

*Mavis tensed—her hand instinctively covering her bump as she stepped through the doorway. Her pale skin stood out sharply against the warm, domestic scene of the Smith household. Summer and MJ were sprawled on the couch—both with noticeable baby bumps. Beth was humming in the kitchen—the smell of home-cooked food filling the air.

"hello everyone, this is Mavis."

*Summer and MJ immediately looked up from the TV—their eyes widening as they took in Mavis's pale complexion, her dark circles, her pregnant belly beneath the oversized hoodie.*

"Whoa." *Summer set down her soda—slowly getting up from the couch.* "You're a vampire?"

*MJ elbowed her.* "Summer, that's rude. She's clearly pregnant. Don't be insensitive."

Mavis shrank back slightly—her hand still protective over her belly. Her fangs caught the light as she bared them protectively.

"I... yes. I'm a vampire."

Summer squinted at Mavis—noticing the pregnancy bump beneath the oversized hoodie.

"A pregnant vampire?" Summer asked—head tilting with curiosity rather than judgement.

*Mavis nodded slowly—her shoulders dropping as she realized Summer wasn't hostile.*

"Yes. I'm pregnant. With Morty's baby."

*Summer's face broke into a wide grin.* "Oh my god—another baby? That's going to be adorable."

*MJ stood up from the couch—walking over to Mavis. She gently touched Mavis's arm.*

"You're beautiful," *MJ said softly—guiding Mavis toward the couch.* "And you're one of us now. We won't let anyone hurt you or the baby."

*From the kitchen, Beth's voice called out.*

"Another pregnant young lady? Morty, who's your friend?"

Mavis froze—the smell of cooking meat hitting her like a physical wave.

Beth stepped out from the kitchen—still wearing her apron. She held a spatula and smiled warmly.

"Who's this, Morty?"

Mavis backed away—her eyes fixed on the cooked steak in Beth's hand. The smell was overwhelming—a primal urge to feed rising in her throat. She gripped the counter to steady herself.

"I'm Mavis."

*Beth blinked—taking in Mavis's pale skin, dark clothes, and very obvious baby bump. Her smile didn't falter.*

"Nice to meet you Mavis. You want some dinner? I made steak and mashed potatoes."

*Mavis whimpered—her fangs aching. Steak. Raw meat. Her body craved blood but her stomach was doing somersaults from the pregnancy hormones.

"Yes, I think that's a good idea. Why don't you eat?" said Morty already seeing the signs since she's a vampire and pregnant, her instincts are heightened so we quickly meet up a plate of raw meat for her.

*Beth smiled and headed back to the kitchen. Morty followed quickly grabbing a plate from the fridge and piling it with raw steak—Blue rare—just how Mavis liked it.*

*Mavis took the plate with trembling hands—her fangs fully extending now. She didn't care about appearances anymore. She tore into the raw meat with primal hunger—blood dripping down her chin.*

*Summer and MJ exchanged wide-eyed looks—not judging Mavis for her vampire instincts but watching her eat with curiosity. Summer whispered to MJ.* "Is she allowed to eat like that?"

*MJ nodded quietly.* "Vampire pregnancy cravings are no joke. Let her eat."

Beth watched from the kitchen—her smile softening as she saw Morty quickly accommodate Mavis.

*Mavis devoured the raw meat in minutes—licking the blood from her fingers. For the first time in days she felt satiated—strong. The pregnancy fog lifting slightly.*

*She looked up at Morty—blood still on her bottom lip.*

"Thank you." *She whispered.*

*Beth walked over with a glass of water.* "So Mavis—how long have you and my son been together?"

"A week."

*Beth raised an eyebrow but didn't look angry. Summer snorted from the couch.*

"A week? And you're already pregnant?" *She looked impressed rather than disapproving.* "Damn. That's fast."

*MJ nudged her.* "Summer."

*Beth studied Mavis carefully—noticing the pale skin, the fangs, the gothic clothes.*

*Beth hummed thoughtfully—tapping the spatula against her palm.*

"And you're a vampire?" *She asked—not as a confrontation but genuine curiosity. Summer and MJ watched intently from the couch.*

Mavis nodded—her posture defensive.* "Dracula's daughter. The blood of kings. And I'm..." She gest velocitated pointing at her belly.

Beth's eyebrow went even higher—but she just nodded slowly.

"Dracula's daughter. Of course."

She didn't seem shocked—just mildly intrigued. Beth had dealt with aliens, time travel, and interdimensional parasites. A vampire princess was almost mundane by comparison.

"So... you're carrying my grandchild. A half-vampire baby."

*Summer leaned forward excitedly.*

"So, this baby will be, what? A vampire-human hybrid? With fangs? And immortality?" *Summer looked thrilled rather than disgusted. MJ nudged her.* "Stop asking invasive questions. She's pregnant." *Beth smiled—but had her own question.* "Mavis—"

"I have a question."

Beth held up her hand—stopping Morty from speaking. She looked directly at Mavis.

"Your father. Dracula. How does he feel about his daughter being pregnant with a human baby?"

*The room went quiet. Mavis's expression darkened—her fangs slipping out slightly. Summer and MJ stopped talking.*

Mavis's eyes flickered with something between fear and defiance. She crossed her arms protectively over her belly.

"He doesn't know yet. I ran away. From my own universe."

Summer's mouth dropped open. "Wait—you're from a *different* universe? Like interdimensional?"

*Mavis nodded slowly.* "Hotel Transylvania. My father runs a monster resort. He's... overprotective."

*Beth's face went completely blank—processing the information. Summer nearly fell off the couch.*

"Wait—so you're literally FROM another universe?" *Summer stared at Mavis.* "Like... interdimensional travel? And your dad is Dracula?!"

*Mavis nodded—her arms still crossed defensively over her bump.* "He would never approve. A human?"

Mavis gradually relaxed—her arms uncrossing as she sat on the couch between Summer and MJ. They talked about pregnancy symptoms—morning sickness, weird cravings, back pain. Mavis admitted she craved raw meat and blood oranges. Summer shared her obsession with pickles. MJ talked about her weird aversion to cats.

*Beth kept refilling their waters from the kitchen—smiling as she watched Mavis laugh properly for the first time.*

*The night grew quiet—Mavis curled up on one side of Morty's bed—her gothic clothes replaced with an oversized t-shirt she borrowed from him. Her fangs were tucked away—but her sleeping position was awkward—legs tangled in the blankets. Her hand still instinctively rested on her belly even in sleep.*

*Morty slipped under the covers beside her—his arm gently wrapping around her waist. He whispered softly.*

"You okay? You and the baby?"

*Mavis nodded—her pale cheek pressed against the pillow.* "Better now. Thank you for... everything. Your family."

*She yawned—fangs briefly visible—then let out a small, content sigh.*

*Summer hopped onto the bed first—kickimg off her shoes.* "If we're cuddling I'm getting top priority real estate."

*MJ rolled her eyes.* "You always take the best spot. I want the side near Morty."

*Summer gasped.* "Absolutely not. I'm his sister. I get the pillow side."

*Mavis watched them bicker with mild amusement.*
