The release progress bar reached 83%, with the recent battle adding 15 gray pearls and 12 white pearls.
Unfortunately, none contained skills.
After tidying up, Henry went to Linda's place.
Border collie Paul was already waiting at the yard gate when Henry approached, wagging his tail at him.
Henry crouched down to pat the dog's head and played with it for a while.
Linda heard the commotion and came out. Seeing it was Henry, she was very happy.
"Have you had breakfast?"
"Not yet."
"Wait a moment then, I'll make some right away." Linda turned and went back into the house.
More than ten minutes later, Henry was eating milk, fried eggs, toast, and a one-pound grilled steak.
Linda smiled as she sat across the dining table watching Henry wolf down his food, feeling very satisfied.
Henry devoured breakfast like a whirlwind - he was truly hungry, having gotten up at 4 AM to start working.
"Delicious!" Henry praised generously.
"I'm glad you like it. Want more?" Linda asked with a smile.
"That's enough. By the way, how's your packing coming along?"
"All packed, ready to leave anytime."
"Then we'll leave tomorrow morning. I'll arrange everything today."
"Good, no rush. Henry, finish your own business first."
"Let's tentatively plan it this way. I'm leaving." Henry stood up and said goodbye.
Becky and André still hadn't gotten up by the time Henry left.
Meanwhile, having heard no commotion outside for so long, five male servants from Devonshire Manor finally crept out of their rooms.
The entire manor was quiet. The five soon discovered the main house door was open with the master gone, and the large warehouse door was also wide open. Walking inside, they were immediately dazzled by the array of goods.
All five were stable hands responsible for caring for over seventy horses.
Horse whinnying could be heard from the stables from time to time - they had long been hungry.
One was an Irishman named Thad who had come with Sean, serving as head stable hand.
The other four were recruited cowboys.
Head stable hand Thad said: "Close the warehouse. I'll go find Elliott - he'll arrange our future work."
The other four stable hands exchanged glances.
Obviously, all the guards had been killed - the gunshots, explosions, and screams at dawn wouldn't lie, and Sean was probably dead too.
So all these goods were now ownerless!
One stable hand suddenly looked respectfully behind Thad and said: "Good morning, Butler Elliott."
Thad immediately turned around, but felt a chill in his back as four daggers plunged deep!
Thad screamed and lost consciousness - two of the daggers viciously pierced his heart, while two stabbed his left and right kidneys.
The four men looked at each other, almost simultaneously pulling out their daggers, backing away slightly, and watching each other warily.
"Hey, you're from the Ketchum gang, right? I saw you in Dodge City before. I'm Rattlesnake Sam's cousin," said a stable hand with rotten teeth to another with a full beard.
The bearded man's expression relaxed.
Another stable hand quickly said: "I'm with 'Bull' Jack Pierce."
Turns out they all had connections.
The three simultaneously looked at the last stable hand.
"'Dirty Davey' Rudbar!" the stable hand spat out a name.
The rotten-toothed stable hand said: "Since we're all brothers from the same place, we should unite. Butler Elliott will definitely try to stop us, plus there are eight other Irishmen."
The bearded man said gravely: "There are plenty of supplies here, enough for us four to make a small fortune. I propose - we four unite, first go to Elliott's room and kill him, then attack the eight Irishmen and their women in the five rooms one by one. The other twenty-three women won't dare compete with us for anything."
"Let's do it!"
"I agree!"
"Agreed!"
The four discovered the small warehouse had hardly any weapons left, so they each took a shovel or hoe from the large warehouse and headed toward Elliott's room. A riot was inevitable.
Meanwhile, at the McKinley smelting plant, Commander Tom consulted with local supervisor Fabio and sent a messenger named Jimmy to Devonshire Manor to report last night's attack.
Tom hadn't slept all night, remaining vigilant and ready for sudden attacks at any moment.
This left him exhausted. After arranging the factory's security, he returned to his quarters to catch up on sleep.
When Jimmy reached Devonshire Manor after about an hour's ride, he found the manor gate had collapsed, the final 400-meter drive was riddled with bullet holes, and faint crying could be heard from the manor.
Jimmy rode into the manor and found several bodies scattered across the road.
"Bang." A bullet flew past his ear, startling him as he looked toward the sound.
A bearded man was hiding behind a tree over thirty meters to his left, shooting at him.
He quickly grabbed the Winchester rifle hanging from his saddle and returned fire at the bearded man.
Both sides began passionate exchanges of gunfire.
Most people daring to operate alone in this era were experts, so Jimmy's marksmanship was quite accurate, even from horseback.
After firing four shots, he finally hit the bearded man's left shoulder near the neck as he emerged from cover.
But he was also simultaneously hit in the abdomen. Unable to bear the intense pain, he toppled headfirst to the ground.
The bearded man was no pushover either.
Only he remained of the four rebellious stable hands!
The Irishmen were too despicable - besides the butler having a gun, two other Irish gardeners also had guns!
When the four tried to lure the crafty old butler Elliott out to ambush him, he used his pistol to kill one and shouted a warning.
The remaining three had just beaten Elliott to death with shovels when two Irish gardeners burst out of adjacent rooms almost simultaneously, holding revolvers for close-range shooting.
Fortunately the bearded man reacted quickly, grabbing the butler's pistol and firing four shots to kill both men.
But his two temporary brothers blocking his front were shot in the stomach and neck, quickly meeting their maker.
The remaining men posed no problems. After the bearded man picked up the two gardeners' pistols and ammunition, he used the three guns to kill them one by one, also killing several women who tried to interfere.
Just as the bearded man was loading supplies from the warehouse onto a cart, he was disturbed by this uninvited guest.
Fortunately, he was still the last one standing!
The bearded man felt relieved.
At this moment, piercing pain from his left shoulder made him somewhat confused, but an evil wind stirred behind his head!
"Thud!" The bearded man's vision went black as he instantly lost consciousness and collapsed.
A sturdy white young woman swung her shovel and continued violently beating the fallen bearded man's head until it was smashed into a large pool of dark red matter, split open like a tomato.
"That's enough, Amy. He's completely dead," a middle-aged woman called to stop Amy.
"Sob sob, they're all dead! Connor and the others are all dead!" Amy threw down the shovel and wailed loudly.
Her husband Connor was one of the two armed Irish youths just shot by the bearded man.
