Chapter 41 - Chapter 41: Ever Heard of the Deadly Scissor Kick?

From within the ruins of the collapsed building, Henry slowly stood up from the pile of rubble.

"Warning, sir. Armor damage has reached 17.3%," Jarvis's timely voice rang in his ear.

Henry glanced down at his battle suit—sure enough, several dents and cracks had already spread across its surface.

Not good! After this fight, he had to develop a nano suit… and grab some Vibranium while he was at it!

His handsome armor being wrecked like this? Unacceptable!

Stretching out his slightly numb limbs, he couldn't help but grumble,

"These two freaks are ridiculous. Their strength is insane, and they just keep getting stronger the longer they fight. Damn it, the more I think about it, the angrier I get."

He began running countermeasures in his head at lightning speed.

Going head-to-head clearly wasn't an option.

Sure, he himself could get stronger when enraged, but…

"If I just rely on anger, wouldn't I become the same brainless brute as them? No way. That's ugly, tasteless, and beneath me. I refuse to turn into some meathead who only thinks with his fists—or worse, his lower body."

He recalled the climax of Avengers 1 from memory.

Dr. Banner had seemingly learned to control his anger.

"I'm always angry…"

Henry understood.

What he needed wasn't to suppress his rage, nor to be enslaved by it.

What he needed was a rational anger—controlled, yet harnessed for his own use.

Having figured it out, Henry suddenly laughed.

He slowly floated upward, flying out through the massive hole and back toward the battlefield.

The moment he emerged, two earth-shattering roars shook the air.

He saw Tony, darting around nimbly, taking cheap shots at both Hulk and Abomination.

Then, in the very next instant, Hulk grabbed Abomination and slammed him like a sandbag, sending the monster flying!

But Henry's smile froze instantly.

His eyes widened.

He felt his anger boil over naturally—this time, he didn't need to force it.

"Oh, hell no. Please, no, no!"

Because Abomination's trajectory… was aimed squarely at Stark Tower.

"TONY! You idiot! Are you fighting with that alcohol-soaked brain of yours?!"

Tony didn't even reply—he could only cry out in despair.

"BOOM!!!"

Abomination's hulking body smashed into Stark Tower's ground floor, shattering glass and sending debris flying everywhere!

Henry immediately rushed over.

"Warning, sir! Your adrenaline levels are spiking rapidly…" Jarvis's voice echoed in his ear.

But Henry had no attention to spare.

His focus was elsewhere.

He stared into the fading dust cloud, muttering, "Please, no… not that… that was my baby…"

From within the smoke came a furious roar.

Abomination staggered back into view, holding in his hand the torn remains of a luxury sports car.

Even through the twisted wreckage, Henry recognized it—the signature hood, the wheels.

One of only two in the world. A priceless, hundred-million-dollar limited-edition masterpiece.

Henry drew in a deep breath.

Looking at what had once been one of his most treasured rides, now reduced to scrap…

His breathing grew heavier.

"Warning! Sir! Your physical stats are climbing exponentially! Exceeding baseline by 1x… 1.5x… 2x… 5x… 8x…"

Henry smiled.

But it was a cold smile.

His eyes began glowing a blinding crimson.

"Good." His voice was hoarse, chilling.

"My limited-edition car… only two in the world. And you smashed it?"

"Fine. Fine. FINE."

He grinned, his voice trembling with the fury bubbling just beneath the surface.

And yet, he wasn't losing control—he was embracing it.

Jarvis: "Sir! Readings are unstable! Danger threshold exceeded! Warning! Warning!"

The glow in Henry's eyes flared too bright to look at directly.

"Come then, freaks."

He looked at Hulk and Abomination, smiling with anticipation.

"Let's see who's really stronger."

The words had barely left his lips before he moved.

No sonic boom, no shockwave.

He simply… vanished.

An instant later, he reappeared right before Abomination—still raising the mangled car wreck triumphantly.

Too fast.

So fast that even Tony's high-speed battle suit cameras caught nothing.

So fast that Ross, Coulson, and every bystander thought they were hallucinating.

Abomination hadn't even reacted, hadn't even thrown the wreck aside—

When Henry's fist filled his vision.

"BANG!!!"

The monster's spike-covered skull snapped back violently, his massive 445-kg frame hammered straight into the earth like a nail!

"BOOM!!!"

The pavement collapsed outward in waves, splitting apart to reveal a crater ten meters wide.

At its center lay Abomination, limp and silent, too battered to even groan.

One strike.

Just one strike.

"Enjoy my car, did you?"

Henry slowly pulled his fist back, hovering above the crater.

Looking down on the broken beast below, his face betrayed no emotion—like he'd just swatted an annoying fly.

The battlefield fell into suffocating silence.

Every soldier, every agent, every witness stared blankly, unable to process what they had just seen.

"Oh my God…" From the helicopter, Betty Ross clasped her hands over her mouth in disbelief.

"This… this is…" General Ross's throat went dry as he gazed at the black figure floating in the sky.

"Director!" stammered an agent over Coulson's comms.

"Do we… still need to mop up?"

Coulson didn't answer.

He simply stood frozen, that usual polite smile wiped clean off his face.

Was this… Superman?!

"Hey, Henry." Tony's voice broke the silence from above.

"Don't you think you hit him a little too hard?"

"Really?" Henry turned toward the still-dazed green giant not far away.

"I'd say that was just the appetizer."

"ROAR!!!"

Hulk, enraged by Henry's dismissive gaze, bellowed furiously and charged like a runaway tank!

"Brainless fool."

This time, Henry didn't clash head-on.

He slipped past the thunderous punch with ease.

Hulk's fist hit only air, smashing the ground into a crater—yet Henry's clothes weren't even grazed.

"Too slow." Henry's voice whispered beside Hulk's ear.

The green monster swung again, but Henry was faster.

He slipped inside Hulk's guard, body pressed close—

Then unleashed a storm of strikes!

Jabs, hooks, elbows, knees—

A seamless martial arts combo fused with raw superhuman might!

Each blow landed precisely on weak points—joints, ribs, underarms.

"BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM!"

The pounding strikes forced Hulk back step by step, unable to defend, roaring in impotent rage!

"Too slow! Too dumb! You're like a bear that just rolled out of hibernation!" Henry taunted mid-attack.

"Honestly, even Happy fights better than you—at least he knows how to throw a turtle punch!"

With one final shove, Henry flipped backward, putting distance between them.

Then, rocketing forward again, he aimed straight for Hulk's head!

In midair, his legs snapped around Hulk's neck like steel clamps.

"Ever heard of the deadly scissor kick, big guy?"

Henry twisted his waist, yanking Hulk's entire massive body through the air—

"NOW STAY DOWN!"

"BOOM!!!"

Hulk's colossal frame slammed into the ground, carving yet another crater.

This time, the green giant didn't rise.

He lay still, eyes rolled back—completely unconscious.

The battle was over.

Hovering in the sky, Henry looked down at everyone below.

His black cape billowed without wind, crimson light burning in his eyes.
