The next two hours were a very boring lesson. Even for Silvia. Her extremely fast brain was basically incompatible with boring activities. That's why she was looking forward to the end of class, considering how many possible things could happen.
There are three things Silvia is looking forward to. The first is about how Jessey will start winning Waksi's heart. The second is how Waksi will react to it. And the third is about the auditions that will happen in the next few hours.
The classroom buzzed with energy as students settled into their seats after the class ended. Silvia sat at the back, her mind working overtime. Jessey had taken the bait, and now it was only a matter of time before her carefully laid plan started to unravel Waksi's world—and Jessey's too.
From the corner of her eye, Silvia saw Jessey whispering to her two friends. Their glances in her direction were sharp and full of malice. Silvia smirked and said, "Perfect. Let her think she's in control."
Soon Jessey brought a piece of chocolate cake to Waksi. She had an embarrassed smile on her face as she carried the pile of delicious desserts in her hands. When she arrived at the front of the bench, Jessey handed the cake to Waksi.
But the person who was given the cake just stared at her coldly on the bench without expression. As if waiting for further explanation from Jessey before Waksi accepted the cake. Learning from his previous mistake, it seemed that Waksi had already suspected that Jessey's good deed must have something behind it.
"What is this?" Waksi asked.
Jessey hid her embarrassed expression behind her bangs and said, "I wanted to give you this cake as an apology, Waksi. I realized that I was wrong for framing Silvia yesterday. I shouldn't have done that. But you know, I did it for your sake. I don't like it when you get close to other girls, especially Silvia. Yesterday, I just wanted to play a prank on her. I really didn't expect that she would actually give you the bean-laced drink. That's why I feel guilty, and I want to apologize. Take it."
Hearing Jessey's long-winded apology, Waksi's face grew even colder. Nevertheless, he accepted the cake.
"This cake doesn't contain peanuts, does it?" Waksi asked skeptically.
"Of course it doesn't. I guarantee you won't get any problems if you eat it," Jessey replied with a big smile.
"Fine, I'll take it." Waksi replied.
"Good, I hope you and I can get along better after this." Jessey's happiness exploded until it filled her facial expression. She almost hugged Waksi, but he stopped her.
Waksi then got up from his seat and went outside the classroom.
But as soon as Jessey was out of sight, Waksi's expression hardened. He glanced down at the cake box with disdain, his lips curling in annoyance. Without a second thought, he walked over to a nearby trash can and tossed the box inside, the lid flipping open to reveal the pristine cake inside.
Silvia, standing in the shadow of a nearby pillar, had seen everything. Her sharp eyes followed Waksi's every move, her lips curling into a small, satisfied smirk.
"So predictable," she thought.
"How long are you going to stand there, Silvia?" Waksi asked without turning around. The girl was immediately stunned, not expecting to be caught watching from a distance.
Guiltily, Silvia walked closer to Waksi. Her head was bowed to the floor very awkwardly.
"What exactly are you and Jessey up to?" Her boyfriend asked.
"What do you mean? I'm not planning anything." Silvia replied in an almost inaudible voice.
"Don't lie. When you were talking to Jessey in the hallway earlier, there must have been something going on. The fact that you come back to class with a big smile makes me sure that you're up to something. Now answer me, what plans are you actually putting together right now?"
"You're talking as if you already know me. Even if Jessey and I make plans, it's none of your business. And I have no obligation to tell you." Silvia replied curtly. She seemed to be planning to challenge Waksi this time.
Hearing all that, Waksi was a little taken aback. He was surprised that his question would end up getting such a challenging answer. But the young man was self-conscious. What Silvia said was true, what she was doing was none of Waksi's business. And Silvia had no obligation to tell Waksi everything that was on the girl's mind since their relationship was a fake one.
But still, Waksi's ego was too big to be silenced by such a defiant statement from Silvia's mouth. So he said, "I don't care what you want to do, that's up to you. I just don't want to get involved in your and Jessey's game. The last time I interfered with you two, I ended up in the hospital."
"Don't worry, this isn't something that will harm you. In fact, if we succeed, we can both be free from the bondage of our parents' business agreement," Silvia explained.
Waksi just snorted and said, "Whatever. Let's go home."
They both continued to walk towards the exit. But when his girlfriend's footsteps disappeared, Waksi realized that he had been walking alone all along. Silvia stood in front of the classroom door without taking a single step.
"The door is this way," Said Waksi, pointing at the exit door.
"Well, about that," said Silvia, "You can go home first. I still have some business to do."
"And what is that?"
Silvia was reluctant to say what was on her mind. She kept her mouth shut with eyes that dared not look directly at Waksi.
"Don't tell me that you want to audition for the modeling competition?" Waksi's words immediately guessed the contents of his girl's mind.
"Well, I don't. I just wanted to take a quick look. It's rare to see a live modeling search like this."
Waksi was getting fed up, and he quickly walked back to Silvia with his breath catching.
"Is this part of the plan you're working on with Jessey?" Waksi asked.
"No, it's just pure desire on my part." Silvia replied in a dubious tone.
The girl's behavior had already raised suspicions in Waksi's eyes. The young man's feelings had been confused by his girlfriend's behavior, and now Silvia was acting again with a purpose that Waksi couldn't predict. This frustrated him.
"Are you planning on going to the audition? If that's true, you'd better get rid of that thought before you regret it. There's no way a stiff girl like you can be selected to model for a famous clothing company." Waksi said, trying to see where Silvia's mind was going.
However, the girl seemed excited and replied, "That's what you think. What if I could be selected without having to audition at all?"
"What are you talking about? What kind of crazy person can win a competition without entering it?"
Silvia turned around without saying a word. Then she turned her head to the side and smiled, a sly smile full of plans and calculations. Then she said to Waksi, "I don't care if you don't believe me. But if I get chosen as a model, you have to shut up and accept it."
