Cafeteria.
Victor gnawed on corn, ate it clean, casually threw it away, pulled out paper to wipe his mouth, then looked at Casare, emergency team's Harrison, and EDM's Kennedy Heisenberg in front of him. The three who'd been called over were still somewhat confused.
"I've been transferred to Guadalupe Island as police chief."
The three immediately fell silent.
Victor looked at them, "Don't you have anything to ask?"
"Boss, where is Guadalupe Island?" Casare scratched his head.
"West of the Baja California Peninsula."
Casare nodded, patting his chest, "Then wherever boss goes, I go."
This guy was also smart, knowing it was safer to stay with Victor.
Victor nodded slightly, looking at Harrison sitting to one side, "I plan to recommend you as Altiplano Prison warden."
"Me?"
Harrison was genuinely stunned. He'd originally thought Victor was going to ask if he wanted to follow him, since the other had shown appreciation for him several times.
Honestly, Harrison was very tempted.
"This... I'm just a sergeant."
"That's not a problem in Mexico, Harrison. All you need to answer is whether you're willing or not."
Mexican police ranks meant jack shit. As long as it wasn't particularly outrageous, stuff some money in and the bigshots would be happy.
Harrison wasn't an idiot. He understood why Victor was willing to help him.
But with this opportunity right in front of him, if he didn't take it he might never encounter such a chance again in his lifetime. Any hesitation would be disrespectful to his money prospects.
"Boss, you have the final say!" Harrison climbed up the offered pole.
Casare glanced at him.
Victor had a cigarette in his mouth. Harrison quickly stood up to light it for him, "Boss, what do I need to do?"
"Just keep the prison from getting chaotic. After collecting sanitation fees monthly, hand them over to Casare. For other things, I'll arrange them if needed."
Altiplano Prison was Victor's "mine." If he ever ran short of points, he could randomly pull out a few to "tender" to death. And if nothing unexpected happened, for at least twenty years this prison would still be Mexico's preferred choice for housing serious criminals.
This was called sustainable development.
Harrison nodded "obediently."
Victor looked at Kennedy Heisenberg. After all, this was a character he'd exchanged for - he trusted him most, "Tonight we're going out."
The other didn't ask why.
Just nodded firmly.
...
Carrisco Bar.
Prison Management Bureau Deputy Director Pierluigi was swaying wildly in the dance floor.
Two bodyguards sat not far away.
Moreover, looking at his mouth corner still stained with white powder particles - wasn't this drugs?
A Mexican high official coming to party and doing coke?
And obviously high, his dance moves becoming very swaying.
After one song, Pierluigi felt a soft body approach him. He looked closely - it was a woman.
She startled and quickly turned back to apologize.
Any woman looked especially beautiful under this bar's "fresh lighting."
Moreover, Pierluigi was already high, finding her very pretty. He struck what he thought was a gentlemanly pose, then smiled, "May I ask you for a dance?"
The woman smiled "shyly," placing her hand on his shoulder.
What happened next was simple. The high Pierluigi took the woman out to get a room. When those two bodyguards tried to follow, he sent them away.
Just as he'd "finished business" and was snorting with the woman, the room door was suddenly kicked open, scaring him... his balls shrank. He hurriedly looked back and saw a fully armed team charging in. He'd never forget the leader even if he turned to ash.
"Victor! What are you doing!"
Pierluigi grabbed the blanket and shouted loudly.
"I heard someone was raping a woman. I came to see. Deputy Director, didn't expect it was you."
Rape?
Pierluigi hurriedly explained, "No, absolutely not. If you don't believe me, ask her." He pulled the woman beside him.
The woman immediately started crying, "He threatened me. He said he was very powerful in Mexico City. If I didn't service him, he'd kill my whole family. I had no choice..."
Pierluigi's scalp immediately tingled. Frantically he said, "Bitch, what are you saying!"
He reached out to hit her.
Two EDM members held him down.
"You're still committing violence in front of me? Pierluigi, didn't expect you were this kind of person!" Victor's face was dark, then he turned to Kennedy Heisenberg behind him, "Did you record it?"
The other made an OK gesture.
Then turned off the video camera. The woman who'd been crying desperately immediately stopped when she saw the machine turn off, got up from bed laughingly, dressed in front of everyone, then took a stack of pesos Victor handed her, smiling happily.
"Thank you officer, you can find me again if needed." The woman left with the money, not forgetting to blow a kiss, and not forgetting to stuff the drugs from the table into her bag - this was blatant.
Pierluigi immediately understood, jumped up, pointed at him and cursed, "Bastard, you're framing me!"
"Sir, when you're old don't come out to play. Don't you know the world is dangerous?"
Victor smiled, reaching out to pinch his face, "I'll tell you, from the first moment I saw you acting high and mighty, I wanted to kill you."
"Don't think about positions that don't belong to you. Don't you know one wrong step leads to all wrong steps?"
"Moreover, what I hate most in this lifetime are officials connected with drugs. You forgot to wipe your mouth corner."
Victor's smile disappeared, "Next life don't touch drugs, be a good person!"
He walked out the door. Kennedy Heisenberg pulled out a knife and walked over.
Snap.
Victor leaned against the wall smoking a cigarette. Soon, Kennedy walked out, nodded at him, knife still dripping blood.
At this time, footsteps also came from the stairwell. Two EDM members ran over, handing him the cash they'd grabbed.
Victor took the phone from Kennedy Heisenberg and called Alejandro: "Mr. Pierluigi was killed by a female drug dealer. I shot her dead on the spot."
Alejandro on the other end suddenly fell silent, then spoke, "I understand."
"I've already arranged it. If nothing unexpected happens, the other deputy director will take my position. Altiplano Prison is still yours."
"Thank you, sir."
...
What Victor hated most were drugs. Scum like Pierluigi - even if he really "raped," under corruption he'd be fine.
As for using drugs, this was too common in Mexico.
Only by destroying his flesh could his soul be reorganized.
Victor exhaled a smoke ring.
"Mi tiempo se acerca! (My time is coming!)"
