Now that I have some free time, I can finally do what I do best. Shitposting and ragebaiting on the internet.
The young man walks slowly in the extracurricular building's hallway. With every one of his trainees training, the young man finally has some free time for himself. He doesn't necessarily meet such blissful occasions after becoming a full-blown trainer.
Or should I research how to make my trainees better? Hmm… What can I even do anyway? I read all of the available books and have crafted a menu for all of them. Is there something else that I can improve?
"The student council has already given you a plot, Tosho. You are not allowed to plant on this one."
"YADA!! YADA!! YADA!! I need more space for all of my herbs!!"
"Then decrease the quantity of the other herbs, Tosho."
"YADA!! YADA!! YADA!!"
The young man walks next to the communal gardens. The communal gardens are where students are given a plot of land for them to grow whatever they want. Unlike the actual school garden that the cafeteria staff use, this garden is smaller, but the variety is simply mind-boggling.
It's Air Groove, the pun hater, and Sweep Tosho, the sexiest mare.
"I need all of them for my cauldron!!"
"You can't have all of them, Tosho."
"Then why do you have three plots?!?!?! You're misusing your position!!"
"Or… I registered my request way ahead of you, Tosho. There's a gap of three months between our plot acquisition, Tosho."
"YADA!! YADA!! YADA!! I want more!!"
It seems that Air Groove is in trouble with Yada-yada. A proper adult would help, but sadly for Air Groove, I'm not.
The young man comfortably leaves the married-woman-looking teenager to deal with the little creature on her own. The sexiest mare is pretty well-known to be a pain in the ass to train, and the young man already has Goldship to deal with, he isn't going to make his days more troublesome. It's not like he owes her his life or anything like that.
"I need to plant these herbs to make a blue rose, which I would use for my new spell."
"..."
A blue rose… Something that Rice Shower loves…
"Hmm? What's going on here?"
The young man quickly teleports behind Air Groove and Tosho the moment his evil little heart picks up a bait that he can use to get Rice Shower. He is very determined to turn his fate against its own ass and get Rice Shower into his team, even though the author is planning that in a far future chapter. He wants her now.
"Ah… You are trainer Igo, correct?"
"Yes. I'm surprised you know me, Air Groove. This is the first time we met, right? You're not some sort of long-lost childhood friend of mine, right?"
"No. Don't worry. Your memory has not wronged you this time. This is our first time."
Air Groove's proximity to Rudolph allows her to know plenty of trainers currently working inside Tracen Academy. She rarely makes an effort to remember all of their names except for the remarkable ones, and Igo Heita is among those. Being a rookie trainer, contracted several trainees, made a team, and have those trainees succeed in multiple races so far. It's rare to see someone so new, yet have gained so much. It's no wonder that people are keeping their eyes on him, including Rudolph. Although Air Groove wasn't sure if Rudolph had the young man's best intentions in mind.
"Is there something that I can help with here?"
"It's okay. This is something we both can resolve amongst ourselves. There's no need for you to make time in your busy schedule."
"Nonsense. A proper, well-adjusted adult can't simply walk away when someone is in danger. Besides, aren't you also busy with the student council's work, Air Groove? It's not good to be a hypocrite, you know?"
"Fuh~ Fine."
"So what's the problem here, Tosho?"
"I need more land to plant my herbs, but Air Groove won't give me!"
"Hmm…"
The young man looks over Sweep Tosho's plot. It's less of a garden and more like an overgrown bed of soil. He can distinguish that these plants are all special and not native to the local here, but their growth overlaps, so it looks like they're just some random weeds on the ground.
"It does look crammed, huh?"
"See!! That's why I want more land!"
"You can't take over someone else's plot, Tosho. That is breaking the rule."
"There are some ways we can resolve the situation. You can go around and ask the owner of the plots around yours to give you their plot, ask the academy to expand the communal garden, or build a vertical garden or something like that."
"But wouldn't a vertical garden disturb the other plots?"
"I doubt it'll be that much that it will cause the plants to wither. Besides, it might also inspire more students to build their own vertical gardens. The number of plants would increase, no? Or can you ask the chairwoman to expand the communal garden, Air Groove?"
"A request from the President would hold more weight, Trainer Igo."
"Well, I guess we can wait on that. In the meantime, go ahead and build a vertical garden on your own plot, Tosho."
"Eeehhhh~~ Do I have to?"
Keep acting bratty like that, and I'll cuck both Duramente and Kitasan Black.
"Yes. If you're a good girl, I'll show you a special magic that I'm sure you've never seen."
"Eeeh~~ How do you know? My grandma is a powerful witch, you know?"
"I can see the purity in your eyes. My magic is dark and corrupting. You will never be the same if you already see it, Tosho."
"Eh!? Dark magic! I want it!! Show me!!"
"Then you better listen to me. It'll take plenty of preparation, though. So let's grab the materials to build your garden."
"Oookkaaayy~~"
"Now, I leave the permit to you then, Air Groove."
"I would love it if we could talk things out before deciding things on your own."
"We'll have plenty of time to talk while we're building the garden, Air Groove. Or, do you prefer to hear crying in the background of our talk?"
"Cornering me like this… You're a sly man, trainer Igo."
"I'm sorry for destroying the white knight in your mind, Air Groove. Now, if you excuse me, I have some stuff to get. Come, Tosho."
The young man grabs Tosho's tiny body and puts her on his shoulder. Unlike with Teio, he doesn't need to worry about Tosho suffocating him.
Air Groove could only watch as the young man and Tosho walked off. The image of Igo Heita in her mind had completely changed from just one single encounter with him. For others, Air Groove is simply a gate to influence the direction of the academy's decision. Unbeknownst to them, Air Groove won't be where she is if she is that blind and stupid. Regardless of how well-behaved they are, Air Groove would wave them off once their real nature is out.
So why does this man just tell her what he really wants? He just outright told the student council's vice president to give him the permit to build without even putting up a request first. Does he not understand politics? Or is he that stupid that he thinks Air Groove would let him do as he pleases? Or is Air Groove the stupid one for even thinking to give him the permit?
"Ufufufu~~ Idiot…"
Why is she smiling when someone had just forced her hand to give him what he wanted? Shouldn't she be angry? That man has stupidly destroyed his image inside Air Groove's mind, destroying his chance of even influencing the inner core of the academy. Perhaps the absurdity of just how stupid he is baffles Air Groove, so she can't help but feel moved by it.
When she heard of him, she thought that he was a serious, disciplined, and well-educated man, but the reality slapped her hard on the face by showing just how unserious, lax, and stupid he is.
Being slapped like this once in a while… isn't so bad.

"Alright. This magic will create a clone version of yourself. It does take some time, though… If we start now, then you'll get to meet your chi–clone nine months from now."
"Eh?! Nine months!! But that's too long!!"
"It's a high-level dark magic, Tosho. It's not some random magic that you can cast on an afternoon."
"Mmmhhh… Fine!! What else do we need to do other than build a garden, though?"
"After we built the vertical garden, let's find a hotel just for the two of us."
"Eh? Why hotel?"
"What I'm going to tell you is a powerful secret, we need some secluded place where no one will be eavesdropping on us."
