Chapter 130 - Chapter 130: The True Gold

"Hmm~~ Hmmm~~ Hmm~~ That should do it."

Another weekend has come, which means that it's the scheduled visit to Gold City's apartment. The umamusume in question is busy preparing herself, like a housewife who is about to greet her husband after a day of work.

"Mmhh~~ Mmh! Ah!"

Now it's time to wait at the door.

The supermodel waltzed her way out of her bedroom and to the door of her apartment. There, she stands patiently, waiting for the bell to ring. She hates to wait, but for her darling, she will wait for a thousand years.

*Ding* *Dong*

*Clack* *Creak*

"Welcome home, darling."

"... It seems that I have entered the wrong room."

"No, you're not, dummy~ Fufufufu~~"

The wife grabs the husband, forces him into the apartment, and locks the door. She hugs her husband's arm and guides him into the kitchen, rather than the bedroom, like usual.

"You said you were waiting for your darling to come home, right? That can't be me."

"Of course, it's you. No one else in the world deserves that title from me other than you."

"Your trainer?"

"And that is you."

Reaching the kitchen, the young man was surprised by a lavish meal fit for a king. A meal of celebration. A meal that a hero would come home to after slaying the demon king and marrying his elf girlfriend.

"You said to bring spare clothes. You never said anything about not eating dinner."

"You can eat as little as you want, as long as you eat something, it's fine with me. I can gobble the rest up or put them in the fridge."

"I see… What's the occasion?"

The husband sits down, confused, and the wife sits next to him. He doesn't know what Gold City is celebrating since the one who won the Derby was McQueen. Did she win something else that he doesn't know? There are plenty of awards that he barely keeps in touch with, so the possibilities are always there.

"Hehehe~~ Read this!"

The wife boastfully shows her phone to the husband, which showcases a lot of comments calling Gold City a runner.

"Oh wow! You've taken a step toward your goal."

"I know, right!! It doesn't seem as distant as it used to be!"

"Although some of them are pretty weird…"

"Yeah… But they still call me a runner, though!"

"Congratulations, Gold City. I know you can do it."

"You don't need to tell me that, darling. Did you not hear the audio?"

"Huh?"

"KEEP RUNNING, GOLD CITY!!!"

"That's you, isn't it? Hehehe~~"

"It managed to capture my voice amongst the fanfare, huh?"

"To you, maybe not. But to me, your voice was the only thing I heard that day. The light that believes in me when even myself has lost all hope. An anchor I can always depend on for being there for me. Someone who believes in me, more than I believe in myself."

"...That's nice. Your will is still weak, Gold City. You're not going to convince more people that you're a good runner if you keep giving up midway through a race just because you're not in the front. A warrior isn't called a warrior even if he depart to the battlefield but flees midway. A coward can be called a warrior even if all he does is support, as long as he stays in the battle even when the prospect looks grim. People might not want to believe it, but everyone can see spirit and motivation, even through a digital camera."

"Yeah… I've never looked this intense before. This is the first time I ever truly given it all, and the result is amazing!! I didn't win, but everyone started believing in me."

"See, Gold City? The only person you need to make your dream a reality is you. As long as the runner named Gold City burns through her everything on every race, people would surely start getting behind you."

"No… I need you. Hey darling, do you know what I would change if I had a time machine?"

"Quite the leap, but what is it?"

"It's not the fact that I'm going to tell my past self to run as if her life is on the line, but to wait for a certain young man to become my trainer."

"Yeah. Senior Muyaku, right?"

"Fufufu~~ No, idiot. Igo Heita is the name of that young man. I will tell my past self to wait for him, even if she has to wait for nine winters and nine summers, because the reward he will bring to us will be worth ten thousand winters and ten thousand summers."

"You could've done this with Senior Muyaku, Gold City. As I said, it's you who–"

*Grab*

"Mmh!!"

"Mmhhh~~"

The wife stops the husband from finishing his words by grabbing his collar and smacking her lips on his.

"I will drown you in my saliva if you keep being a blockhead, my darling."

"Cough! Cough! Quite the violent wife you would make."

"And quite the bastard husband you will be. But that means we would be fit for each other, and talking about married life. I have something else to tell you."

"What's that?"

"I decide to promise you my V-card."

"COUGH!! COUGH!! What the fuck, woman?!? Did you know what you're saying?!?!"

"Yeah. You will be my first time, right? Isn't that it?"

"It does, but seriously, me? Do you not have more suitable partners out there? You surely have met a much more handsome man than me."

"I'm gonna be honest. You're handsome if you start tidying yourself up. You have been using the clothes I bought you, right? Or should I start picking your clothes for you?"

"I'm not a child. I can take care of myself, thank you very much."

"You don't look like it. Either way, I have made up my mind, and I'll stay a virgin until you take it from me."

"What if I didn't take it for the rest of your life?"

"Then I'll die a virgin, easy enough."

"That's… Oh my Goddesses… Why did it end like this? What if I want to take it while you were doing your end-of-race concert?"

"Oohh~~ Kinky~~ That could be fun. I have gotten used to people's stares, but that might bring back the sensation again."

"Oh for the love of the Goddesses… I give up."

"Fufufu~~ So are we going to do it tonight?"

"Fuck no… After you graduate or something like that."

"It's yours, so you pick the time. I'll service you anywhere at any time. Now let's eat, darling~~~"
