Whoosh—
In the green subspace, a sharp sonic crack split the air.
High over the emerald sea, an afterimage streaked like an arrow, like a meteor, carving a rapid path through the sky.
Cloudlets born from torn air blossomed like petals, bursting again and again in midair.
Look closely and you'd see the gaps between those "clouds" spanned dozens of meters at least.
Those clouds were the product of Moon Step.
In other words, Yami was running through the sky, each step carrying him dozens of meters.
At such speed and distance, even a master of Moon Step could only eat his dust.
He wasn't running through the air so much as flying.
"This is the speed I wanted!"
Against the tremendous drag, Yami laughed aloud.
He was in a thirtyfold speed state.
His Moon Step velocity had been multiplied by thirty, creating fierce air resistance that would make an ordinary body miserable.
But the born monster felt no discomfort, only exhilaration.
Moon Step allowed flight, yes, but its running speed in the air was far too slow, nothing like true flight.
Now that flaw was finally patched. His running speed in the sky no longer differed from flying at all.
He'd needed a dinghy earlier to close the distance. On the way back, he simply ran on Moon Step.
"Master, you're back!"
"Master, did you get the More-More Fruit?"
An hour later, Yami returned to the island where Karina and Nami were.
The three girls were off adventuring in subspace, eyeing a bear so big it dwarfed all three of them put together.
When Yami descended from the sky, Karina and Nami hurried over, eyes shining.
"Yeah. That ability is mine now."
He ruffled their hair, smiling.
"Great! Master just got stronger again."
"Master, can you show me the amplification?"
"No problem."
Instead of using the More-More power at once, he waved Robin over from not far away and opened an air door back to the real world.
"Rrrroar—"
The moment they stepped out, the giant bear noticed them.
With a thunderous bellow, it lunged straight at them.
The girls didn't flinch, calmly watching the charging mass.
As the bear closed, Yami stepped in to meet it, seized its body with a speed it couldn't even register, and hurled it overhead with a shoulder throw.
The enormous bulk traced a high arc over the girls and crashed to the ground.
"Nami, got any coins on you?"
"I do, but only fifty-Beli pieces."
"That's enough. Give me one."
Nami placed a stamped 50 coin in his palm.
Yami flipped the coin once, then snapped his fingers at the bear as it clambered back up.
"Amplify—One Hundred Times Coin!"
A shriek of air tore past the girls' ears.
Yami flicked the coin.
The instant it left his fingers, a transparent aura wrapped it. Under that halo, the coin's size swelled one hundredfold.
Ordinarily, magnifying a coin's volume a hundred times would boost its weight a hundred times as well, keeping it from flying far.
But the aura carried the force of a rule. It increased the coin's size and weight one hundredfold and multiplied the force and speed of Yami's flick one hundredfold as well.
His flick carried the technique of the Six Powers' Finger Pistol.
Even without the hundredfold amplification, a bear struck by that coin would have been holed through.
Now the killing blow's power had been magnified a hundred times over.
Karina, Nami, and Robin watched a scene that left them dumbfounded.
The coin, now the size of a shell, flew faster than a sniper's round and punched through the bear in an eyeblink.
A heartbeat later the beast's upper body burst like a balloon.
It didn't just leave a great cavity. It blew the bear's entire upper half apart.
And the coin didn't stop. It kept ripping forward, shearing every tree and boulder in its line.
In the end, that shell-sized coin carved a clear corridor of destruction and flew off the island.
"..."
Staring at the wrecked landscape, Karina and Nami were wide-eyed, mouths open, too stunned even to gasp.
Even Robin's steady gaze rippled.
As a child of eight she had seen Akainu's volcanic salvos and Aokiji's Ice Age. The elemental spectacle hadn't struck as hard as Yami's single shot.
He'd merely flicked a coin and erased everything ahead.
No tree, no rock, nothing could bar it.
How much piercing power and impact would it take to do that?
If that strike landed on a person, what would be left?
Perhaps the same end as the bear that had just been blown apart.
"Good grief. A hundredfold amplification on a weapon's power, huh?"
Even Yami was surprised.
In earlier trials, when he used the More-More power on his own body, he could enlarge himself and then keep using speed or strength amplification.
But he'd found that in a giant state he could only run one amplification at a time.
If he magnified strength, he couldn't magnify speed.
If he magnified speed, he couldn't magnify strength.
Only by becoming even bigger could he wield the size-boosted power and speed-magnification together.
Perhaps that limit would vanish after awakening, allowing him to multiply at will like Nika.
On external objects, however, the More-More Fruit had no such restriction.
Once covered by More-More force, an object's power, speed, volume, and weight could all be increased one hundredfold at the same time.
In that moment, Yami finally grasped what "World Destroyer" really meant.
No wonder someone as weak as Byrnndi World could force Sengoku and Garp to join with CP and pirates to bring him in.
The weapon amplification of this Fruit was too outrageous, too terrifying.
If Yami had high-tech arms in hand, the strategic deterrence of this Fruit would rival the Quake-Quake Fruit and the Float-Float Fruit.
