It was a nice Christmas, in just one day he came nearer to all of his cousins then he ever did in his whole life, but now it's time to go to this party he got invited to, he is going to see many people from his school and neighborhood again, he would've lie if he says that he isn't nervous.
"Heh, why am I suddenly so nervous? I haven't felt this in a long time, and I did anything besides missing it."
And only a few more thoughts, he arrived.
"Let's see who is there?"
As he walked in, he saw many familiar faces, all around him, there were also faces he remembers way too well.
"I already expected them to be there…those girls, there are not wolves in sheep clothing, they don't hide themselves…"
He looked around even more, he saw the ones that invited him, he greeted them and was talking a bit with them, they still were shocked that he actually came!
He knew almost everyone at this party, but almost none knew him; except some who knew him for only negative things.
"I really wonder if they recognize me and if, what are they going to do? Beside this something else is weird since I am here, I don't see any ropes, I saw the ropes from my step mother but since we are here, not anymore, this doesn't makes sense at all, is this ability only active or possible in Japan?"
"I should focus me more on this now, hu, she is also here, the girl that forced to ask me for my number…"
It felt as if Julian was suddenly doing it without thinking, he was just going up to her.
"Hey, haven't seen us in a while."
As she saw him, her eyes teared wide open because of shock, her legs visible began to shake, she didn't know what to say beside "I am so sorry…" She didn't look him into his eyes; he already knew that she didn't want to do it.
"I know that you didn't want to do it, I also know who forced you to."
She was happy about that he knew it, a short quiet "Thanks…" And she went somewhere else to the house.
"Heh, are they going to do it?"
The party was going on like this for a while, he quickly found a few people he spends time with but there he saw him, he almost burst out laughing. "Jason!"
"The guy who was extremely popular in the whole school only to be exposed that he spread rumors and had multiple girlfriends at once "he looks insecure, not as confident as back then, he was even in my class, I was never at such a party but when he was famous he surely was surrendered by people, but now he was all alone, should I go up to him?"
He thought for a while, it wasn't as he was air, it was more as everyone tried to avoid him in every way possible, if its eye contact, physical distance or in other ways "If I would spend time with him it would surely look bad, but how much do I care about my popularity here? I don't care about popularity here!"
He went up to him "Looks like you aren´t as popular as back then."
"Who are you…wait I remember you! Julian, right? We were in the same class, right?!"
"Your right, I also remember well when you got exposed, didn't really surprised me if you ask me, I remember that everyone was avoiding you, but so bad?"
"Yeah, looks like it, but where are you now? After the year was over you suddenly disappeared?"
"My father needs to be in Japan because of work, so I went with him."
They still talked for a while, there he noticed that he isn't as bad as in his memories, did he maybe also change?
"I have a question for you, why did you do all this stuff back then, you know what I mean."
"I already expected that you ask, I don't know why to be honest, it just felt as back then no one could do something against me, it felt as I am untouchable, as you can see, I am not."
They still talked a bit, but he noticed something, it felt as if he had changed, right after he thought something happened that he waited for so long already, his revenge.
Julian and Jason were in the backyard of the house, the girls walked out, one of them saw Julian.
"Hey, don't you remember this guy, the one phone prank we did, y´all remember?"
"Wait, yes, didn't he disappear after that?"
"Yeah, he was probably just so ashamed of it, Hehehe."
"And he is even chilling with Jason, what a looser!"
They began to laugh a bit, Jason became nervous and looked at Julian, but he wasn't calm too, Jason had the feeling that he would hold back his excitement or even his laugh, Julian stood up.
"Why are you laughing?" He said serios.
"Don't you remember when we called you when this one girl asked you for your number, Haha!"
"Of course, I remember but I don't get I why it is funny to be a little asshole?"
After that they became silent, they knew Julian and didn't expect him to say something like this.
"Whatever, at least we are not falling for such a dumb thing, Hehe!"
"So, you admitted that it was dumb, I thought it was funny?"
One of the girls went up to Julian, she threw a punch at him, the only right thing for him in his situation was to smile provocative "Heh, what should've been this if it was done?"
She got even more angry and became even more physical and louder, after time there were even spectators, they were more aggressive than she became, and the more Julian provoked the more got seen as the winner in this conflict.
It got so boring over time that once she stopped for a while because she was exhausted, he just went to Jason and asked "Hey, still want to go somewhere else?"
"Sure…BEHIND YOU!!!"
He even turned his back to her and just went one or two steps to his right without even turning around, she wanted to tackle him but just slammed against the wall from the house, she gave up after this, she did not say this, she just quickly ran away after this.
So, the two still went for a walk, Julian found the new Jason not just amusing, he actually liked him a bit."
"You asked me if I changed, look what happened with you! You changed much, Julian back how I knew, he never would've had the confidence to do this, you know? What happened? I got exposed, that made me change, was it the girls that changed you because they talked about some prank?"
"Your right, me back then wouldn't be able to do that, but I was still nervous, I don't know what made me change but this prank was probably one thing, but adding still some other things just probably did it."
"Back then I was an asshole, I don't think I need to tell you, did I ever do something to you?"
"Actually, I don't think so, I think I was to uninteresting for you back then, but I have advice for you if you want to, if you are done with school, move somewhere different, I couldn't change that much if I would've stayed here, best would be if you even move to a different country, like me."
"To be honest, I already planned on doing this, but don't tell anyone."
"Sure…"
After going for a walk for about an hour they decided to go home.
"I really didn't think that he changed that much, but also no one expected me to change that much."
He needed to walk long before arriving at his grandparents' place, he fell into thoughts, the past, it felt as if he was there again.
"I really wonder how kindergarten is?"
His young self-went in, he was a bit shy but kind, already at the beginning he got bullied, but never said anything to anyone.
This did not only start it how he was, but it also repeatedly happened over and over again.
Some thoughts later he was back, earlier than his family expected, in the backyard he heard someone talking, he easily heard that it was his father and grandmother.
"Is he crying?"
He focused on what exactly they say.
"I don't think I am able to beat it…"
"Don't worry, you are going to do it, you know you can always ask me and your father for help."
"But what if I can't beat the cancer? Julian is probably smart and skilled enough to lead the company, but he is way to young that it's probably even allowed legally, beside that I don't know anyone who I trust but also has the ability to do it."
