Chapter 7 - Chapter 7- Cycle

Creation mythos are vast and numerous — tales of gods, heroes, and beasts that shaped the world. Drawing from memories of his past life, Ji Chen decided to forge a race that would become the living mythos of the Third Universe.

He began with two materials. The first was a handful of primeval clay. When he infused it with a spark of creation flame, the clay twisted, folded, and reshaped beneath the heat. Once cooled, it had transformed into a new substance — [Chaos Alloy], the hardest material in existence.

With this alloy, Ji Chen forged ten thousand beings: the first of the divine races. Their bodies gleamed like living metal, each bearing a unique sigil etched into the palm — a mark of identity and law. He named them the Ying Divine Race and charged them with guarding ancient secrets, guiding the lost, and protecting the Third Universe.

As the first creations, they were gifted the traits [Overseers] and [Undying], granting them immortality and divinity. Each was born at the tenth tier, already attuned to a fragment of divine law.

To maintain order among them, Ji Chen embedded a rule within their souls: [Judgment and Order]. Within the Ying Race, three great factions took form. The first faction, made up of the Yang's descendants, would be the Royal Family that ruled the Divine Realm.

The second faction, The Enforcers of Law, upheld Ji Chen's decrees, punishing those who defied divine order. They were led by Undying Monarch Yang, whom Ji Chen raised to the rank of God-King. The third faction, the Fate and Reincarnation Council, guided mortal souls back to the Cradle of Essence, where Enra would cleanse and renew them.

These three were not the only divisions of the Ying Race — merely the ones with the most authority and strength.

For the second divine race, Ji Chen used the celestial-grade material [ageless mud] heated and formed under the [divine flame]. Their forms were smaller but honed for battle. Each member carried two purple-grade traits: [Battle Demon] and [Unbreaking Will]. Once their number reached ten thousand, he granted them territory within the Divine Realm, naming them the Divine Demon Race — the second royal lineage of the heavens.

Their leader, Cang, was crowned Heaven-Stepping Battle Goddess, Empress of the Northern and Southern Domains.

Fifty thousand years later, the two races ushered the Divine Realm into its Celestial Era. Both leaders reached Tier 15, earning the right to attempt the Ancient Realm Trial. Upon success, they stood before the Nine Divine Creatures and were allowed to choose a master.

As he was the first to attain tier fifteen, he would choose first. Yang chose Enra, who is the origin of Yang's light attribute; Cang chose Suhur, whose divine flames flowed through her veins. It was a balance made perfect.

Satisfied, Ji Chen turned his gaze toward the Mortal Realm. There, he would craft four new races to populate the world below. The first was Humanity — born with a frail physique but a strong soul. As they were reminiscent of his own, He bestowed upon them one blue trait [Vast Reproduction], and two purple grade traits [Will] and [Potential], — the only race to hold three.

The second were the Amahime, dwelling in the southern stars of the Huiyan Galaxy, with vast multicolored wings that form law patterns as they evolve. Their hearts were blessed with the trait [Essence Heart], and their beauty reflected the ancient East of Ji Chen's former world.

For the third race, Ji Chen desired something entirely different. He raised his hand, and essence gathered like a storm above the Mortal Realm. A sphere of molten stone formed, glowing with divine pressure. Seizing the moment, he compressed its power until golden cracks formed along its surface — then shattered it.

From the fragments emerged beings neither flesh nor spirit: bodies of jade-green essence, eyes bright as stars. with large ears capable of perceiving lies and truths. and a mind that could see the sorrows in one's heart. hoping their presence safeguards the mortal realm. He named them the Shìlín-Ithul

They were elemental beings bound to the earth itself — beings who required no food, no rest, no air. Their power grew by resonating with the land; in time, they would merge with realms and planes, becoming living fortresses. Their innate traits were [Earthheart] and [Eternal Shell], granting endurance beyond decay. To protect the balance, Ji Chen limited their number to five.

"The mortal realm cannot bear too many of such beings," he murmured. "Five will be enough."

For the fourth race, he began by condensing a large amount of essence between his palms. With a simple squeeze, the essence shot out and spread all around him. Then, as if by submission, the essence shaped itself into a door. Sensing his approach, the door opened, and he stepped in.

Inside the door was a new plane of existence. At its center rested a well forged from Chaos Alloy, its waters reflecting infinite worlds.

From the reflections, Ji Chen drew strands of translucent essence and molded them into flowing forms — serpent-tailed, wing-finned, eyes of liquid silver. He named them the Haiyao, the Sea Spirits.

Their traits, [Fluid Adaptation] and [Untainted Memory], allowed them to evolve with each tide and inherit fragments of their ancestors' wisdom. Their evolution would shift with each great cyle — ever-changing, yet perfectly ordered.

When the work was done, Ji Chen stood within the Creation Realm and looked upon his children: the divine Ying, the fierce Divine Demons, and the four mortal successors — Humans, Amahime, Shìlín, and Haiyao. Each race had its place, its destiny, its balance.

Together, they formed the Foundation of Life within the Third Universe.

[System Notice] [Race Creation Complete — 6/6]

[Population Distribution Stable]

[Beginning Essence Cycle Simulation…]

[Congratulations] [Reward]: Activation of the Time Skip Card

[Details]: With the completion of the first races within the Third Universe, the system has forcefully activated protocol [Main Quest].

Ji Chen paused. He hadn't scheduled a Main Quest. The system had never moved without his input. "It's too soon," he muttered. "The Soul Ladder still needs testing…"

The display pulsed again.

[Main Quest Initialization]

[Beginning Countdown]

[Main Quest]: Vessel Descent Mission

[Details]: Deploy the Creator's consciousness into a physical vessel to conduct direct observation and calibration of the Third Universe.

[Estimated Duration — 3 billion years]

Ji Chen leaned back on the Throne of Creation. It was logical — field tests revealed what calculations could not. Through this, he can test the limits the first-generation souls can handle, since right now tier fifteen is the max on the ladder — but he had not expected this yet. Still, a forced protocol left no room for denial.

Before descending, he created a divine bird from the last drop of ageless mud. Through it, he sent word of his slumber to the Nine Divine Creatures. Once delivered, the bird became a vast veil that sealed the Creation Realm. He also forged nine soul artifacts, each of Immortal Grade, to serve as rewards for those who reached the stone pillars guarded by the Shìlín.

He exhaled softly. "… Let's see what happens three billion years."

He selected [Accept].

[Integrating Time Skip Card …]

[Chrono Compression Rate — 3 000 000 000: 1]

[Observation Mode: Enabled]

Light consumed everything. The Creation Realm folded in on itself like burning paper, collapsing into a single beam that pierced through the walls of reality. Time stretched—then broke. From the Throne, Ji Chen watched the Third Universe accelerate: stars blooming and dying in seconds, galaxies shifting, new worlds breathing.

New races arose naturally.

[Status Report]

[Chrono-Cycle Progress: 3 000 000 000 Years]

[Universe Growth Rate: 782 %]

[Soul Ladder Activity: Stable]

[Universal Balance: 99.7 % — Stable]

[Warning: Essence Deviation Detected (0.01 %)]

"Hmm… essence deviation?" He rested his chin on his hand and peered into the farthest edge of the Third Realm. There, faint and flickering, lay a tiny distortion. With such low corruption, he dismissed it — for now.

In the first billion years, the divine races ascended through god and immortal ranks, most reaching between Tiers 11 and 12. In the mortal realm, stars continued to form. Humanity discovered fire, awakening the first law of mortals. Through that spark, the first wave of soul evolution began.

Another notice blinked.

[Essence Deviation: 0.03 %]

The system hesitated, then chimed:

[Observation Recommended — Possible Anomaly Detected]

Ji Chen leaned forward, eyes narrowing. Something inside the third realm began to happen— a vibrational decay occurred. Even though it was still at a low percentage, the fact that the system notified him twice meant something. wanting to see what would happen if he left it to grow.
