Scene – At the guild counter tables, Yatrans stands up from his seat and starts heading outside.
Suzu (noticing): "Yatrans! Where are you going?" (shouts)Yatrans: "Ah, just going to do some practice." (soft tone)Suzu: "Can I come along?"Yatrans: "Not today. Maybe another time. Okay, bye."(Suzu looks a little sad as he leaves.)
Suzu: "…Alright." (sad tone)Toru: "So, you're free then?"Suzu: "!"Toru: "Want to come with me—"Suzu: "No need." (cold tone)
Scene – In the forest.Yatrans stands alone among the trees.
Yatrans: "Hahh… It's only been two days since I was summoned here in this jungle, and yesterday so many unexpected things already happened…"
He sits down on a stone.
Yatrans: "Okay, time to work on my skills. I have four nano-spiders. Yesterday, I recreated Yourna with some changes—like giving it nano-protection, so now it can recover itself. Not full recovery like Noa, but still useful. I also made some guns that can easily curve and fit even into small spaces, so I can carry them in my pocket. Then, I improved the nano itself—its speed and strength are greater than before. Plus, it now gains energy from hit-type attacks. It can even heal small cuts or pains in my body. Not bad."
A cold, peaceful breeze flows. No monsters nearby.
Yatrans: "Okay… let's also make a sword. Not from lesser steel… hmm, maybe obsidian."
He closes his eyes, imagines the design: a two-meter-long blade, half black and half white, with a brown-and-black handle, faint electricity running through it.
When he opens his eyes, the same sword is lying on the ground before him.
Yatrans: "No matter how many times I look at it… it's still awesome." (excited)
Suddenly, a fox with three tails appears.
Yatrans: "What?!" (sudden serious reaction)
He quickly grabs his sword, ready to fight—but the fox slowly approaches, then collapses before him.
Yatrans: "…!?" (confused)
He goes closer, flips the fox, and sees a large wound on its chest, blood pouring out.
Yatrans: "It needs my help!"
He quickly covers it with Noa, giving some relief, but the wound is too severe. Yatrans lifts the fox and runs toward the city.
At the guild, bursting in—
Yatrans: "HELP!" (serious, loud, tense)
Everyone turns, shocked.
Eui: "What happened, Yatrans—wait, that's a Three-Tail Fox!" (tense, serious)
Shock spreads through the guild.
Yatrans: "It has a huge chest wound! If the bleeding isn't stopped, it'll die from blood loss!"
Suzu grabs the fox and rushes to the medical room, where Sir Fufu and Sir Dugu are present.
Suzu: "Sir Fufu! Sir Dugu! Help!" (tense)Dugu: "What—…a Three-Tail Fox!" (tense, shocked)Suzu: "Please, save it!"
They begin treatment.
Fufu: "It's fine now. Just sleeping."Yatrans: "Good…" (relieved)
Suzu: "Why is it that whenever you show up, it's always with some beast—or covered in blood?!" (serious)Yatrans: "Sorry! It just appeared and collapsed in front of me, I couldn't help it."Suzu: "Hmph!" (turns away)
Dugu: "But still… it's a Three-Tail Fox." (serious)
Yatrans: "Is it dangerous?"Suzu: "Not just dangerous—it's rare. The fox race is deadly and rare. Even a Three-Tail isn't the most dangerous, but still… a small wound from it could wipe out a whole village."
Yatrans: "…! Then maybe bringing it here was a mistake?"Suzu: "…"Fufu: "No. If you hadn't brought it, it would've died. No matter how dangerous, my duty is to heal—unless it threatens us directly."
Yatrans: "I see."
Suddenly, the fox wakes up.
Dugu: "It's awake!" (serious)Everyone freezes, tense.
Yatrans calmly approaches.
Yatrans: "Hey little one, you okay now?" (gentle tone)
The fox nods happily.
Yatrans: "Whoa… it understands human language!"Suzu: "All beasts understand. The difference is, some can reply back."Yatrans: "Didn't know that!" (excited)
The fox touches Yatrans' face, showing its level.
Yatrans: "Ow… that's cute."Suzu: "Looks like it likes you."
Yatrans: "If that's the case, I'll keep it. I'll name it—"Suzu: "Wait."Yatrans: "Hm? Why?"Suzu: "You can't name monsters or beasts. Only humans and elves get names."Yatrans: "Why?"Fufu: "Because once named, they become powerful and drain the namer's energy. Sometimes enough to kill the person naming them."
Yatrans: "…I see."Suzu: "That's why we never give names—it's too dangerous."Yatrans: "But I still want to name it. I can't just keep saying 'Three-Tail Fox' forever."Suzu: "…For that—"Dugu: "You can go to the Oregane. They're people with high magical energy, capable of naming beasts—for a price."Yatrans: "Whoa! Really? Where are they? How does it work?" (excited)Dugu: "They live north of the city. They have far greater magical energy than normal humans. For money, they'll give your familiar a name. The cost depends on the creature's rarity, magic, and potential evolution. It's an organization—every country and city has one."
Yatrans: "I see… so what evolution will this fox have?"Dugu: "No one can say. Some grow larger, some change colors. But one thing is certain—their power always increases after naming. How much depends on their magic and evolution."
Yatrans: "Okay… so, where's this Oregane?"Suzu: "I'll take you."Yatrans: "Alright! Let's go, Three-Tail!" (excited)
Scene – Yatrans, Suzu, and the fox leave. The fox rests on Yatrans' shoulder as they walk.
Suzu: "So, Yatrans, what name will you give it?"Yatrans: "…Name?"Suzu: "Yes! You're paying for the naming, but you're the one who decides the name."Yatrans: "I see… but I haven't thought of one yet."(Suzu stops in shock.)
Suzu: "WHAT?! You're going to name it but didn't even think of a name yet?!" (angry)Yatrans: "Hahaha… well, I didn't plan on making it my pet." (small smile)Suzu: "…Fine. We still have some time before reaching the Oregane. Think of a good name by then."
Yatrans: "Yes, ma'am!" (excited tone)
