VIP Room No. 2
The Kengan Association's corporate bosses gathered.
The second round had just ended when they received Katahara Metsudo's summons.
But upon arrival, Metsudo was nowhere to be seen.
"What are you all doing here?" After a wait, Metsudo appeared with his guard team.
"Didn't you call us—"
A boss's baffled words were cut off as a gang of white-suited thugs stormed in, surrounding them.
Tall and burly, wielding cold steel, their menace was palpable.
Hayami Katsumasa's armed force—the Sirius Wolves!
"Your era ends here, Metsudo!" Hayami strode in, grinning maniacally.
He began strong-arming the Kengan members to pick sides, laying out his plan.
Metsudo's prized guard team numbered 215. His Sirius Wolves? A thousand. Plus, bombs rigged in the arena's dome held global dignitaries hostage.
He couldn't lose!
But as he gloated, Metsudo, smiling broadly, delivered a critical blow. "The bombs you planted in the dome? Dismantled. Didn't know you had a mole, did you? Haha!"
Hayami reeled as if struck by lightning.
Now, in the eyes of world leaders, he was a full-blown terrorist!
No choice but to go all in.
He ordered the Sirius Wolves to seize the politicians and Kengan members by force.
A thousand against 215.
The advantage was his!
Donglin Construction Suite, Living Room
The LCD TV blared a fitness video.
Uzaki Hana and Yamauchi Sakura sat on yoga mats, huffing and puffing through exercises.
Even the usually sedentary Yukino Yukishita was jumping rope, her T-shirt damp, bangs clinging to her sweaty forehead.
Kurapika, in shark pants and a tight top, a headband on, shadowboxed with relentless jabs.
The girls, inspired by the Kengan matches, craved strength in their own way.
Su Ze lounged on the couch, Ge You-style, lazily munching senbei.
Hayami's fighters had lost, and his armed rebellion was imminent, so Su Ze stayed put instead of hitting the training room.
The Senna sisters sprawled on another couch. Their warm-ups took over an hour—too much hassle—so they rarely exercised.
Senna Sora, in casual clothes, still looked striking.
Annoyed at Su Ze stealing her senbei, she spat one into the bag, shook it vigorously, and smirked triumphantly.
Su Ze snatched the bag, dumping it all into his mouth.
"Boss!" Sora gaped.
What was he doing?
"Quit staring. Get another bag!" Su Ze said shamelessly.
[Senna Sora's Embarrassed Fury: +111]
Sora's cheeks burned, and she turned away, hiding behind her golden hair.
The sisters, raised with little male contact beyond fists, were oddly innocent.
Was that… an indirect tongue kiss?
Sora's mind spun, unexpectedly pure.
The others, focused on their activities, missed the exchange.
Seeing Sora freeze, Su Ze swiped Senna Riko's potato chip bag.
"Who?!" Riko, half-asleep, snapped awake like a roused beast. Seeing her chips in Su Ze's hands, she fumed.
Rage!
Fury!
Outrage!
Then… nothing.
She couldn't win.
"Boss, give it back," Riko growled, her messy golden hair like a lioness's mane.
"Drawer's got more. Get it yourself."
[Senna Riko's Resentment: +77]
Really? Over snacks?
But he liked it.
Su Ze smirked inwardly, staying perfectly still—moving anything but his arms would be a crime against comfort.
Riko didn't fetch more chips. Instead, she said, "Boss, you said you'd make me and Sora stronger."
Su Ze considered stretching but didn't want to ruin his pose. "After the Kengan. Can't you see I'm busy?"
[Senna Riko's Resentment: +77]
Whoa!
Another 77 points—consistent resentment.
Su Ze listened to the system prompts like a news ticker.
[Yono Yukishita's Resentment: +888]
The goddess of misfortune had awoken.
Her grudge was so intense, Su Ze inwardly gasped.
Oof!
That beat ten thrusts.
Just then, Yukino paused her workout, panting. "Sis still asleep? That's a long nap."
[Yono Yukishita's Resentment: +644]
"I'll check," Yuba Ri said, darting from the guest room into Yono's like a gust of wind.
"Yuba and Yono-nee are close, huh?" Sakura wiped her sweat-glossed forehead, smiling.
Suddenly, Su Ze stood, addressing Kurapika. "Look after them. I'm stepping out. Don't open the door."
"Got it," Kurapika replied, her expression shifting, nodding.
The women turned to him.
"Need help, boss?" Sora asked.
"No, just a small matter." Su Ze shook his head, exiting alone, closing the door firmly.
At that moment, Yono and Yuba Ri emerged.
Yono scanned the room, not seeing Su Ze.
She'd sworn she heard his voice.
"Su Ze's out," Yukino said, reading her intent.
Yono's face flickered with uncertainty, her cautious gaze sweeping the group.
She'd once dreamed of a lifelong bond with Su Ze, a true partnership.
But after being overwhelmed in an hour, she knew it was impossible.
One day alone with him would break her!
Yet "unbinding" from him was unthinkable.
She'd never show that wild side to another man.
Her thoughts drifted to her and Yuba Ri serving him together, then to Yukino.
Why not pull Yukino in?
If not for her, I wouldn't be in this mess.
She should share this burden!
But that felt unfair to Yukino.
After much thought, Yono found no good solution, huffed coldly, and returned to her room.
The women exchanged baffled looks.
Who ticked her off?
