Chapter 199 - Chapter 199: A Gathering of Invalids

"Is anyone else coming? If not, I'm done here!" Yu Jin looked at the nearly empty line and symbolically called out a few times.

From morning until afternoon, Yu Jin had been at the Goth Grand Hotel. Not for anything else, but to see if there were any illnesses among the Fatui that he couldn't cure.

The result was obvious; under Yu Jin's discerning eyes, any symptoms of element corrosion could always be traced to their origin.

Combined with Yu Jin's power, sometimes he could cure the Fatui's illnesses without medicine.

In less than a day, Yu Jin was truly enlightened. He never realized that after being corroded by elements, there could be so many symptoms.

Like stiff skin and inability to raise hands due to Geo element corrosion; or extreme sensitivity all over the body from fire element corrosion, where even a small scrape could cause immense pain... and so on.

The number of symptoms varied from person to person. Everyone had their own unique characteristics, which was dazzling.

It could be said that most of the Mondstadters in the Fatui had some physical ailments, more or less. The only normal ones were the new recruits.

"Tsk, I didn't expect your subordinates to be full of invalids," Yu Jin said, shaking his head with a sigh, looking at the Fatui lying flat on the ground or adjusting to their bodies.

"Those ailments don't affect their ability as soldiers," the Lady said indifferently, her eyes slightly closed.

"It's only a matter of time," Yu Jin said, looking at the Electro Cicin Mage and the Debt Collectors not far away.

These two types of soldiers were equipped with Delusions, and their symptoms were the most severe. Under the dual corrosion of Delusions and elemental power, many were just barely holding on.

If they weren't treated soon, their end would likely not be good.

"Those people will return to Snezhnaya and won't have to fight anymore," the Lady said, as if defending them.

"Heh heh, not bad." Yu Jin plunged his hand into a cylinder filled with blood and stirred it. The blood, which had settled for a long time, now became thick.

He pulled out his hand, and his grayish-white arm armor was stained crimson. Viscous plasma dripped from his fingertips, falling into the still churning cylinder without causing a ripple.

"To some extent, I've been to Snezhnaya," Yu Jin suddenly said, looking at the bloodline on his fingertip.

"I guessed as much. My three colleagues from last time were injured by your subordinates," the Lady said, opening her eyes, though there was not much doubt in them.

Black Knife didn't hide his intentions, and as the Harbinger who had the most contact with Yu Jin, the Lady easily guessed that Yu Jin was the mastermind behind the previous attack.

"There, I saw many meaningless things." Yu Jin clenched his fist and looked up at the Lady, saying:

"Since you've decided to take the path of resistance, then see it through! Nobles? Coliseums? Lavish concert halls? Don't you think some of that is superfluous?"

"If you're going to rightfully make others the cornerstone of some goal, shouldn't you first dedicate everything you have to that goal?

"If you were all about getting stronger, I might even respect you more. But now…"

Yu Jin shook his head, extending his blood-stained arm.

"Sizzle——" Yu Jin's arm instantly became scorching hot, and the blood rose, sizzling.

Soon, the blood dissipated, and Yu Jin's arm returned to its original tattered state.

"Go back and tell your leader, your Tsaritsa, that with me, she can at most take two cuts." Yu Jin held up two fingers, a gesture normally meant to be friendly, but it now brought immense coldness to the Lady.

"Let me remind you, I don't like to actively seek trouble. If it really comes to that, you will regret your decision to establish the Fatui at 3:57:24 PM on November 27, 497 years ago."

Silence, a deathly silence.

Upon hearing Yu Jin's words, the Lady suddenly felt thousands of hands scratching her scalp.

The Fatui was established not long after the fall of Khaenri'ah. The Lady vaguely remembered that there were only a few Harbingers at that time, and she was among them.

She didn't remember the exact founding date of the Fatui, but after Yu Jin spoke those words, that date was deeply etched into her mind.

Whether it was true or not no longer mattered; from now on, the founding date of the Fatui was 3:57:24 PM on November 27, 497 years ago.

"You…how do you know so much?" The Lady suddenly found her voice hoarse, as if she had inhaled too much invisible dust.

"I know too much." Yu Jin shrugged, then pointed to his eyes and said, "If I want to look."

"Alright, I won't disturb you invalids from resting." Yu Jin, feeling the occasional glances directed at him and the heavy atmosphere in the air, wanted to leave.

He looked up, cupped his hands around his mouth, and shouted, "Everyone! Listen up! If you don't follow the doctor's orders, then just wait to die!"

After speaking, Yu Jin ran to the cylinder filled with blood and lifted it in one breath.

Feeling the heavy weight on his shoulder, Yu Jin said, as if joking and as if sighing:

"Tsk, I worked all day and only got this much blood. What a huge loss."

And it was true; the things Yu Jin gave for treatment were far more valuable than this cylinder of fresh blood.

Moreover, most of this blood wasn't even normal blood. Yu Jin felt the elemental power flowing through the blood and could only hope the Golden Tree Sapling wouldn't get diarrhea after consuming it.

"Tha…thank you," the Lady said, as if by some impulse, watching Yu Jin and Lanssangx about to leave.

"You're welcome!" Yu Jin held the cylinder with one hand and waved to the Lady with the other.

Then, he and Lanssangx walked out together… "Boom!" Raging flames ignited, and the blood-filled cylinder on Yu Jin's shoulder instantly turned to ash.

"So annoying! I worked all day and got nothing!" Yu Jin rubbed his eyes, he almost gave himself away just now. If he hadn't run fast, he would probably be in tears by now.

Looking at things through the long river of time is very hard on the eyes.

After a completely meaningless eye-rubbing session, Yu Jin finally stopped his actions.

"My King, what do we do now?" Lanssangx asked, looking at the ashes beside Yu Jin, with a puzzled expression.

In fact, whether or not there was this cylinder of blood was irrelevant to the Golden Tree. The nutrients the Golden Tree needed would probably require burying all Mondstadters in the soil to suffice.

The Greater Will had deliberately thrown it into the Crucible of Life to allow it to continuously absorb nutrients, so that the Golden Tree could grow quickly.

But now, Teyvat simply didn't have anything good enough for the Golden Tree to graft onto. Without sufficient nutrients, the Golden Tree could still grow, but it would take an unknown amount of time for it to mature.

"Lanssangx, can you paint?" Yu Jin suddenly brought up a completely unrelated topic.

"No, why?" Lanssangx replied to Yu Jin's question, though she was puzzled.

"Then remember to bring a Kamera from Fontaine when you go to Dragonspine," Yu Jin pondered for a moment, then instructed Lanssangx.

"No, My King, I don't understand what you're saying?" Lanssangx was full of questions. Could it be that the scenery of Dragonspine was so beautiful that Yu Jin wanted her to record it?

But that couldn't be right, could it? In terms of natural scenery, Teyvat could never compare to the desolate mountains of The Lands Between.

The biggest advantage here compared to The Lands Between was its diverse culture and abundant spiritual products.

Unlike The Lands Between, where people were either fighting or on their way to fight.

"You know Miquella once watered the Haligtree with his own blood, right?" Yu Jin asked Lanssangx.

"Yes." Lanssangx nodded. Miquella's pure Golden Order. A Golden Order that embraced everything and welcomed all races.

A holy land yearned for by countless races persecuted by the Golden Order in The Lands Between. Its great renown was, of course, known to Lanssangx, who was a dragon.

"Then what do you think I can water out?" Yu Jin raised his arm; he could bleed now.
