"Son of a Void Hound!"
After listening, Leon immediately made a blunt declaration about this insidiously designed mechanic monster.
"This 'Meme Body' is so OP, how can anyone play without a nerf? Are these guys from the Garden of Recollection cheating or what?"
Ignoring all physical attacks—that's god-tier at the very least.
It's insane. Unless the devs specifically design a counter for it, it'll definitely have a spot in all the daily high-difficulty content.
If Leon didn't hate the idea of being handicapped, he would've considered getting a 'Meme Body' himself.
"Between Paths, there are also wheelchairs."
Boothill shrugged. "That's just how these folks from Remembrance are. We don't have a way to deal with them, so we'll have to borrow some external help."
"I don't believe it. I'm gonna kill them with my arrows!"
Leon retorted defiantly.
He had always believed that brute force solves everything.
Mechanics were just stats that hadn't been honed to the extreme, a product of unconventional methods. In the end, it was all just heretical trickery!
If you can't brute-force your way through a 'physical immunity' buff, you should reflect on your own shortcomings!
Can't do it? Why not!
If it were me, I could do it!
Don't ask how. If your stats are high enough, you should be able to!
"If you were an Emanator, you might be able to leverage the power gap to ignore the 'Meme Body' and slaughter a regular Memokeeper."
Hearing this, Boothill didn't pour cold water on his idea.
"But if you run into an Emanator of Remembrance..."
"Among equals, unless you've mastered some special killer move from The Hunt, it'd be hard to determine a winner."
"I've heard some Rangers can fire specially customized, long-range bullets ten years in the past, which then travel across ten light-years of distance to kill an enemy."
Boothill continued, "Something like that killer move."
"Oh? So the mechanic of The Hunt is 'Causality'?"
Leon stroked his chin, pondering.
What Boothill described sounded a lot like the effect of the "Counter-Time Strike" he had received from the Xianzhou Alliance.
Could he infer from this that the mechanism of The Hunt was indeed causality?
'Wait, then where's my 'Causality' ability?'
Leon realized he was missing the most important piece and complained internally.
Who, who stole his ace in the hole!
Sigh, to be fair, it wasn't just him.
It seemed like no one in the entire Xianzhou Alliance possessed an ability even remotely related to 'Causality'.
But all of The Hunt's creations pointed to the concept of 'Causality'. The Aeon itself couldn't possibly lack it.
'No... I must have it... I just haven't been able to unlock it yet...'
Leon thought for a moment and concluded it was unlikely he didn't have it.
Freljord was famous for being a genuine exchange, a true heart for a true heart.
Which meant it was unlikely that Lan would hold back on him. If she gives something, she gives the whole package. Otherwise, it'd be out of character.
When you run into a problem, first reflect on your own shortcomings.
Leon had always done that.
He'd just have to wait for a moment of epiphany. Perhaps then he could grasp the true power his predecessor had left for him.
"Hey, brother, confidence is a good thing."
Regarding his declaration to kill the Memokeepers with his arrows, Boothill patted his back.
"But we Rangers aren't just reckless brutes. We still need to make the proper pre-battle preparations."
Boothill told him not to rush; they'd deal with those Memokeepers sooner or later.
"Back then, when the old-timers were killing Lord Ravagers, they knew to use the Swarm's momentum. Rushing in headfirst accomplishes nothing."
"I don't care either way."
To Leon, there was no difference between going now and going later.
But no matter what, he was determined to obliterate the Memokeepers with his arrows to prove the beauty of pure stats!
"Old man, did you get those bullets I asked for or not?" Boothill shifted his gaze back to the mechanoid.
"I did, but the bullets you want are missing a crucial material."
Seeing this, the mechanoid also started talking business.
"You have to bring this material back for me, otherwise these bullets will be no different from the ones you usually use."
"Don't beat around the bush, darlin', just spit it out."
Boothill told it not to be polite with him.
"Have you heard of the 'Heliobus'?" the mechanoid asked.
"'Heliobus'?"
Boothill hissed slightly. "I feel like I've heard that name somewhere, but I can't quite recall."
"'Heliobus,' a type of pure energy being without a fixed form."
The mechanoid explained, as expected.
"Sounds pretty similar to 'Memokeepers,' doesn't it? Both are beings made of pure energy."
"As the saying goes, the best way is to fight fire with fire. The Heliobus are undoubtedly a key tool for dealing with spiritual bodies."
"To forge bullets capable of killing 'Memokeepers,' the Heliobus are an indispensable component."
"Bring it back, and Papa will take care of the rest."
The mechanoid had an air of 'if you can bring it back, I can make it.'
"Darlin', you should've said so sooner! I thought it was something serious, you had my heart in a knot!"
Boothill laughed and cursed upon hearing this, letting out a sigh of relief.
"It's just a 'Heliobus'."
"Where can I catch this 'Heliobus'? Give me the location, and I'll go bring it back for you."
Boothill grinned with confidence.
"You'd best not underestimate the Heliobus."
Seeing his attitude, the mechanoid's words carried a hint of fatherly concern.
"Drop the dismissive attitude. This species has produced its fair share of powerful individuals. If you're not careful, you'll really mess up."
"When have I ever gotten cocky? You can rest easy when I'm on the job!" Boothill nodded.
"This is a Xianzhou artifact called a 'Moon-Concealing Gourd'."
But the mechanoid shook its head, seemingly unconvinced by his words.
"It can be used to capture Heliobus. You two take it."
As it spoke, it turned and picked up a high-tech-style gourd that it had already prepared from the table.
"The 'Heliobus Positioning and Inspection System' I created will be transferred directly to your cerebral nexus shortly."
The mechanoid tossed the gourd over.
"Alright, wait for my good news."
Boothill raised his left hand high to catch it, using his right to tip the brim of his cowboy hat down, looking just like he'd accepted a commission.
"Let's go, brother. After we catch this 'Heliobus,' we'll go blow all those Memokeepers to smithereens!"
Boothill turned, speaking as he walked, and gestured for him to follow.
"So, we're doing some daily quests before the high-difficulty raid? Interesting."
Leon said as he stepped forward to follow.
Only by dominating both high-difficulty and daily content can you be considered a true god-tier powerhouse!
If you only excel at one, you're just a specialized mechanic monster!
But Leon was different.
I'm the real stats monster, not you guys!

The Balanza System.
This is one of the Interastral Peace Corporation's frontier development industries, as well as an important processing base for Synesthesia Beacons.
And now, this planet has been invaded by the Lord Ravager "Iron Tomb," causing it to fall into a state of complete paralysis.
Distress signals couldn't be sent out, and basically all equipment had malfunctioned.
Whether for transportation or anything else.
Besides waiting for the Corporation to discover the anomaly on its own, the people here could only wait to die.
Fortunately, two Galaxy Rangers happened to arrive here, drawn by the aura of a 'Heliobus'.
