Chapter 11 - Chapter 11: Multiple Twists, Is This the Battle of Genius Ninjas?

"Kakashi... lost?"

"That guy, Mirai Uchiha, really defeated Kakashi?"

"It's over!"

Seeing Mirai Uchiha's long sword pressed against Kakashi Hatake's neck, everyone's faces showed an expression of disbelief.

Kakashi Hatake, on whom they had placed so much hope, had lost like this?

Just as everyone thought the victory and defeat were settled, a sudden change occurred.

Kakashi Hatake's body suddenly turned into a flash of lightning and exploded toward Mirai Uchiha.

Immediately afterward, the ground cracked, and Kakashi Hatake emerged, placing his sword against Mirai Uchiha's neck.

"You're very good, but this is where it ends," Kakashi Hatake said in a deep voice.

Originally, he thought it would be an uneventful confrontation, but he didn't expect Mirai Uchiha to push him so much.

If he hadn't used a Lightning Clone as a decoy to paralyze his opponent's body, he probably would have been the one defeated.

Upon hearing Kakashi's words, a slight smile appeared on Mirai Uchiha's face.

Seeing this, a strong sense of crisis flooded Kakashi's heart.

Before he could react, the Mirai Uchiha in front of him dissipated in a puff of smoke.

"Doton: Shinjū Zanshu no Jutsu! (Earth Style: Decapitation Technique)"

With a muffled cry, Kakashi Hatake's legs were grabbed by Mirai Uchiha.

The next second, his body was dragged underground, leaving only his head exposed.

Mirai Uchiha crouched in front of Kakashi Hatake and sheathed his long sword.

"You're very good, but this is where it ends."

Hearing his own words returned exactly the same, Kakashi Hatake's face, under his mask, turned completely red.

I... really lost!

The most important thing was that, in the battle that had just occurred, Kakashi Hatake didn't think he had made any mistakes.

But in the end, he still lost.

Could it be... that his opponent had already predicted he would use a Lightning Clone as a decoy?

That combat intelligence... isn't it terrifying?

"Sensei, the battle is over."

Mirai Uchiha looked toward Instructor Kimiyama Ōiwa, who had finally snapped out of his stupor and, with a slightly trembling voice, announced:

"The winner is Mirai Uchiha!"

With the announcement of the result, the crowd erupted completely.

"Incredible, Kakashi really lost."

"Is Mirai Uchiha's strength really that great?"

"That battle was amazing, this is what a true ninja duel looks like!"

"Compared to theirs, our fights look like child's play..."

"The title of Konoha's number one genius is going to change hands."

For this group of students who hadn't even graduated from the Ninja Academy, the battle between Mirai Uchiha and Kakashi Hatake had just redefined their understanding of what a combat battle was.

Taijutsu clashes, ninjutsu duels.

One using a Lightning Clone as a decoy, the other using a Shadow Clone to turn the strategy around...

Twist after twist, it couldn't be more exciting!

"Damn, has that guy really grown this much?"

Asuma Sarutobi, who until recently had been proud of mastering Katon: Haijekishō (Fire Style: Ash Combustion), felt a huge sense of frustration.

The strength Mirai Uchiha had just shown made him feel like it was unattainable.

Obito Uchiha also gritted his teeth.

Mirai Uchiha's performance today, wasn't it exactly how he saw himself in his dreams?

Looking at Rin Nohara's flushed face next to him, Obito Uchiha couldn't help but start fantasizing.

If he also had that strength, Rin would surely accept to be his girlfriend, right?

"Is this the strength of a genius? It seems like my effort isn't enough. Today, I'll walk around the village on my hands!"

"This is the flame of youth!"

Might Guy's eyes were filled with fighting spirit.

Unlike the others, Might Guy was amazed by the level of taijutsu demonstrated by Kakashi Hatake and Mirai Uchiha.

The only thing he knew how to do and the only thing he was good at was taijutsu. If he couldn't succeed at what he was best at, he didn't know what the point of his life would be.

Therefore, Might Guy decided that, from now on, he would train his taijutsu with even more effort!

...

"Heh, heh... The little one has really surprised me."

Hiruzen Sarutobi smiled and took a puff from his pipe as he watched Kakashi Hatake defeated.

Mirai Uchiha's performance today had even surprised him.

It seems that not allowing Mirai Uchiha to join the Konoha Military Police was a very wise decision.

A genius like this, it's more reassuring to keep him under my own supervision.

"Sandaime-sama, this time Kakashi was just careless. Otherwise, with his strength, it would be impossible for him to lose to Mirai Uchiha," Fugaku Uchiha explained, forcing himself.

Of course, he knew Hiruzen Sarutobi's intention in having Kakashi Hatake participate in the graduation exam.

Now that Kakashi Hatake had been defeated by Mirai Uchiha, Fugaku Uchiha feared that Hiruzen Sarutobi might be displeased with the Uchiha clan because of it.

"Fugaku, a loss is a loss. There's no need to make excuses for Kakashi.

"I'm very happy that such a genius has appeared in Konoha," said Hiruzen Sarutobi with a smile.

He had seen too many geniuses.

In his day, Kagami Uchiha, Sakumo Hatake, Orochimaru, Tsunade...

Which of them wasn't a unique genius among thousands?

As long as they didn't grow to the level of Hashirama Senju and Madara Uchiha, he was confident that he could keep them under control.

"Well, the exam for today is over. We should leave."

After speaking, Hiruzen Sarutobi turned around and descended from the platform.

Fugaku Uchiha, Minato Namikaze, Shinku Yūhi, and the others closely followed.

Only Orochimaru stayed in his place, watching Mirai Uchiha with a look full of curiosity.

As if feeling his gaze, Mirai Uchiha looked at him from a distance.

"How perceptive."

Orochimaru, excited, stuck out his long tongue and licked his face.

He really is an excellent body.

When the research on the Reincarnation of the Living Body (Fushi Tensei) succeeds, I'll use him as my first vessel.

...

Seeing Orochimaru turn and leave, Mirai Uchiha quietly withdrew his gaze.

Although Orochimaru was extremely dangerous, at this stage, he was probably just experimenting with orphans and death row inmates.

Before Fushi Tensei was complete, he shouldn't have to worry too much.

After a while, once he reached a certain level of power, Orochimaru would no longer be a major threat to him.

Mirai Uchiha was quite confident about this.

In just over a month, he had already been able to defeat Kakashi Hatake.

If he were given a little more time, even for a Kage-level shinobi like Orochimaru, it would be difficult to represent a threat to him.

That was the power of having an overwhelming advantage.

The crowd dispersed.

Kurenai Yūhi jumped over to Mirai Uchiha's side.

"Mirai, you're really amazing!"

"You even defeated Kakashi!" Kurenai Yūhi said excitedly.

"Why does it seem like you're more excited than I am? If someone didn't know, they'd think you were the one who defeated Kakashi," Mirai Uchiha said, gently pinching Kurenai Yūhi's slightly chubby cheeks.

"Heh, heh... it's almost the same."

"Tomorrow is the team assignment, don't be late!"
