The thrill of riding a horse and raising a whip is something that almost all men who yearn for the battlefield long for. Since Black Smoke did not require whipping—it would accelerate and slow down as the situation dictated, sharing the same mind as Connors, who only needed to hold on to the reins—he found another use for the whip. Even if Connors wanted to, he didn't need to grab the reins, because Black Smoke would consciously protect him from foreign objects in the air, flying insects, wind, and rain.

But although Black Smoke had many benefits, Connors still chose to ride a horse and raise the whip. The horse he rode was Black Smoke, but the object of the whip was changed to Harley Quinn. And Harley, who Connors hadn't even tried this with in a car, couldn't stand the excitement. Crisp cheers shouted all the way, and her red and blue twin ponytails bounced non-stop, a mesmerizing sight.

"Red, Ivy said that she can handle it by herself. The forest is her home ground. Even the little bat can't do anything to her~" After approaching Gotham Forest, Harley Quinn turned around, leaned her back into Connors's arms, and said in a voice like a crisp spring.

Originally, Harley had no plans to come to Gotham Forest, but after learning that Connors had a new mount, she followed with a playful mind. "Catwoman" Selina was a little tired along the way and was already sleeping in the apartment on the 19th floor. The magician Zatanna had set off to the hospital to save people.

"I'm not here to help her. I'm just here to see the fun," Connors replied. He was not a nanny, and it was impossible to help everyone he had dealt with. Otherwise, with his charitable character, he was afraid that he would have to run around saving women for a year or two. Then what kind of melon could he eat?

The black smoke of the horse's hooves stopped at the edge of Gotham Forest. Connors dismounted and allowed it to dissipate without a trace, taking Harley Quinn straight into the depths of the forest. With the Green of All Things, Connors only needed to observe where the plants' movements were to be able to find where "Poison Ivy" and the zombie Grundy were.

The thrilling battle he had imagined did not appear. Instead, the ground was full of broken branches and vines, and scattered petals were trampled underfoot. The tree trunks were in a state of distortion, and the whole scene looked slightly horrifying in the middle of a rainy night, as if a vicious battle had taken place.

Connors made an assessment of the fight in his mind but changed his mind the moment he saw "Poison Ivy." She was still extremely elegant; her temperament had not been damaged at all, and there was not even a trace of a scar on her body.

And "Zombie Solomon" Grundy, for his part, was much more miserable. His limbs were bound by vines and set in the air, and his gray-white skin was full of cracks. Flowers grew out of the cracks, making this ugly-looking, sprawling zombie monster look eerie and terrifying.

"Ivy~ You are so strong!" Harley Quinn bounced by the zombie, picked a flower that bloomed on Grundy, and came to "Poison Ivy" and said.

"No. Although he doesn't seem to have any ability to resist, this is actually the fourth time he has been tied up by me. The first three times, he used brute force to get out of trouble. The vines can't tie him up at all." "Poison Ivy" put Harley Quinn behind her, tapping Connors's delicate chin before retargeting her gaze on Grundy.

"Then why doesn't he move now?" Harley Quinn poked her head out from behind Ivy.

"He must be sleepy," Connors stood next to Grundy and looked at the zombie and said. "Athena's Vision" made him see that Grundy was sleeping soundly at this time.

"Connors, I'm not going out of the forest during this time," Ivy said. "This monster will not die and has great self-healing ability. It can let me torture it for a while and let him know the cost of destroying the forest." She said this with a smile on her face, but her tone was rather cold. It was obvious that Grundy breaking into the forest was to her great displeasure.

It's too late to catch the melon, Connors thought, indifferent to the whereabouts of the zombie Grundy. He nodded and subconsciously glanced at the system.

Although the battle between "Poison Ivy" and Grundy had long ended, the Melon-eating System had actually faithfully recorded it. Connors pondered for two seconds, estimating that Grundy's awakening really had something to do with him, and the system had automatically attributed the damage it caused to himself.

"Go on, go back to sleep," Connors said to Harley, who was hiding behind "Poison Ivy."

"Ivy must be all alone in this, just like I was abandoned by the clown and alone in the chemical pool…" Harley Quinn whispered. "I want to stay here with her."

I'm afraid you two have been getting friendly while I wasn't there… Connors didn't stop Harley Quinn. He and Ivy chatted casually for a few words, and seeing that Ivy wanted to get down to business again, he quickly said goodbye to the two of them.

As Connors rode Black Smoke from the edge of Gotham Forest, ready to try out his ultimate speed, a Batmobile with its headlights on flew up and stopped in front of him. Connors's melons were all eaten, and the master had arrived belatedly.

"Go back. That monster was subdued by Poison Ivy, and it won't be able to come out for ten days and a half," Connors said to Mr. Wayne, who had emerged from the Batmobile.

"Did you see that monster?" Batman asked.

"Yes, I will tell you the details later. I have to go back to bed quickly," Connors waved at Batman, whistled for Black Smoke, turned over, and rode up.

Seeing Connors's relaxed appearance, Batman, who had just finished the Kryptonian War, was relieved and prepared to go back to Wayne Manor to check the information and analyze the monster's abilities. On the way here, he had already received news from Alfred that the monster's destructive power was quite amazing. Since there was no problem now, he could also start making some preparations.

It's just that before Batman returned to the car, Connors summoned Black Smoke. Mr. Wayne's eyes lit up, and he withdrew his butt from the Batmobile. "Your horse… for sale?"

"…Not for sale," Connors shook his head decisively. Since he couldn't fly yet, a car that wouldn't be lost was too important for him. What's more, Black Smoke's growth made its future full of endless possibilities.

Mr. Wayne was visibly disappointed but reminded Connors, "Tomorrow, you need to go to Metropolis with me and talk to that Superman. Barry will go too."

Connors smelled a melon. "Could it be that you are going to fight him?"

Batman shook his head. "Hundreds of people were killed in yesterday's battle. But if we don't fight that alien, the casualties could rise exponentially. I want to have some information in advance, which is why you need to go with us."

"What a pity," Connors said regretfully. "I thought you were going to make an appointment to fight him."

"Why should I make a fight with him?" Mr. Wayne didn't understand. "If it weren't for him holding Zod in check, and if it weren't for you throwing that spaceship into the sun, I'm afraid half the world would have suffered."

"It would have been the people of the entire Earth," Connors corrected. "Just go. I happen to have something to look into."

The battle of Superman vs. Zod had spanned from day to night, but not even one person from the Marvel side had come, except for those present at the time. Connors had some suspicions that this was not at all a world where both sides had merged but that individual characters had crossed over for some reason. Otherwise, some things couldn't make sense—this also explained why "Spider-Silk" didn't go to Spider-Man Peter, but had found him the day after he got his "Spider-Sense."
