"If I had known all this earlier, maybe I would have been more indulgent," the blonde beauty, Black Siren, said with some emotion. She was wearing her mask and the black stocking jumpsuit, leaning against the edge of the private pool, the cool tiles a stark contrast to her heated skin.

"Catwoman" Selina looked at the distinct red slap marks on Black Siren's body that had not yet dissipated, as well as the traces of semen on her face and mask.

If this is her not being indulgent, what would more indulgence even look like? Selina thought. Although Black Siren's face was still flushed and her hair was damp against her skin, Selina herself was not in much better condition.

Connors took a deep drag from his cigarette and didn't comment on Black Siren's words. His "Water Crime" had been to deal with her as a villain. The process had gone fairly smoothly; he had simply illustrated the true source of Seaside City's Justice Society, and what had happened after that… well, that had been purely voluntary. A two-on-one with two beauties who looked so similar, coupled with the contrast in their hero/villain identities… Connors's experience had reached its peak.

Back in Seaside City, Batman left the Music Meister and Catman tied up and headed in the direction of the cemetery. He remembered Connors making hints related to "the grave" before, and he was going to take this opportunity to take a look.

There weren't many gravestones, but five of them stood side-by-side, looking larger than the rest. Batman leaned over, his eyes narrowing at the names.

"Batman, what did you find?" "Superman" Clark landed softly behind him. After arresting Dr. Blizzard, he had planned to put him in a local prison, but he soon discovered that the huge city only had two police officers, so he had quickly searched for Batman. Compared to the members of the Justice Society, Clark instinctively felt more comfortable communicating with the other time-traveling heroes.

"There are secrets buried in this city. You can see for yourself," Batman moved away from the tombstones.

Clark looked at them and saw the names of the five Justice Society members: the Green Guardian, Catman, Black Siren, Atom Smasher, and Johnny Quick.

"They died… or, they were already dead," Clark said, his brows furrowing.

"You're right. So those people we see… who are they?" Batman was asking Superman, but also asking himself.

"Green Lantern" Hal also followed the two of them here. After seeing the names on the tombstones, he raised his hand and looked at his own ring. "Robots? Clones? Whoever they are, we have to find the answer."

These heroes of the Justice Society had been Hal Jordan's childhood idols. Traveling to this world and being recognized by them as a member had been more joyful for Hal than anything else. But now, seeing their names on these tombstones and looking down at the ring on his hand, he felt like he was on a roller coaster.

Hal jumped into the air alone without saying a word. He was going to find out the truth. "Superman" Clark followed, and "Batman" Bruce also started the Batmobile to chase after him.

On the street, an ice cream truck drove by to a crisp and sweet melody, the driver whistling easily along with it. But soon, he had to brake sharply to a halt. "Green Lantern" Hal was standing in front of the truck. "Stop!"

The driver, an ice cream salesman, didn't feel any resentment at the sudden stop. He smiled and lowered the window, asking Hal, "Dude, what are your orders?"

"Tell me what happened to the tombstones in the Seaside City Cemetery," Hal asked straight to the point.

The driver swallowed. "Sorry, I still have something to do. I can't keep my customers waiting."

"What customer?" Batman and Superman had arrived at this point, too. "I've noticed you for a long time. You drove the ice cream truck round and round and never stopped."

The driver grimaced. "You can't stop doing business."

Ignoring his expression, Batman grabbed him by the collar and almost pulled him out of the cab. "When was the last time you sold ice cream?"

"Please, don't ask again! He will hear…" The driver's hat was knocked off, but he didn't even bother to pick it up. His tone was bitter and panicked. "I can't say it anymore!" After that, the driver stepped on the accelerator and fled in his ice cream van.

"Should I stop him?" Clark asked, standing still.

"No," Batman shook his head. "He's probably just a poor man. There are more and more questions, but I think we're getting close to the truth."

Before he could finish his words, the three of them were covered by a sudden shadow cast from the sky. It was a gigantic airship, and beneath it was hoisted the bank vault that the Wizard had stolen.

"I'll go," Clark said, about to take off, but he was stopped by Batman.

"Leave it to them," Batman said, referring to the Justice Society. One of their members, Black Siren, was already on the side of the airship. "We go explore the history of this city."

To query history, it was generally more direct to go to the library. This was also Batman's purpose. But there was a man standing in front of the library in Seaside City at this moment: it was Connors, who had returned after his detour.

"That was much faster than I expected. Your efficiency is quite high," Connors smiled and greeted the three men.

"Do you know the truth behind all this?" Batman asked. He had only gone to the cemetery to see the gravestones because of Connors's suggestion.

"I know everything, but sometimes it's pointless to just say it." Connors smiled and became a riddler himself, making a "please" gesture. "Go in and have a look."

"Connors, who the hell are you?" Superman and Batman went in first, but "Green Lantern" Hal couldn't help but ask.

"Don't ask in a hurry. Let's go in and have a look," Connors said, avoiding the answer. If he said everything, what melon would be left to eat?

The library in Seaside City was very large, with probably hundreds of thousands of books. It was unimaginable how long it would take to read them one by one. But there was clearly no need for that now. No matter which book Batman opened or which shelf Superman's super-vision swept through, they were all, without exception, completely blank.
