Chapter 132 - Chapter 132: Inserting Yourself in Heaven

"Are you going to blow superheroes up?" "Atomica" looked at Connors's movements with some confusion.

"Yes, Superman and the others are negotiating with Dr. Psycho in Kahndaq. When they return here… boom."

Connors stuffed the bomb into Dr. Light's mouth and said to "Atomica."

"Even if Madame Xanadu said you were just fixing the timeline, this kind of thing would be too cruel." She was referring to Connors's act of burying a bomb in Dr. Light's corpse.

"The death of a few is better than the end of the world." Connors finished speaking to "Atomica," disguised the House of Mystery as a chair, and placed it near the autopsy table.

Previously, Connors still had some psychological burden on his behavior of promoting the development of the plot in order to watch the show. But after learning from Madame Xanadu that his behavior belonged to "correcting time," he had no worries.

In Heaven, the Phantom Stranger left Connors's Grass Decoy in Batman's exclusive paradise and erased "Katana's" memories of Batman's identity.

Just when he was about to use the same method against Catwoman, Batman stopped him. "Catwoman knows my identity, and Connors knows the Scarecrow you just secretly left behind, so there is no need to deliberately hide it from them."

"But did Connors say what he wanted to do with this exclusive paradise?"

Phantom Stranger said, "Connors told me the same thing, there's no need to hide it from you. He's going to come here one day in the future with another Batman just to take a look."

Batman nodded. He had already learned through Connors's various clues that this guy was probably from other worlds, but it was only now confirmed. "Has Dr. Light been found?"

Phantom Stranger shook his head. "Not yet, but—"

"But I found him." The "Deadman" fell from the sky and flew to everyone.

"How did you do it?" Catwoman asked curiously.

"While you were playing the 'Heaven Development Game,' I searched every corner of the place," the Deadman said with some pride.

"How did you resist the exclusive paradise created in an instant?" Katana asked.

The "Deadman" drifted in the air and replied, "Quite simply, I'm dead, and my paradise doesn't belong here. What about you, Phantom Stranger? You don't seem to have entered your exclusive paradise either?"

"My Heaven is in the mortal world—but I am about to lose it." As soon as the Phantom Stranger's words landed, under the guidance of the "Deadman," the "Dr. Light" who was full of light appeared in front of him. Dr. Light was shrouded in light, and the surrounding buildings and fog seemed to be affected, turning into countless rays.

"A man who can distort light and manipulate energy creates a world of pure light. That makes sense," Batman said.

"But he's in a deep sleep right now. How can we revive him?" Catwoman asked.

"Wake him up, Katana," Batman said.

"Wait, his consciousness is slowly transitioning toward Heaven, and we should let him accept it calmly," the Phantom Stranger stopped Batman. "And no one knows what would happen to rashly wake up a recently dead soul, and you also said we can't get the attention of some guy in Heaven—"

Before the Phantom Stranger finished speaking, he was coldly interrupted by Batman. "But you have to be clear about the consequences of not doing so! While we're wasting our time here, Superman is still undergoing endless torture! We're here to help him!"

Katana slashed towards Dr. Light with a swing of her sword, but with the back of the sword, she knocked him from his floating state to the ground.

"Dr. Light, do you remember what happened before you died? You are dead now," Catwoman asked.

"I—how do I know? All I found was that I suddenly burned up and there was nothing behind me." Dr. Light, who had awakened, said helplessly after figuring out that he was dead.

"You have to figure out what happened to you. You must remember something!" Batman subconsciously used the tone of intimidating criminals.

"Batman, he really doesn't know," Phantom Stranger blocked the way.

"Then we failed, and this trip gained nothing," Batman's tone was cold, "except for the Scarecrow Connors left behind in my paradise."

"No, there is another way. If we take Dr. Light back and resurrect him, Superman's name will be cleared," the Phantom Stranger said as if he had made up his mind.

"Resurrect the dead? It's crazy," Batman said from the side.

The "Deadman" glanced at himself silently, not daring to make a wisecrack at this time.

"Catwoman" had no concerns in this regard. "Is this method feasible?"

"I don't know, but I'm going to give it a try," the Phantom Stranger replied. "We can do it."

"I believe in your determination, but determination is not everything." Dr. Light emerged from his hand with a star-like point of light. "If we fail and you can't get me back, then bring this."

"Give this to my family."

The Phantom Stranger took the star-like point of light handed by Dr. Light. "It's a deal, but Dr. Light, we won't fail."

"You've failed."

A loud voice came from the sky, and angel guards fell from the sky with wings on their backs and flaming holy swords in their hands.

"Zauriel?" The Phantom Stranger's loud but unexpected voice sounded; he had already anticipated this scene.

"Phantom Stranger, I warned you never to come to Heaven again. You know that if you do this, I will have to eliminate you from history and time," Zauriel, the guardian angel of Heaven, said with a deadpan expression.

"Eliminate? Wait, you can't do that!" The Deadman subconsciously wanted to stop the Angel.

"Phantom Stranger never told me this. Why?" Batman asked, looking at the Phantom Stranger.

"You've caused enough trouble, go away." Zauriel reached for a push and pushed everyone but the Phantom Stranger and Dr. Light into the distance.

"Dr. Light, you are here to rest in Heaven. Let Heaven nourish you." Dr. Light slept over again and transitioned in the direction of Heaven.

"Phantom Stranger, why are you hiding it from them? Why bother? For the sake of Superman's life, you gave up everything about yourself." The holy sword burning with flames pointed at the Phantom Stranger, and the flames immediately devoured him.

The mortal world of Earth-0 was left in place without the other superheroes taken away by Phantom Stranger and Batman, who tried to find the whereabouts of Phantom Stranger and Batman. But the gang seemed to evaporate out of thin air, until they saw the Phantom Stranger in the fog in front of a mirror.

"Phantom Stranger found? Where are the others?" The Flash of the Justice League, Green Lantern of the Justice League of America, Steve Trevor, Vibe, and others gathered in front of the mirror. Vibe wondered aloud.

The Phantom Stranger in the mist in the mirror suddenly spoke. "Between life and death, they… we asked Dr. Light, but he knew nothing, and I made a mistake that was already forbidden and therefore had to pay the ultimate price."

"I am strong enough to save your friends, but not myself."

After the Phantom Stranger's words, the mirror broke, and Batman, Katana, Catwoman, and the Deadman returned to reality.

"Phantom Stranger?" Vibe shouted, but the other person's figure was engulfed in flames.

"Has he left?" asked the Flash.

The "Deadman" stood aside. "No, he's dead."

Catwoman pushed her goggles to her forehead. "Perhaps we should erect a monument to the Phantom Stranger—Connors said we should remember him."
