Chapter 4 - Chapter Three: Preparing for Impact

The newest version of my device was finally complete. This time, I redesigned it as an armguard bracelet. Unlike a simple watch, the screen sat on the outer side of the wrist — safer that way, so it wouldn't shatter if you crossed your arms to block an attack.

I'd expanded its functions, too:

Gravity Training: up to one hundred times Earth's gravity.

Dragon Radar: now fully integrated.

Communicator: because saving the world requires good reception.

And that was just the right arm.

The left arm housed something experimental. Something risky.

A ki amplifier.

It mimicked the Super Saiyan transformation — not perfectly, but enough to matter. When activated, it doubled the user's ki for a short burst. The downside? It drained stamina fast. Ten minutes at most before the safety system shut it down. I knew the risks, but compared to the Kaioken, this was merciful. With enough data, I could refine it further, maybe even push the multiplier higher.

That's why Goku and Krillin became my test subjects. At first, Goku wasn't thrilled — not surprising, given he already trusted his own body over gadgets. But with Chi-Chi's help, I convinced him. He relented, and every test gave me more data to work with.

Raditz would arrive in a week. I had done everything I could.

Goku and Krillin had pushed themselves to withstand twenty-five times gravity. Chi-Chi and I were still stuck around ten, but I wasn't discouraged. I knew I'd never match their raw talent. That didn't mean I couldn't stand alongside them. Technology was my weapon, and adaptation was my strength.

The plan was set. Goku wanted to introduce Gohan to Master Roshi. Krillin would join him, eager to show how much he had improved after a year and a half of training and testing my inventions. Meanwhile, I stayed in my workshop, refining the data they'd given me and preparing the next upgrade.

As for Raditz?

I wasn't worried. Not this time.

Even without the left-arm amplifier, Goku's base strength was already higher than Raditz's. And if he did need it… well, Raditz wouldn't stand a chance.
