Chapter 99 - A Hidden Village, Separated from the World

Da Xiong, on the other hand, was the kind of person who didn't have a single athletic bone in his body. When he fell earlier, he practically landed face-first into the stream.

So now, most of his clothes were soaked through with water.

At first, because of the excitement, he hadn't really noticed. But once Tiemuzhen reminded him, he suddenly realized his body temperature had dropped. He immediately started shivering uncontrollably.

"Ah… ah-choo!"

Not only that—he even sneezed loudly, complete with a wobbling bubble of snot.

Everyone—Doraemon, Fat Tiger, and the rest—could only press their hands to their foreheads helplessly.

After following Tiemuzhen to change into the local clothing, Da Xiong and the others completely shed their modern look.

As the saying goes, when in Rome, do as the Romans do.Since they were visiting the Wind Village, wearing its traditional garments was part of the full experience.

The outfits resembled those of nomadic tribes—soft layers of fabric paired with wool hats—and were incredibly warm and comfortable to wear.

As for their soaked clothes, Tiemuzhen and Asu's mother placed them into a stone basin filled with water.

She didn't use her hands to wash them.Instead, just like Tiemuzhen had done earlier when operating the round flying disc, she lifted a wheel-shaped device in her hand and began to spin it.

As the wheel turned faster and faster, a mysterious gust of wind lifted the clothes right out of the basin.

The garments whirled through the air, washed by the floating stream water, forming a swirling column that looked like a rising water tornado—magical and mesmerizing.

"Waaah! That's amazing!"

For city kids like Da Xiong and his friends, it was the first time seeing anyone wash clothes like this.It completely overturned their idea of what "doing laundry" meant.

"Haha, you don't need to be that surprised," Tiemuzhen said with a chuckle as he walked over.

"Our people of the Wind Village have lived by relying on the power of the wind since the beginning.Whether it's drawing water, planting crops, raising livestock, or even fishing—all of it depends on wind."

Seeing their astonished faces, he smiled proudly and continued,

"Come on, I'll take you on a proper tour of our village."

Indeed, the Wind Village was like a paradise hidden away from the world—a secluded land that outsiders rarely, if ever, visited.

Though technically part of Earth, it remained untouched by modern civilization, unknown to the outside world.

As Tiemuzhen led them through the village, Da Xiong and his friends marveled at the villagers' unique way of life.

They also encountered countless wondrous creatures that could only exist in a place like this.

Aside from the flying sheep they had seen earlier, there were balloon-like raccoons that could inflate themselves;turtles that could glide through the air;pufferfish that could blow gusts of wind;snakes that hopped instead of slithered;and even snails that used wind power to move faster than rabbits!

And that wasn't all—there were moles equipped with what looked like rocket boosters, and schools of flying fish that filled the skies like floating thunderclouds.

By the time the tour ended, Da Xiong and the others felt as if their worldviews had expanded beyond imagination.

They followed the path through the village until they arrived beneath the enormous windmill they had noticed before.

"This windmill is called the Elder Windmill. It's the symbol of our village," Tiemuzhen explained.

His eyes gleamed with reverence as he looked up at it.It was clear that everyone in this village held their own faith in the wind.

"You guys really know how to make use of wind power," Doraemon said admiringly.

Coming from the twenty-second century, he had a wide understanding of technology—and he could tell that these windmills played a vital role in the village's survival.

"Oh, right, Tiemuzhen," Da Xiong suddenly said, turning toward him with a puzzled look."Those people who were chasing Asu earlier… were they also from the Wind Village?"

"No. They're from the Lan Tribe. They're not like us. They're not children of the wind!"

The moment Da Xiong mentioned it, a flash of anger appeared on Tiemuzhen's face.

Unlike the Wind Village, the Lan Tribe also had the power to control wind—but they used it destructively, twisting its force for evil.

Their chieftain, Ulanda, was infamous.Rumor had it he wanted to use the Wind Monster Ma Fengka to dominate the entire world—a story well known among the Wind Village's people.

Naturally, they despised the Lan Tribe.

Especially after what had just happened, Tiemuzhen's hatred for them only deepened.

If Doraemon and the others hadn't happened to be nearby to save Asu,she might have fallen from that great height and been seriously injured—or worse.

"Lan Tribe…?"

Da Xiong, Doraemon, Fat Tiger, and Suneo all looked equally confused. The name meant nothing to them—it was completely unfamiliar.

"Tiemuzhen!"

Just as they were puzzling over the name, Kunmuzhen, Duomuzhen, and Yamuzhen arrived, flying over on their wind discs.

When Tiemuzhen had taken Da Xiong and the others home earlier, they had gone back briefly—now, they had caught up to rejoin them.

"Perfect timing, everyone's here! Let's go play Wind Toss!" Duomuzhen called out cheerfully as they landed.

"Wind Toss? What's that?"

Da Xiong, Doraemon, Fat Tiger, and Suneo all tilted their heads at once, question marks practically floating above them.

The name sounded… suspiciously like some kind of weapon.

"It's a super fun game!" Duomuzhen grinned. "Da Xiong, Doraemon, Fat Tiger, Suneo—come join us!"
